From BBC Sport....

It's more down to the fact that Ricksen's contract has a value to the club as well as the player i.e. we can get some money back if we sell him
-
You would think that but |I reckon it's another one of Mcleish's signings on supposed reputation rather than good scouting.
-
Given the competition for places, the higher standard of fitness levels and discipline brought to Ibrox by PLG, I see no reason why we cant regain the league and compete to a decent standard in the UEFA cup. The SPL is the priority and I would use the CIS cup to give fringe players a couple of competitive games.

The best chants are the funny one's. I remember an e-mail of funny chants not too long ago e.g. sung to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank " Your just a fat Eddie Murphy! " quality.

Which one, Cammy's or the 'Loyal Men In Blue' ?

Fellow Gers fans ..... it's time to make the right decision
stewarty replied to Falkirk Jim's topic in Rangers Chat
I just hope the minority dont ruin things for the majority. Fingers crossed... -
I wouldnt have minded either way but am not surprised by PLG's decision. Had Ricksen stayed then it would not have sent out the right message to what is a relatively young squad. Because of the standards of discipline that the manager has dictated that everyone must follow then it's just not possible to accomodate a senior squad player and former captain who cant behave himself and set the required example.

I remember Shota blessed himself at least 3 times on his debut for Rangers. Once when he came on as a sub and once again for each of his 2 goals. Dont remember anyone making a fuss then but agree that it's the kind of double standards, narrow minded, petty nonsense thats likely to continue for a good long while.

The only hoolly I know is Miss Hooley from Balamory. Stewarty, CBeebies Loyal

Letizi's about 33 if memory serves me but I take your point building a young team. Disagree about conceding the title because I think we can build for the long term whilst pumping their sorry asses.
-
I think a centre half would be the priority now. If Svensson and J-Rod got injured (touch wood) then we're left with FanFan, Malcolm & Murray which doesn't fill me with confidence.
-
Good news.... Protracted negotiations seem to be the way at the moment but if we get him, and he's as good as we hope then it was all worth the saga

Anyone got a number for the Sunday People subscriptions?

I voted for Ricksen. He's got experience and he's a senior member of the squad - if he can buck up his attitude I think he's got a lot to offer. Having said that I'm happy to go with whatever Monsieur Le Guen decides and if it's a P45 for Fernando then I wouldn't be dissapointed.
-
I wish him well but it seems strange that he was so determined to leave yet has no-one else to play for. Was he not going to play in the States for a season or so to finish his career?
-
From the bits and pieces i've seen of pre-season as well as the Motherwell game he deals pretty well with cross balls. He looks to catch mostly which if he does regularly and with confidence will be brilliant - something we've not really had for a while.
-
It's a great position to be in. Inevitably someone will have to drop out but it's a squad game and they will all be needed at various times throughout the season. Cant fault Le Guen for the way he's shaping his team though - compare the way Mcleish done things it's like chalk and cheese.
-
it's early days but the sionko & clement look like being key players. wee charlie was a revelation- begs the question why mcleish didn't keep him instead of loaning him to st mirren but would he have been the same player he his because of the experience?
-
aye they were pretty poor. joke brown's been doing some of the rangers games on rtv so that suggests he's still there...
-
Whats happened to Joke Brown, Rob Maclean and Mark Hateley then?
