Cheers, I knew that really!

Is it just me, or has the forum clock been put forward rather than back?

I think overall they do. I think that sometimes you dont realise how many decisions go your way when your winning and playing well insomuch that when your not playing well you notice every single one because it's crucial. Having said that, we have had a really rough few games, referee wise, so I can see how you might not believe that decisions do average themselves out. I would point out though, we simply haven't been good enough this season and there's no point pointing the finger at ref's when we should be pointing the finger at ourselves.

19 points from 12 games so far. Transitional period or no, this isn't good enough. Sadly, we're lacking the ability to kill teams off and we're getting caught out out too often. Even when we manage to score a couple of goals we're still letting the opposition back into the game by conceding soft goals. Admittedly some decisions have gone against us but we cant blame referee's as these types of decisions even themselves out over the season. Would like to see us go for the juggular a bit and play with a really high tempo. Still think we're going to give somebody a real doing some day but I've been saying that since the first game of the season.

Lol. I read that story too. What utter nonsense that totally undermines efforts to reduce sectarianism

There was a story about Hutton in the paper (either the Sun or the Rebel) this week about him trying to get into the Shed in Shawlands with a bunch of his mates who were all pissed. He was saying 'do you know who i am?' like a proper billy big time twat. That, if anything, will be his downfall. If he can knuckle down and concentrate on improving his game I reckon he will be a good player
-
I'll got for a chairman that nearly gets you bankrupt - oh, wait! We've already got one of those
-
No great surprise. Hope he gets a couple of games as a farewell though.
-
Steven Pressley is going to make a cracking manager when he hangs up his boots BTW.
-
With a bit of luck it galvanises the team into getting a result vs Celtic next weekend but it's not looking good for the Jam Tarts.
-
It's an interesting one. If his price is £3m then I would have doubts whether we would pay that much. He could favour Celtic given that his mates are there (Caldwell & Riordon) but he might look at Riordon and think he's never going to get a game. If he joins Rangers he's got stiff competition for a midfield berth (Fergie, Hemdani, Clement, Burke etc) and his chances might be limited. Rumour has it that he prefers Rangers so I guess we just need to wait and see. My money is on him being at Easter Road till at least the end of the season, although that opinion might change depending on who gets the managers job

Thats pretty much how I'm reading it too. He's not going to be disillusioned one moment and then be happy to stay the next unless somethings changed.
-
Damn just missed him. Anyone hear him?
-
Thats some first post mate!
-
He's not a regular goal scorer. I think he's got about 12 goals for each of the past 2 seasons - not what we need I'm afraid.
-
Sorry Gribzy- think I just misread your original post.

Sutton was getting a power of abuse when he came on yesterday

Michael Ball. Now, there's a surprise.
stewarty replied to elderslieblue's topic in General Football Chat
He had horrendous luck with injuries which meant he never fulfilled his potential. That said - for a man with a cracking left foot he hardly scored (maybe once) and his cross balls were awful -
Just make small bets for interest like £1 or £2. Stuff losing £10 & £20 - footballs too unpredictable.
-
I've been thinking that he's needed a goal to get a wee bit of confidence so hopefully this is just the start. Adam the new Albertz? Why not but Adam will need to work on his accent has the Hammer sounds more Scottish than he does!
-
Ligthen up Gribz. We shouldn't get carried away but we should at least recognise a good performance given the teams current form, the dreadful conditions, the fact we scored 3 goals away to a team who have a reputation for not conceding and hardly lose at home. Credit where credit's due - PLG got it spot on. Lets see what happens tomorrow.
-
I thought it was a good moment. He's obviously desperate to play and Le Guen has given him his chance and he's saying "you cant leave me out now". Hopefully he gets another goal tomorrow. If Novo and Boyd keep their partnership going we really will be giving someone a real going over soon.

Didn't say I necessarily agree with everything said just that it was interesting. Good to hear different points of view to get a balanced perspective. That said, Calscot's mouth is big enough to speak for itself!
