It seems to me the Chairman keeps hoping that we'll get a win in the next game to take a bit of the heat off. Certainly it's worked if we've played in the UEFA cup as we've done comparitively well but last night was unacceptable. PLG seems to have problems with motivation - time for Super Ally methinks.
-
Cant blame Fergie for last nights performance. If, as you say, he stifles other midfielders then surely last night they would have been able to express themselves and get the job done!?
-
I haven't been to Ibrox for a few seasons but every time I listen to the radio and can hear Cameron on the tannoy over the commentators I cringe because it sounds so contrived.
-
Cammy's decision to go see Rancid turns out to have been right.
-
Agreed. But can we really blame Le Guen? Yes some of selections have been odd but the players need to take responsibility and the Chairman needs to back his manager with some proper funds.
-
FFS! I'm losing all patience now. Can we not just play in the Uefa Cup every week?
-
I read on the official site that he was a forward - saying that - the officical site is a pile of pish. Im pretty sure he scored last week for the reserves tho
-
McGregor Hutton - Hemdani - Svensson - Smith Novo - Clement - Rae - Adam Boyd - Stanger This wouldn't be my first choice striking partnership but Stanger hasn't had a chance yet so I dont see any harm in giving him a go - he cant do any worse.
-
Falkirk win on penalties! Ya dancer. Exactly what Celtic dont want - 120 mins of energy sapping cup football followed by the emotional rollercoaster of penalties.
-
There's a chance that Ibrox might have a similar attendance tomorrow night considering how disillusioned the majority of the supoorters are.
-
Seriously? That must be their lowest for quite some time. I see Falkirk have pushed them into extra time as well!
-
Hemdani's not done too badly when he's played centre half. I'm not saying I'd play Rae there but Ian Murray is a versatile defender who would do a decent job.
-
Me confused? RYD is owned by Rangers and is a separate entity to ensure that funds are ring-fenced by the club so that money for youth development is not spent on transfer fees or other areas of the club. Surely it would not make sense for RYD or Rangers to allow a situation where our best players are offloaded to the highest bidder
-
It would be unfair to criticise you for missing any games never mind one game that you know will probably be a turgid affair with no atmosphere.
-
I'll go for Hutton based on those choices but Ian Murray must be in with a shout when re returns to full fitness. Also, better stick Gavin Rae up there as an option for wee Fraser.
-
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the debate continues.... I'm happier with Hutton playing than with Bardsley. PB hasn't done much to stand out and arguably neither has AH but if it's the choice between an short-term loan signing with reputed attitude problems and a Scottish young player brought through the ranks then I'll pick the latter, especially since there's not a lot to choose between them based on performances. Having said that, Alan Hutton needs to sort out his billy big time attitude - too many stories in the papers. He needs to forget going out boozing with his pals and focus on his career or else he'll end up playing part-time for Cowdenbeath rather than fulfilling his potential.

I think the article is quite right to temper our enthusiasm with a bit of reality. We haven't shown enough on the home front to suggest that we wont play anything like we did against Haifa today. Also, beating Haifa and Livorno, good wins in the context of our season they may be, but not exactly top class opposition. Having said all that - lets get right intae the DU today and give them a real doing. I just hope we play with a really high tempo today - always difficult on the back of a European game but thats what 3 subs are for!
-
Le Guen's always inclined to tinker with the line-up and freshen up given we had a tough game on Thursday but would like to see him show confidence in the players and play the same team
-
Well, we got two very dubious penalty decisions vs Maccabi Haifa.
-
Davie Cooper has to get in there somewhere for me.

Cant believe you didn't find room for Capucho, Emerson & Flo. Shocker!
-
I think Billy Thompson's doing a good job as it is - no reason to change it. Would love to see some legends back at Ibrox - Coisty coaching the strikers, Goughie working with the defense etc but cannae see it happening

You'd have to be a mug to take that job. Guarantee Levein doesn't make it it until next Christmas
