Agreed, he's done hee haw since being at Hibs and doesn't even get a regular game for Brum. I dont think Walter would take him after the way he behaved as part of his Scotland squad so this looks like paper talk to me. Either that or his agent trying to drum up some interest...
-
He's got a point though. The pitch is pretty poor. Even Walter admitted the Firhill pitch we played the other week, which has had Egg Chasing played on it all season as well as footy, was in better nick than ours despite it being relayed.

Mmmm, I am tempted I have to say. Quite fancy a one-nil or a two-nil as I reckon there's more to come from us...

It's a pretty pathetic attempt in all honesty. As Juffs says - leave them to it. Why waste your time?
-
Lol. I shouldn't have left myself open to that one. Schoolboy error.

She's dumped Billy Zane now too. I knew those voodoo dolls would work!

Well, to a large extent we have cleaned up our act so the fines dished out by UEFA have worked. It's not so much the initial fines but the possible further sanctions should they not take heed.

A fine is the only likely punishment, if anything. And our fines from UEFA weren't anything like £50k IIRC so it probablhy wouldn't be that much anyway.

Agreed, in the CCTV age, they should be able to get enough coverage of fans to provide reasonable assurance that any naughty behaviour will be caught on camera. One thing that would make a difference though is common sense stewarding. If they are doing their job properly and have the authority to remove offending fans then alot of this would neve happen in the first place. Unfortunately we have Little Hitlers who are more interested in watching the game than doing their job.

Fair do's. I'm sure most folks here, myself included, have no objection to your posting here. A wee bit of banter never hurt anyone and I have not found anything objectionable in anything you have so far posted.

Ah, it must have been the stench of hypocrisy then... :fish:

Exactly, it is ludicrous. There's always the risk of nutjob elements of all sets of fans doing stupid things. I await a dismissive response from Celtic at some point.

Ok then, so what are Celtic likely to do? It's not an official demand for the stadium to be closed because it's from a supporters body. They have no obligation to take this seriously and are likely to come out with something dismissing the notion as laughable. It's definitely leaving us open to tit-for-tat retaliation and I think it would have been far better to allow the SPL/SFA to handle the fall out of the incident. That way, the club can make their views known privately and whatever sanctions can be imposed as seen fit. Now, if the SFA/SPL chicken out of taking action or sanctions, that would be different.

Perhaps. As I said, I can see the tactics that may be in play but there is no way that Rangers would demand Celtic Park be closed -certainly not publicly. If Rangers did do this then the outcome would be damaged relations between the two clubs which would be bad for everyone.

Fair do's. I kind of understand that this may be driven by ulterior motives i.e. to raise awareness surrounding the lack of action from Celtic surrounding sectarianism, fan behaviour etc; but it doesn't sit well with me. I think there must be better ways of doing this...

I'm annoyed at the spin the Record has put on this. Perhaps I have misunderstood and given the way it has been reported it's perhaps easy to see why. Am I right in saying that the RST want to have some dialogue with Celtic with regards to crowd safety given recent incidents? At no point was any RST spokesperson quoted as saying that the game would be played behind closed doors - to say that would not show the RST in the best light in my view.

I knew this and it's good development for Ally. Without doubt he is being groomed to takeover in the next few seasons.

Craig makes some good arguments. Perhaps the crucial one for me is the fact that if we finish the game without losing then the league is virtually in the bag. It's perhaps a cynical view to have and I have no doubt Cuellar regrets doing it but had we got the draw then instead of having this argument it would be about whether Carlos cheated or not.

I have been once before and was too pished to notice if there were plumes of anything.
-
We've been grinding out results and scoring late goals too so I dont have a problem with them doing it, however jammy they are. What I am annoyed at is the amount of space afforded to Nakamura - especially for the first goal and the shot which Cuellar saved. He was cutting inside a lot more and getting involved so perhaps Strachan deserves a bit of credit for adjusting his tactics to get the best out of him. We had him in our pocket for most of the game - it was just dissapointing that a couple of lapses in concentration have cost us.
-
Yes, it was a gamble that nearly paid off. It would have been save of the season had we held out for the draw.

This just makes it interesting. Altogether now... "We shall not, we shall not be moved!"
