  1. Anyone know who's doing the commentary for our game?

I think a poll is in order!!

    Help

I'm pretty sure your name can be changed.
  4. Were Celtic not interested in him last summer or am I talking Raphael Scheidt?
  5. Thanks Ricky and welcome to Gersnet. We welcome anyone who adds to the debate and can handle a bit of banter.
  6. I'll join your team Gribzy! I can see Miller and Boyd being a good partnership. Miller doing the tracking back and the running in the channels, and Boyd prowling the penalty box. I also agree that he wouldn't necessarily be my first choice either but 'In Walter We Trust' and you just have to look at the signings of Davis (although his form has been patchy), Dailly, Weir, Cuellar etc, to see that he knows how to pick a player or two.
  7. That was my first thought as well.
  8. Well done to all. Just realised I never got round to voting
  9. Still on. Juffs and I will arrive approx 2 or 3pm all going well. Meet will be in Albert Square. PM if you want my mobile number.
  10. Fernando is their 2nd choice right back but Wee Dick says he has a chance as his first choice has been playing with an injury...
  11. Right chaps. Now that we know there's going to be screens to watch the game it's time to arrange our meet up. Let me know if you are able to come and want to meet up although Juffs and myself will not get there till the afternoon. Cammy/Del - Do you have the Gersnet flag? If so, can it be dusted down and brought along. I figure if we all just search for the flag and meet up in Albert Square then the job's a good un.
  12. That article didn't say much. It's last paragraph was, again, about encouraging fans without tickets to remain in Glasgow. Manchester Council should join the SPL who have had their heads stuck in the sand for quite some time!
  13. Well said. I was pleased with SDM in putting pressure on the SPL last night and a further extension may yet be on. I hope all Rangers fans, regardless of RST membership, back this and give the SPL pelters.
  14. Gutted. Yet again a Scottish footballing authority has failed to be proactive. Had they taken the measures I have suggested above they would not be in this position. Even the SFA tried to step in it seems which is good but the sooner our game is co-ordinated through one centralised body, rather than the triumvarate of pish we have presently, the better.
  15. I firmly believe that common sense will prevail. Hard hats on for the Timmy backlash but feck them. Can you imagine if the SPL dont do something and we lose the UEFA Cup? I for one would be pretty angry at them. For me, they should have said to every SPL club about 3 months ago that they should prepare to have the season extended by two weeks as a safety measure, just in case they are unable to resolve the fixture problems. Instead what they did was bury their head in the sand and say "we'll just wait and see how Rangers progress in the next round". Fine, but they had no contingency plan so now they're screwed and they deserve all the criticism coming their way, regardless of whether they finally do the right thing and extend the season. Hibs midfielder Brian Kerr is in the paper today saying he is £2k down after having to cancel his holidays. If his insurance company dont pay out, the SPL must be forced to foot the bill for Kerr and every other player in the same boat. Had the SPL been proactive and notified all SPL clubs of a possible league extension 3 months ago, the number of players in a similar position to Kerr would have been minimal. No wonder Walter Smith et al are raging about this. It's pathetic and I await some good news later today.
  16. The only objection I can see from QoS is that the new proposal will mean they'll not have played a competitve game for a month come Scottish Cup Final Day. Also, would giving QoS a bung be seen as Rangers 'buying' the Scottish Cup?

    Hemdani

Yip. But Hemdani was by far the worst. Particularly frustrating were the times when he passed backwards when there were better options in front of him. At times he put defenders under pressure because he shited out of playing a forward pass. Not good enough for a man of his ability.

    Hemdani

My father-in-law said, as Hemdani coolly slotted his penalty home last night: "I'm surprised he didn't hit it backwards!" I laughed but it was true. He was very poor last night and he doesn't seem to be the player he was last season in Europe, or even earlier this season. The biggest thing seems to be that he is so negative in the way that he plays. Hardly ever a forward pass and several times he thwarted some good attacking opportunities by not looking up. I'm loathe to criticise given the fact we are through but so many times last night I was shouting at the TV because he was frustrating the hell out of me. Perhaps this is the role he is being asked to play by Smith but I'm not so sure that is the case. What's other folks opinion on this?
  19. Lol. There's been some cracking banter too. Can you tell we're all excited?
  20. Stick on a miniskirt and some heels and I'm sure Gribz'll be interest. He loves his ladyboys! :moon:

    Giruy

Tremendous isn't it? The warcry of a loser!!! Arsehole!
  22. Yip, it's the Manculator...
  23. Word I've heard is that we have 13,000 tickets which is to be split between fans + tickets for the players family and friends as well as rangers own corporate sponsors All travel club members will get one. After that it'll be a ballot for all Continuous Credit Card Scheme members with no public sale unfortunately. It'll be hook or by crook i'm afraid chaps. Unless your one of the lucky ones...
  24. The Manculator starts here. I reckon there'll be 300,000 bears there!
  25. Dignity personified. A true Rangers legend. Arise Sir Walter!
