  1. If he played for his clubs the same as he does for NI then I would take a chance on him. Trouble is, throughout his career, his club scoring record is mince. That said, if he is a dyed-in-the-wool Bluenose as they say - if there's going to be a club team who can inspire him to emulate his international form then it's going to be Rangers so maybe a wee loan deal with an option to buy for a pre-agreed fee wouldn't be so bad.
  2. Boyd seems to be reluctant to move unless he gets offered megabucks. Fair play - I would do the same thing but there's still plenty of time left in the transfer window for this to develop into a Hutton-like saga.
  3. Real Radio are saying that his replacement could be David Healy. I.e. the internantional striker of note who has a completely non-existent club scoring record and virtually every club he's been at (at least in comparison to Kris Boyd). I will be gutted if this happens...
  4. The credit crunch is biting and ouch, it's gonna be a sore one if this happens!
  5. I really really hope he doesn't go. If we get offered silly money then okay but it would have to be silly money i.e. £8-9 million.
  6. So, he goes through the entire Celtic team like a dose of the trots yethe still thinks they'll win the title. I'm confused...
  7. Would be a shame to see the wee guy leave but I could understand why he might want to. He's what, 30 now? That could potentially be his last chance of a decent move earning good money.
  8. Merry Crimble everyone!
  9. Excellent wee opinion from the Irish Indpendent. "No way, they're Scotlands problem now" was particularly apt.
  10. I'm pretty sure I heard it being sung at the last Old Firm game but couldn't hear the exact words being sung. Anyone else remember this?
  11. I think you should go for it. You could do a 'behind enemy lines' type column every week. Tis the future I tell ya!
  12. Ignore the link and go to the Rangers megastore. I just ordered mine and wasn't restricted to the fat bastard sizes. https://www.rangersmegastore.com/
  13. So what are you going to do? If you got the job, would your heart be in it? Not doubting your professionalism but its an interesting question...
  14. Heard Redknapp on Radio 5 saying that he's not going to ask Adams to come given his Arsenal connections. Stranger things have happened though.
  15. Both teams work together when their combined presence adds weight to, or in indeed adds to, a given proposition. The joint sponsorship with Carling, and others in recent times, serves as a case in point. I'm sure most fans on both sides would prefer to have a separate sponsor but if we can get bigger/better deals because it's joint then I'm all for it. And I would extend that to other activities such as the ticket handling charges.
  16. No harm in giving it a go to see how it works
  17. Agreed. But both articles are far too sensible and un-sensationalist to get the coverage they deserve.
  18. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench next week.
  19. ....dirty wee turncoat. That is all.
  20. Cheers Welcome to Gersnet!
  21. Fergie, no question. The thing I always say is how much we miss him when he's not there. I always remember the games when Fergis is rested and it's only then you realise how much he drives the team on - we're like a rudderless ship sometimes! The first few games of this season are a case in point until David and Mendes came in. Fergie's best form for Rangers has been when he has been playing along side 'better' players such as your De Boer's, Van Bronckhorst's, Albertz's etc; as opposed to your Malcolm's, Emerson's and your Capucho's. And for that reason, as well as the fact that he's the club captain, Fergie will sail back into the team and when he gets pack to peak fitness, methinks it'll coincide with some of our best play for a while.
  22. Anyone know if this is actually Chic?
  23. Good find Cammy. Certainly puts things into a bit of perspective. You just need to look at countries like Croatia and Spain who have particularly bad problems with racism to realise that the famine song isn't as bad as its made out. That said, I would rather we just got stuck into them for being paranoid and shite!
  24. We might not be the busiest board going but that doesn't mean that debate is ignored. A lot of peeps have busy work and family lives, such as myself, and dont get time to post as often as they'd like. Other peeps prefer the banter and dont get bogged down in some of the heavier debates very often. The famine song and the relative merits of the RST have been debated pretty regularly and perhaps some folks dont want to re-hash over old ground. That's not to say you dont have a point or that this thread doesn't have any relevance so if you have some points to make then please feel free to make them. One of the great things about this forum is that debate is encouraged so get stuck in and I promise you that someone will reciprocate (providing your not just talking sh1te!:fish:) As for your point about getting logged out, have you raised this with any admin/ mods? This might be something which can be easily fixed and might even be a problem for others. Cheers, Stewarty Now Only An Occasional Poster Loyal RSC
  25. Mccoist said to Chick Young pre-match that it was because he wasn't performing to the same level as he was last year. Fair dos in my book. A wee kick up the arse is needed sometimes
