Not a Keane fan then Ian? :fish:

Ever the optimist, eh! The point being that if we are to stand any chance of qualification we need to get off to a good start. That means winning our first two fixtures. Assuming Spain run away with it, it appears we are competing with Czech to get the play-off spot. Therefore, the Czech away fixture is massive and any points we get there are likely to be crucial. And I don't think its that implausible - if Levein gets us going from the off, we can carry a bit of momentum into the game and who knows? As for Spain, we could easily do to them as we did to France so for me, with my super-optimistic hat and tartan army tinted specs on, I think its doable! :spl:

That was my reaction too. Minimum 7 points required from the Lithuania, Liechtenstein and Czech games with the Spain game being Brucie's Bonus time if we are extremely lucky.

Only one side of the story so I would be careful about making your mind up so quickly. Especially from the NOTW who's conduct, as others have said, is pretty shameful. ** Edit - I feel dirty now having clicked the link to that rag...

Crisis? What crisis?

BHEASTS - SPL Clubs Against The Establishment

Not clicked the link but if its what I think it is, the jambos tell them to jog on.... Mwahahah -
I stand corrected then. McCann talking about the same thing as we speak!
-
That doesn't make sense. If he was booked and has crossed the threshold, he misses the game. Unless the number of points each booking attacts depends on the offence but I haven't heard anything like that before, for bookings at least.

IIRC you only appeal straight reds for non-violent conduct.

A very pertinent point, and one often missed, ignored or not realised. On the point of Muir speaking out or answering questions. It would be, frankly, bizarre if Muir was to do so. As said by someone else, that responsibility is for the Chief Exec or possibly the Chairman. By all means a non-executive director can have duties which involve being a public face for an organisation but I would suggest that dealing with press and internet speculation would not be such an instance.

Statement From Rangers Supporters in Respect of the Protest
stewarty replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Noticed that myself. I wonder if the irony dawned on wabash before posting the link? On another note, and to defend wabash to an extent, one of the purposes of a Non-Exec is to protect shareholder interest and value. And on that basis, his appointment appears to be on the basis of protecting MIH as the majority shareholder. -
If we get a fee > £5m (hopefully towards £7m) then he can leave. Hopefully Smith can pick another foreign centre half and start the whole process again, bagging a nice wee profit in transfer fees in the process.

I've got my optimistic hat back on after the initial shock of seeing who we had. Regardless of who the big seed is, there's always a chance we can pull off a result akin to v France under Smith/ McLeish.

So you believe someone from the world web web above a set of audited accounts? Jog on...

Switched over to see the Pars stick away the penalty. "Keano, what's the score?" - loving the Pars songbook!
-
If Levein gets off to a good start, I agree we can be cautiously optimistic. Much will depend on getting the squad togetherness and team spirit akin Smith, McCoist and Burns' reign.
-
Yup. Because a bank would never, ever, ever, cross my hear and hope to die, ever, ever, ever act only in their own self-interest and lie about their intentions.

All I can say is.... Oofft!

Would love it if we got England...

He's not so subtley implying that SDM still holds all the aces. Interestingly though I did read in today's Metro that MIH has just bought an old wine merchants business in Edinburgh that was in administration. That may contradict the notion that MIH is struggling as badly as thought...

I think we can expect him to further work his ticket at the end of the year... The move he has been wanting is only round the corner methinks...
