Its a tricky one. And Smith isn't to know how the games will pan out. Had Celtic and Rangers won tonight, no-one would bat an eyelid. But then if we then go to Tynecastle on Saturday and get beat, and Celtic won again...suddenly its a wee chink in the armour and there are faint hopes for the Green and Grey hoops fightback. Not saying I like it but I can understand why Smith has done it. I think we also need to be realistic in terms of the overall state of the club.

Also, I think the guaranteed CL money for winning the league very much makes the Tim's result more important than ours. Certainly in terms of what money we might have to spend to refresh the squad and our ability to reduce the debt.

I certainly am disappointed and do not relish the defeat . I was merely pointing out a small positive in the fact we did.

United deserved it, no question. In some way I'm actually quite relieved we went out. Can you imagine the shrieking and wailing from the Mhanks if we got a victory tonight? 3 penalty shouts and a legit goal not given..... It would be twisted as being confirmation that the refs are biased.

Sorry, I should clarify... Of course we are allowed to appeal, but its not really in the spirit of the game which is why it shouldn't be allowed. The timing of the appeal speaks volumes

Indeed. And that kind of tactic shouldnt be allowed, be it us or anyone else. If the SFA had asked the ref to review his decision in anticipation of an appeal then I don't have a problem with that. Of course we expect that this would be the case for other clubs in the future so one to bookmark for future reference!

I think most of the bullshit has come from the speculation in the media and the online community. I will await something more official before passing judgement. And I'm not sure the minutes and other references dug out from the GCC website tells us one way or the other.
