I can't fathom how, when last season they were kicking up a right stink about Clodwell and McAnus being shite, they eventually turn to O'Dea. He didn't do to badly, certainly in comparison to the rest of them and Lennon even make him captain. What the fuck has happened since then?

Like Reid would make misleading public statements... Pah!

A quick google search can sometimes prove useful... http://www.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk/disclosure/disclosure-table Maybe just the way I read this, but it seems to me that the Rangers/RFC Holdings disclosure is a deletion, thus will no longer be listed on the takeover panel.

Ha ha, I did the same thing about 30 minutes ago!

Beattie doesn't look too impressed based on that picture, Frankie! Not that its much to go on, but I though the picture of Chris Eagles was similarly revealing.

I think Beattie should have enough experience and guile to make an impression on the SPL. Whilst not exactly a marquee signing, it reflects our status in the game that we are competing for EPL/Championship cast-offs. I just hope Bain has enough savvy to get him on a modest basic salary, but with good add-ons for appearances and goals. Also, the thing with someone like Beattie is that he should be sufficiently motivated now that he is moving into the final contract or two as a professional player. He can't have that many medals in the locker, so coming to Ibrox and competing for the SPL and taking part in the CL should mean that he has something to show for himself when talking to the grandweans. Get him signed then!

I'll take the Hibbees on 22nd August

Just wait till he misses his first tap-in, and you'll be back cursing him as normal.

A brilliantly Timmy-esque short-term mentality. Love it!

Takes one to know one.

Shame on you, Craig. I'd rather my boys were gay!

Cracking wee goal there from Braga. Big looping cross from the wing and the boy Cesar darted in front of the centre half (couldn't quite make out who it was) and a wee looping header past the despairing dive of Holy Goalie Mk2

Or, rather, an indictment on Celtic after getting pumped on Wednesday night. No CL means no reason to up sticks with his family.

When I hear that we are 'trialling' an international player I am both encouraged and worried at the same time. Firstly, we are giving the player an opportunity to see what life is like at the club so that both parties can get a glimpse of how he fits in with the squad; and thus we can get an indication as to whether he will settle and be an effective player. But, on the other hand, what does it say about our scouting network that we can identify a player, yet do not have the confidence to make a bid. Have we not watched him, commissioned background reports, spoken to coaches and other contacts to find out his character and abilities?

Maybe selling Bougherra wouldn't be so bad. His attitude is sometimes questionable and he's nearing the end of his contract so we may not have a better time to cash in. If we could get the readies in from his sale and that could, say, fund Walter to buy in 2-3 additional players of decent quality, that would be a good thing. Bougherra would be a difficult man to replace I would accept, but Walter's not done too badly at finding centre half's since his return so I reckon he could do it again.

Nah, they'll still have the 'its fine, it means we can concentrate on the league' phase to go through first.

He's done a decent job at Yorkshire CC as far as I can tell. He's overseen the redevelopment of Headingly and Yorkshire are playing pretty well at the moment in the county championship (top of Division 1 iirc). He at least appears to have some pedigree. Whether that translates into success running an antiquated organisation such as the SFA remains to be seen.

Loving the fact that Lennon has been blaming the ref. Classy guy so he is!

I tend to agree with Stevanovich on this one. If he's a player we want to have longer term, and we have a chance of getting him, regardless of the possibility of him being ineligble for the CL (rbr's post aside), I say go for it! I take the point about needing a full squad to pick from, but would it really be so bad if we had a striker ready to roll at the weekend having had an enforced rest during the week?
