  1. Yeah I just read the email... he's got a life changing opportunity. Hope it works well for him, and a potential chance for C1872 to change direction but I wont hold my breath.
  2. Netherlands - USA 1-0 Argentina - Australia 2-0 France - Poland 3-1 England - Senegal 1-0 Japan - Croatia 1-1 (joker) Brazil - South Korea 2-0 Morocco - Spain 0-3 Portugal - Switzerland 2-2
  3. You are correct. C1872 made an announcement on it and yes he did work at the Club at King's behest alongside another person who is in the shadows at C1872 - Chris Graham I've no idea of the jobs they do, in all honesty. And i've no axe to grind against them personally, but this whole thing has lost any credibility. I haven't wanted to say this and have held out as long as I could, but I think C1872 needs to die. No idea what that would mean for all the shares they are responsible for, but they only have themselves to blame.
  4. Is this you slowly coming round to the new Manager then?
  5. Just watched and that was a bizarre q&a in my view. King queries where all the money has gone yet clearly has access to the annual report the same as the rest of us. he complains the board are going in a different direction by not investing in the way he would, yet seems to have completely forgotten that one of the things this board has done is pay back the loans from king. we heard a question from Craig Houston too, though no mention was made of his job with c1872, so presumably he was there in a personal capacity. His questions focused on the board and whether others still there might share some of his views. DK responded but Houston clearly holds contempt for the board, something he is entitled to of course, but how on earth that squares with his role at c1872 and presumably trying to work productively with the club? There were other things that occurred but I just had to get that off my chest immediately. My last remaining token contributions and therefore membership of c1872 is likely now to be cancelled.
  6. Ifs, buts and maybes, but say had we beaten Celtic in February and gone on to win the league, I don't think it would have been us that pulled out of the Sydney Cup.
  7. Have edited my selections to add my joker. @Rousseau
  8. Wales 1-3 England Iran 1-1 USA Ecuador 2-1 Senegal Netherlands 2-0 Qatar Australia 0-3 Denmark Tunisia 0-4 France ** JOKER ** Poland 1-1 Argentina Saudi Arabia 0-0 Mexico Croatia 3-2 Belgium Canada 0-2 Morocco Japan 0-3 Spain Costa Rica 0-2 Germany Ghana 1-1 Uruguay Korea Republic 1-2 Portugal Serbia 1-1 Switzerland Cameroon 0-2 Brazil ** Forgot to add my joker prior to the first day of R3 games so have chosen one from Day 2
  9. As has been said by others, there are no guarantees so Beale will get my full support until he no longer deserves it. Such is the way with football.
  10. And its then Cyber Monday after the weekend. Careful with that one, could easily do yourself a mischief at your age 🤣
  11. Back top of the real competition - the correct result league! 😎
  12. The players are on holiday though, but agree the sooner the better.
  13. Wales 2-1 Iran Qatar 0-0 Senegal Netherlands 2-1 Ecuador England 4-1 USA Tunisia 1-1 Australia Poland 2-1 Saudi Arabia France 3-1 Denmark Argentina 2-1 Mexico (Joker) Japan 2-0 Costa Rica Belgium 1-0 Morocco Croatia 3-0Canada Spain 2-0 Germany Cameroon 2-2 Serbia Korea Republic 3-2 Ghana Brazil 4-0 Switzerland Portugal 2-2 Uruguay
  14. WTF???? Is this something new or has his treatment just not worked as hoped?
  15. My initial reaction to the headlines from this meeting were that he made some valid points that broadly reflect what some supporters also think. But that summary just adds more fuel to the view that he’s just looking for ways to cash out - this Fox woman for one. And if he had a legal strategy that would save the club around £5m in terms of the Sports Direct settlement, why on earth was he not sharing that with the club and using his shareholding to make sure he was heard? What did he uniquely know that our lawyers didn’t? Feels like he enjoys the attention a wee bit too much.
  16. FFS - I'm winning the correct result count but haven't stuck a single bet on so far.
  17. Agreed. And while we’re at it, let’s get the ref mic open to the crowd/TV so we can hear exactly what is being said to and by them. Would cut out a lot of the aggro and help the viewing experience. Would also shine a light directly on the refs who want to make it about them.
  18. More recently you could say John Greig/Dick Advocaat and perhaps also Gary Macc/Gerrard.
  19. I think the hits to confidence that we’ve taken from our UCL group games, coupled with the injury list, throw in some poor squad and contract management across recent transfer windows, and I think you’ve got a perfect storm where we are shit out of form, confidence and options. A team lacking in form can look a million miles away from one that isn’t. Even if the relative underlying quality isn’t that different. A new manager could change us around quite quickly but I think we really could do with some new voices in the changing room.
  20. At least if it’s Dyche, our press conferences will be entertaining again. They’ve mostly been dull as dishwater under Gio.
  21. If the players really had downed tools for Gio, which I’m far from convinced about, it’ll be interesting to see if and how many of our long term injuries start clearing up in short order.
  22. That remains to be seen. Besides, you can plan the succession of every role, type it up, get it laminated and be very self-satisfied that it’s a good plan… only to find that your identified options are not available; or that if they are, that they don’t fancy it.
  23. Doesn’t sound like there’s someone lined up then. Let’s hope that the void isn’t left for too long.
