  1. Seems to be 4.30pm start now with the team arriving about 4.45pm
  2. Seems to be down... Anyone get on?
  3. I think, after 6 months of due diligence, Mr Whyte will have a fair idea of what the state of play is within the club. Once he gets his feet under the desk and has a look under the hood, so to speak, I see no reason why he cannot quickly put his strategies into place. What concerns me more is what are Whyte's strategies? And how sustainable are the finances that will be used to implement them?
  4. Is he the boy that scored against us? Was a good effort, IIRC
  5. I'm working on the assumption that we've been asked to comment on the incident along with the arrests in Ayrshire as hinted at in the statement. To say nothing, in my opinion, would likely have been perceived negatively and would open us u to criticism over something that, as you say, didn't involve us. Whether we commented on the Dida incident is, for me, immaterial.
  6. Yep. The man is a thug and should be labelled as such. The sectarian whitewash continues.
  7. Agreed. Nothing wrong with condemning an act of violence.
  8. Hearts will be hammered for this, and rightly so. Shocking scenes
  9. Rangers FC. Don't recall anything which suggests otherwise.
  10. quite amusing, good natured stuff. but aye Frankie, nae point trying to apply rational thinking. Square pegs, round holes, etc
  11. Quite similar to your posts on here then :fish:
  12. I was pleased that the only formal interview that Whyte has given (so far) is to RTV, thus neatly sidestepping the journalistic masses who will be desperate for some soundbites. Could this be a sign of things to come?
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. Goodwillie's comments will only cast aspersions. He says, casting aspersions. Fudd! Same old from Celtic and Lennon. Get your excuses in, and get them in early. Always cheated, never defeated.
  15. I don't so much see it as folk defending the IBC and their previous actions as Board members, but rather their right to raise concerns if they feel they are valid. We don't yet have any solid information to suggest they are wrong. If it transpires that they are wrong then fair dos, but the deal has happened now so all they did was delay things and (i assume) obtain clarification and concessions on Whyte's proposals. That seems to me a good thing, however embarrassing the saga became as it dragged on.
  16. Im delighted that Labour have been given a kicking although their vote share is broadly similar to the 2007 elections. Labour were woefully inadequate in opposition to a minority govt, and with a majority govt in place they need to reassess, and quickly. Ineffective opposition benefits no-one. As for the independence question, my own vision is of a fisclly independent nation which is still part of great britain. No more pocket money parliament without real economic teeth. However, however much euphoria the Nats give off, it's still a long way off. More likely is a gradual devolvement of more and more powers. And this I think is Salmond's strategy - demonstrate that more and more powers can be used effectively by the Scottish Parliament and more people will be persuaded that independence is viable.
  17. Not for me. And crucially, Whyte has made positive noises about McCoist too.
  18. The credentialss of Betts et al seem reasonable enough. Boardroom change is inevitable it seems. I'm encouraged by some of the initial quotes from Whyte but it's too early to form opinions.
  19. No word on a press conference? Are to wait until the minority shareholders are notified of the transaction details per the Board statement?
  20. Cheers for the links!

I hope the OP is wrong. But sadly, I think he may have a point. Neil Lennon has translated his playing style into management and the club is now actively challenging all of its perceived opponents. This comabative approach is also board sanctioned and with the latest bomb threats, disgusting as they are, can only galvanise the club, the team and its supporters behind its manager. Powderkeg I think is an apt description.
  22. I can't see any of the board members motives being driven by an extra few weeks allowances.
  23. Welcome aboard to the new peeps from FF!
  24. Unbelievable. Shocking. A disgrace. We all know the SFA are biased and incompetent. How dare they require evidence before punishing "them"? What do we want? A kangaroo court! When do we want it? When it suits us.... Or something to that affect...
  25. This seems to all be part of Celtic's strqtegy to undermine the SFA. By continually stoking the flames, either officially or otherwise, they are doing a good job of diverting their own fans attention from their failings. They haven't won the league for two seasons that have seen their rivals triumph despite continuing budget restrictions and so all we hear about are the song book of our fans and the incompetence of the SFA. Both are worthy of scrutiny but Celtic just blow all perspective out of the water; and their fans and favoured hacks just love stoking the flames.
