  1. The emerging form and gradual return to fitness of Morelos is the main (only?) positive I’m taking from that.
  2. I worry we’ve become too reliant on our ability to turn games round after going behind. To the point where we don’t start games with anything like the required intensity
  3. Seems like almost every week our goalkeeping situation is exposed further. If mccrorie is fit, he surely has to get a run of games?
  4. There's so much that can happen in a transfer, you can see why some managers try to say as little as possible. Was it a bit of naivety that led to Beale speaking openly about some possible targets? He did provide some caveats, from memory, but I hope the lack of actual signings doesn't put him off from being open with us.
  5. To think this Aberdeen team sat in and defended with 10 men vs Celtic less than a month ago. Utter shitehawks
  6. Fair enough. I recall him talking about it on the Open Goal/Si Ferry podcast, but that might be the version he wanted to tell.
  7. My recollection was that he wanted to play as a main striker, Gerrard saw it differently, we got a bid from Wigan that met our valuation and asked him if he wanted to talk to them, he took the hump that we didn't all have the same opinion that he has of himself, and high-tailed it down the M6.
  8. Jack for me. There were several good performances in the end but I felt it was Jack who knitted it together, helped link play, got us forward and snuffed out danger more effectively. notable performances clearly from Sakala, Morelos )who I thought gave their defence problems instantly despite playing through his injury issues), and Davies (looking solid and was anticipating things well).
  9. That finish sums up Sakala at times. He’s shite or sugar 😂
  10. Be good to see Colak and Roofe today, not least because Morelos is playing with an injury.
  11. I’m not so sure about that. Beale himself said at Friday’s press conference that he wanted to sit down with any signings and have a detailed discussion about the role he wanted them to play in the team. He also said that because of his schedule he only had time to start doing that this week. Further, he said that he would have the final say on any deal. So it seems like he has likely made some decisions on who he wants to make offers for, so at that point it’s over to Wilson to negotiate and get the deal done. Seems like a fairly logical process, albeit like most I’d have been happier had we already got at least one name in at this stage.
  12. Indeed. I fail to see why they would be happy with a deal that limits their income, much as we are. But I think they saw an avenue to let us continue ploughing a lone furrow on SPFL governance, and are picking their battles to maintain as much influence as they can by seeming to place the rest of the country against big bad Rangers (again).
  13. I get it. We’re so used to things going against us, seemingly against all sense. But on this, it would essentially be going against the whole footballing world which has embraced VAR for all its imperfections. It’s not going back in the box in my view
  14. I don’t think it’s as simple as that. Much as they have the biggest influence, they can’t control all the votes and even they have to pick their battles. I think the sky deal is a good example of that. Essentially the tail wagging the OF dogs, and there was nothing we could do to stop it.
  15. Arfield, easily. Much for Beale to work on.
