I honestly can't read anything that he writes. Every now and again I see "Chick Young's view" on the BBC Sport website and I am tempted to read it. And when I do, I manage no more than a sentence before losing the will to live. He is simply living off his reputation now in that he invokes derision from all quarters, hence why his presence and his views create listeners, readers and comment.

Really can't understand why they didn't do this first time round rather than going round the houses with every bidder and their dog. Ergo, chase Whyte, provide an overdraft to PM and TBK's/ Brian Kennedy to fund their takeover pending a share issue. Would have preserved the value in the club and thus give them an avenue of negotiation to protect their investment.

If true, that really is despicable. D&P are playing games with the club's future.

Who knows. Given how poor D&P are at sifting bids, I reckon my offer of 50p, a Sherbert Dib Dab and 400 glass bottles of Irn Bru is still on the table. I'll away ansd check my voicemail...

The farce that is D&P continues.

Its been said by many before, but it really seems to me that they are out of their depth.

Thats my guess too. The fact he has pulled out so quickly after being named PB really adds another nail in the coffin that is D&P's reputation. A bit of hard nosed negotiation would surely have sniffed out that he wasn't serious?

They've continued to sniff around. BK has had talks with CW too. And correct me if I am wrong, but did BM actually have exclusivity? I'm sure I read that he didn't.

For all their scepticism, I think thats a bit of a leap of faith to assume it was the RST who have caused this. It seems his reasons for withdrawing are unclear at best, flimsy and worst.

Maybe, but it would seem to me that if he had the courage of his convictions, had the clubs best interests at heart (like he was at pains to make out that he did), he would have got on the first plane to Glasgow, conducted his business first hand with the administrators, progressed the deal and communicated his plans to the fans. For all the noise from some fans who are not happy with his outline proposal (not that I am suggesting they are wrong to have concerns, because I do too), there were plenty of others who were supportive. As I say, if thats all it took to put him off, god help him us if he was able to complete the takeover.

Yup. I also don't believe that the information provided by D&P would have given a pretty accurate picture of the club's finances. Anyone getting access to it would sign non-disclosure agreements and it clearly would not be in the interests of the admins not to be forthcoming with any reasonable requests for information or further clarity, in order to progress the bid which they said would provide the best return for creditors.

An easy get out, IMO.

There was clearly something not quite right about his bid so I am not entirely surprised.
