Ok. So will Kennedy get behind Green now?

Paul Murray and Brian Kennedy business History??
stewarty replied to CumbernauldGers's topic in Rangers Chat
Seriously guys, there's no need for the insults. -
On the contrary. My reading of it is that TB is critical of all sides and their attempts at spin and generally gamesmanship.
-
Surely TBK could have just added a little juice to their bid in writing about 11am to secure the deal. Less conditional extras, more up front and maybe a slight increase in the "quantum". It's time for action rather than words.

Paul Murray and Brian Kennedy business History??
stewarty replied to CumbernauldGers's topic in Rangers Chat
Yup. For example, say he buys some shares in a company that is failing and for whatever reason isn't able to turn it around so it is liquidated. Does that make him a bad guy or dodgy? I say that knowing nothing of those companies except to say you can't draw any conclusions from the information. Another reason for that is that although a lot of companies are "active", we don't know their financial position. -
Naismith on Twitter Responding To Matt Slater (BBC)

I think his agent would be negligent if he wasn't making noises to scope out potential moves. But as hinted at by Naisy, its down to him whether he does, unless his hand is forced in some way. -
Finally managed to watch the press conference. Not read the rest of this thread but one of the things that jumped out for me was the couple of times when questions were posed to Kennedy on things that were clearly confidential but have been leaked by the administrators. My disgust at the admins grows each day.

Who's your money on to be the next preferred bidder?
stewarty replied to bigy's topic in Rangers Chat
The only ones with the funds to do the deal now are probably Duff and Phelps. -
Seems to me a complete stitch up.
-
I'm utterly and completely fed up with the spin and prevarication from all parties.
-
Agreed. As frustrating and worrying as the lack of news can appear to us mere mortals, I really wish they'd just shut up and get the deal done. I include admins and all bidders in that regard.

Good man. Welcome!
-
Well, almost no-one!
-
I'm sure even we might be impressed if he actually achieved something. No-one was taken in by him.

Robbie Fowler would be first choice striker.

Gawd. Where's ma groan button?

How about Gough, Laudrup, Albertz, Goram. Supplement with kids. Add in a Jig and we're walking SFL3!

Oh dear. He does realise that when you mention someone else's twitter handle in a tweet, that it shows up to that person?

So many things have been wrong but you are right to point out that much of the vitriol is based on the assumption that we are guilty of things that have not yet been determined. But this is an opportunity to bring the "establishment club" down a peg or two and to provide purpose to the lives of the put upon, the obsessed. This is victimhood on a grand scale. Hence why we see all of this self interest dressed up as moral fortitude.

I'm sure there were a few military tactics you could employ to "persuade" them. How about waterboarding Whyte until he gives up his shareholding and pays ticketus? That should smooth things along nicely.

Ticketus Close To Lodging £27m Legal Claim Against Whyte.
stewarty replied to caseyjones's topic in Rangers Chat
Seems to me symptomatic in the way D&P operate. There were other aspects of their assessment that were innaccurate - e.g. ICT confirmed they were not owed money and generally they seemed to want to paint as gloomy a creditor position as possible. Now this may be a legal thing, but it just seemed to be shoddy work, devoid of attention to detail to my non-insolvency expert eyes. -
This is the first time I have seen this suggested. I think we will start next season in the SPL. As to what condition we are in, either on or off the park; or what sanctions will be applied, is anybody's guess at this moment in time.

Some good points there. I have similar conflicts. I am a bluenose through and through but am uneasy with the stereotype that is purported - i.e. the right wing, unionist, royalist, loyalist, protestant, etc. My football, my religion and my politics are mutually exclusive.
