  1. Undoubtedly there are some truths in there. But its hard to decipher between fact and assertion when they only provided limited amounts of evidence.
  2. The whole "data room" thing is clearly just a jibe at Duff & Phelps and the online data room they set up to inform interested parties who may or may not want to place a bid for the club.
  3. I would be astonished, and in my view it would be negligent of them, if Sky does not to have clauses contained in its contract with the SFA and the SPL to the effect that, if the recipient of the tv deal (the SFA) was to do something that in some way damaged the commercial viability or profitability of the product(s) that Sky offer; or if their actions were to affect the reputation of Sky themselves, that they do not have recourse to cancel the contract within given parameters. Therefore, if sufficient bears were to cancel Sky and to explain why they were doing so, this is very likely to have an impact on decisions related to their tv deals. Whether this means they cancel their contract with SFA is another matter and perhaps unlikely in the short term. But we may find that Sky drive down the amount of the deals offered in future or withdraw from bidding for the future rights to show Scotland/ Scottish Cup games.
  4. The clubs that yoyo up and down from the SPL to Division 1 like St Johnstone and Dunfermline are the ones most likely to be against our re-admittance without additional sanctions. Reason: well, they're the ones who stand to lose the least from doing so. They are well used to cutting their cloth from season to season depending on whether they can charge SPL prices and gain tv revenues. Ergo, the loss of the income from Rangers fans travelling in their thousands, and Celtic for that matter, is easier for them to cope with. Everyone else coming out with these statements is playing the long game. They probably want to hammer us into the ground but the cold hard reality of their existence is on the line. Therefore the likes of Dundee United will make lots of proclamations about difficult decisions but I think ultimately that turkeys wont vote for christmas.
  5. Aye, but what does Harry Hill have to say about it? There's only one way to find out.... FIIIIIGGGGGHHHHTT!!
  6. It was quite funny how he was stripped to pick up the trophy yet wasn't playing. And it did smack of self-centred knobbery as we can probably mostly agree on. But given I'm not a Chelsea fan, I can't bring myself to get indignant about the whole thing.
  7. Just did a google image search. Answer to my own question is no.
  8. Is this the old guy who occasionally popped up as his advisor on the Trump version of The Apprentice? (Old guy, maybe in his 70s)
  9. King seems to me like a soldier who enters the battlefield to bayonet the wounded. - If he has the club's interest at heart, why did he not tell us of this deal before hand, so that this could be publicly known and verified with Whyte? - Why did he not follow up in writing to crystallise the deal? - What has changed in his circumstances to allow him to bid for the club if Whyte actually honoured this deal? - Why should we believe him? As Tom English is fond of quoting, a South African judge described him as wholly unreliable as a witness and that his statements should be ignored unless backed up with verifiable evidence. Given Whyte has denied he made the deal, we now have the scenario where two (allegedly) proven liars are bickering over some shares that neither has any control over if we believe Charles Green and D&P. Jesus wept, I need a lie down.
  10. Note the the one direct quote from the Trump camp, mentions nothing of Rangers, or any thoughts they may or may not have had in buying the club.
  11. Ever since he started doing Your Call with Jim Traynor, Grant has sought more and more to be outspoken and to "set the agenda". Best ignored.
  12. Who's rather vague memory, not backed up with any evidence, surely cannot make a "prima facie" case?
  13. Perhaps the embargo would remain as it is attached to the transfer of SPL share, if approved by the SPL Board?
  14. I'm hoping the nicey nicey chat is dispensed with pretty quickly by Green. I know it's early doors but I'd prefer a much more robust approach to be taken.
  15. Who from Gersnet is going?
  16. RST were saying on twitter that it was part RFFF, and I presume therefore that the club paid the rest.
  17. Seems to be a lof of chat suggesting Lafferty is on his way. Especially given his dust up with the gaffer.
  18. Basically saying it wasn't within the criteria of sanctions available to them that could be applied.
  19. Was going to try and get an early night but I'm so annoyed at this I can see me getting no sleep.
  20. AN SFA independent appeals panel has this evening upheld a decision to impose a 12-month transfer embargo on the club. Duff and Phelps, administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement tonight. Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: "The decision by the appellate tribunal to uphold the sanction, namely the suspension of registration of players for one year, is not competent in the view of the Club and its legal advisers. "Such a sanction was not available to the tribunal and should not have been imposed and it is the intention of the Club to challenge the determination. "The Club will consider seeking review of this most disappointing decision and it is a matter of regret that the certainty and finality Rangers sought on this matter has not been achieved. Everyone at Rangers is bitterly disappointed and dismayed at this outcome." Charles Green, who leads a consortium purchasing the Club, said: "Our group went into the purchase of the Club with this sanction in place but we hoped the decision would at least be commuted. We fully support the Club as it considers an appeal against this latest decision." Sandy Jardine, spokesman for the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund, added: "Rangers supporters will be shocked and bitterly disappointed by this decision and will find it hard to take that the Club has been so heavily punished for the actions of individuals."
  21. I think it is binding, yes. Can't remember the exact wording though.
  22. Quite right. This fight is about to get dirty. And, to be frank, its about time.
  23. Agreed. But such is the outrage of this, I can see such things being given serious consideration.
  24. Occupy Hampden on Saturday? Edit: I've seen the suggestion on twitter rather than it being my idea.
