  1. I didn't get that level of detail, but the source is good in terms of the link to the supplier who rejected to bid for the work. You'd have to ask why they uniquely could promise to deliver on this when other, apparently reputable firms, said it wasn't possible.
  2. The contingency would likely have been to delay the project till the steel was received. However the club had promised for several years to start this work and there was pressure to get this project over the line given the likes of Bennett staking their reputation on delivering this promise. Which in turn brings us back to Board oversight and whether they were receiving accurate assurances in relation to how the project was progressing, including the sourcing of key materials. In turn that brings us back to leadership and the Board being willing to have an honest conversation with supporters about what they can realistically achieve. If they had come to us and said: here are the circumstances, there are aspects that are outwith our control, so we need to delay till next May... I think the criticism would have been far less than what it was.
  3. My info was that one of the firms invited to quote for the copland work rejected to respond to the tender because, in their opinion, there was no realistic way for the steel to arrive in sufficient time for the work to be competed ahead of the season. It was a firm that is friendly to and contributes to the club commercially, a firm that the club has used before and continues to quote for other business from us. Because of their desire to help, they even offered to bring the steel in and store it till next close season so that the work could start as soon as the last ball of the season was kicked at Ibrox. However, this also was rejected in favour of a different supplier that promised that they could in fact deliver... and we know how that went. All of that points to a failure of management oversight, and that buck stopped with Bisgrove as CEO; as well as the Board for failing to have sufficient oversight of what Bisgrove and the executive management team were up to.
  4. Such deference will get you everywhere. @Scott7 to backfill the moderator position that @Rousseau has vacated??? Or has he done a Koppen and been elevated to Admin status, with dual responsibility?
  5. Ah, that makes more sense. I only saw the thumbnail for the video on youtube. Stand down everyone.
  6. Rangers Review saying that Hagi has been told to leave. Koppen/Clement will no doubt be targeting some new bodies so a fee would be welcome if he's not going to be given a meaningful chance.
  7. I figured @Rousseau might be an East Lothian man like @Frankie. Maybe he's from Haddington. Or maybe I just heard that he's a "haddie".
  8. Agree but the show must go on, regardless whether we have someone for every position or not. When we do get a new CEO, they will have to prioritise where they spend their time and energy. It seems that the Board have seen enough in Koppen to elevate his role, and that at least makes a bit of sense ahead of the upcoming transfer window. Ultimately it will be down to Koppen to deliver, and that will be the mandate for any new senior management /exec level appointee.
  9. I have heard it suggested that the Belgian FA interest was part of the reason we renewed Clement's contract - i.e. to secure value for the club if they come in for him. It was a Motherwell fan who suggested it though, so take it with whatever pinch or sack of salt you wish.
  10. Will do. Juffery's still around. I occasionally see him out and about, and he was supposed be on the supporters bus to the Hearts game last week, but he pulled out on the morning of the game.
  11. I've got JonC on Facebook. Loves his golf these days
  12. I thought their manager tweaked things well at HT. They were pressing us higher up the park, which in turn meant we struggled to play out from the back in the same way, particularly compared to the first half. Without Raskin and Barron pushing back and looking to regain the ball, we would have struggled even more. We were pretty scrappy with the ball throughout, particularly in the forward areas where we had too many poor touches/passes. All contributed to the possession Hearts had in my view
  13. Raskin's energy wins it for me.
  14. Barron and Raskin setting the template for the midfield bite we are going to need if we are to get something from this season.
  15. Lacking leadership on and off the park. We are getting what we deserve right now.
  16. I was saying much the same to my mate earlier. I can't see Aberdeen sitting in, I expect them to be right up for it and have a go. However, it'll be down to us to show quality in the right moments, something we haven't always managed.
  17. I fell asleep for most of that. Judging by the comments, i didn’t miss much
  18. All I'm saying is that the club are making positive noises about the changes made in relation to the catering aspect. The commercials of NEH will be interesting, assuming they are carved out and disclosed specifically. I don't think that is necessarily required though - I suspect its more likely the accounts will show the totality of commercial income and expenditure, rather than breaking it down to NEH.
