  1. I mentioned earlier in the thread at surprise to Barrie's omission at the same time at Tierney's inclusion. Strange, but it's Scotland remember and my previous praise of Strachan has diminished full fold. How he could ignore McKay is a disgrace IMO.
  2. He's got caps at U18 and U19 but that's not my point. Wallace bombs forward and isn't really a defender?
  3. Sportscene (aaargh!) in fairness brought up the 'Wallace' omission from the squad by focusing on Morton's goal yesterday. He was up the park when the space the Morton guy had was immense. I can see why Lee isn't in there...Strachan doesn't have the players to play the same system as MW.
  4. The plaudits have stopped suddenly mate...they are history now. Interesting Sportscene tonight...LCF 5.00 mins highlights...PT v Filth 4.15 highlights....Gers game 5.00. Edit: Sheep got 4.00
  5. It's quite incredible to think we are just 7 victories away from a 'treble' this season.
  6. The good thing about all of this is...the publicity about us needing new players for next season can only drive our current squad to new levels in the need to be part of it, all under the watchful eye of the Magic Hat.
  7. At least Arsenal don't have to spend another 7 days moping to get that defeat out of their system, they play again on Wednesday.
  8. Ali Crawford - July 2013: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/ali-crawford-reckons-astro-pitch-2402744#MIHVogvyrk7quOWu.97
  9. If we bring in six new quality signings...by my reckoning they'll need 10 apiece.
  10. The squad may have to draw straws to decide this year I think
  11. During the 90's I managed to secure 2 tickets for a game from a Shettleston pub (The Shieling) which included mini bus to Ibrox. At full-time we made our way to where the bus was parked only to find it was not there and neither were the punters! I went back next day to the pub to enquire what had happened and was told they always leave 10 mins before the final whistle if the game is won so to miss the traffic. They failed to let us know that though
  12. Dumbarton had Mark Docherty sent off for hand ball in the penalty box after 63 minutes with the score level at 0-0, John Baird converted the award to put Falkirk into the lead. 3 minutes into injury time Dumbarton were awarded a pen of their own - Garry Fleming put it away 1-1. Final score.
  13. Hartson has never got over failing a medical at Rangers 15 years ago - he's a tortured soul.
  14. Ah..thanks, just watched there. Warbs said a couple of players were suffering from it, that explains O'Hallorans performance then (I hope)
  15. Forrester didn't come on the 2nd half, saw him limping, anyone know if the injury is a bad one?
  16. Three cracking goals tonight, difficult to pick the best one.
  17. I know it and he knew it when he signed...after his last game I expected him to produce the electric stuff ghosting past players as if they weren't there....but? So disappointing and he looked far from the player tonight.
  18. Only complaint from me was O'Halloran's performance...I was really looking forward to watching him tonight...sure players are due an off day, but that was very disappointing so early in his career with us. You get players like that - blow hot and cold - Temps is an example, hope this is just a blip with him and not a glimpse into the future. Rant over.
  19. I always stay to the final whistle to applaud the players off the park even in defeat. Guys leaving before the game is over has always made me wonder why? It's been happening since ever I can remember, still bugs me a little I'll admit.
  20. Is that you at 0:18 Pete?
  21. This is sad news RIP. Billy Ritchie was a wee bit before my time (just!) many still spoke of him when I was growing up.
  22. England maybe, but Scotland has no chance of getting him.
  23. An early goal last Saturday put us on the right road - a late 1st half goal tonight did likewise. We only need to score nowadays and the opposition sh*te it
  24. If Law and Shiels as figures are helping to progress the young 'uns this season then that explains why they are still here. If Warburton releases them at the end of the season I hope it's because he doesn't need them any more.
  25. The Filths last 8 games.... Ross Co Hamp. 1-3 Sheep Away 1-2 E. Kilbride Neut. 2-0 Ross Co. Pigg. 2-0 I.C.T. Pigg. 3-0 Accies Away 1-1 Dundee Pigg. 0-0 Morton Pigg. 3-0 Not much competition in there...P8 W4 L2 D2...1 win away from the piggery against E.K. nothing to shout about.
