  1. Good! A walk in the park it is then....I'm off to the prediction thread now before I put the scarf on.
  2. Foderingham gathers the ball and throws it out left to McKay, with quick feet he plays a one-two with Wallace who finds Halliday with a wonderful pass, Halliday slips Judge in...'he must score' NOPE! Why? Because he doesn't want to play for Rangers! Why? Because he's a bigot.
  3. Tavernier passes to Mller, Miller to Holt,....Holt sidesteps Brown and slips Judge in.. 'he must score' - no sorry...Judge won't score - he said he won't play for us.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_UNyl7YkY4
  5. It's a downright disgrace he wasn't selected for his country and good on him to respectfully accept it. I've watched Scotland since I was a kid and followed them down to Wembley many times, but I didn't even watch that friendly last night. Strachan is an arse and a boring one at that.
  6. Relegation ffs? Try survive from the lowest tier Thompson and see how you get on!
  7. It was still 'all about the Rangers' as early as 13 years after their arrival... GLASGOW'S CENTRE FORWARD...
  8. These stories by the media of unknowns not wanting to play for Rangers are ridiculous. Why not make the story real by qualifying their stupid comments instead of the continuing tarnishing name of our club? If the guy doesn't want to play for Rangers then the important question is - what's his f*ckin reason?
  9. Scum today have the power to change things on tap. Their tortured souls need not worry like they did 60 years ago, Liewell is there as a 'sure thing' for everything C*ltic. The two games they wanted scrapped were League Cup sectional games, the authorities told them to shut up. Timmy won the first game 3-1 at the piggery Rangers got revenge at Ibrox in front of what would be the biggest crowd in Britain that season - 105,000. Rangers progressed from the section to go on and win the cup against Raith Rovers 2-0 at Hampden. Rangers then went on to win the league by a single point on 2nd place Dundee a week after they defeated Clyde 4-1 in the Scottish Cup Final to complete a first ever treble. The filth finished sixth in the league, an improvement it must be said on their 12th place finish the season before.
  10. Today's 'offended' society nurtured for decades even for more than 100 years maybe. Big Bad Proddy Rangers vs Nice Catholic team called C*ltic. We are really up against the world never mind Scotland in this, our name has been besmirched because of our history of not signing Catholics. Rangers fans nowadays couldn't care less about that now, but are very concerned about the ongoing agenda the Catholics have against us Big Bad Proddy's. My way of dealing with the onslaught? Fuck you! We Shall Not Be Moved...WATP!
  11. That wiki page on the ship is interesting...though not as much as the outgoing ships fate... From Copland Road. Org...believe at your peril
  12. Yeah it isn't 1930 as you say BEARGER looking at the strips, I lifted that info from CRO.... It's a cow when you use what you think is a pretty reliable source then find it's not as it seems. I should have noticed myself the kits were no-way 1930's. Question is, what picture is that about then?
  13. I had never heard of this story...stumbled across it today contained in an AUSTRALIAN newspaper archive! Firstly, we all know this side was famous for winning 'the World's Greatest Clean Sweep' of League, Scottish Cup, the Glasgow Cup and the Glasgow Merchants' Charity Cup during season '29-30. The Charity Cup Final against Celtic which would clinch the clean sweep finished all square and because Rangers were soon to leave for a four week North American tour, a replay was out of the question, so the game was decided on the toss of a coin... The Celtic captain chose Tails, the Kings Head faced the heavens, and the 'Grand Slam' was won. 'Heads We Win!' – The moment the Grand Slam was completed. To the St. Enoch Hotel for a quick change into attire befitting of a travelling Rangers squad under Bill Struth, and then carriages to Greenock to embark on their Transatlantic trip. Five-hundred people congregated at the St. Enoch Hotel to wish the Rangers well on their travels. At Greenock, thousands of loyal Rangers fans ecstatic at the 'Clean Sweep' sang 'Follow Follow' as the ship set sail, the Rangers players hanging over the top deck taking up the chorus with the fans. 16 players made the epic trip, accompanied by Director Ex Baillie Duncan Graham, Bill Struth and the trainer James Kerr. Alex “Sandy” Archibald; G. Brown; John Buchanan; Tommy Craig; Jimmy Fleming; Dougie Gray; Tommy Hamilton; J. Marshall, Robert McDonald, Bob McPhail, Davie Meiklejohn, Alan Morton, Tommy Muirhead, W.G. Nicholson, Jimmy Simpson and J. Smith were the players who set off for the 8 day sail. Above: Team photo aboard the Andania. The tour was a fantastic success, winning ALL of the 14 games played, scoring 68 goals. The tenth game on June 11th was won 8-1 against Calgary United of Canada, their next match was in the USA against Chicago Sparta on June 15th...it was during this train journey where everyone on board had a narrow escape. The aforementioned archived report of that journey... The Rangers of 1929/30: Dominant in Scotland, unbeaten on foreign shores. As I say, I had never heard about this part of Rangers history before. Does anyone on here remember hearing or reading about this event?
  14. The likes of Holt, Halliday, Miller, McKay and Wallace relishing this moment in time is understandable, throw in Foderingham, O'Halloran, Tavernier,Waghorn and Forrester into the mix and you have the thesis of a side moving ever so upwards and onwards under W&W. We have some very good young players ready to step up too, notably Ryan Hardie who looks a very special player who has a knack at such a young age for where the goals are.
  15. Who would like in the 12 team league next season alongside Rangers calscot? There's a pick from Dundee Utd, Falkirk, Kilmarnock, Hamilton, Hibernian and Raith Rovers...
  16. Just another of the many millions who take part in the chase...something that we as Rangers welcome of course
  17. Raith Rovers the dark horses eh? Win the Play-offs and join Rangers next season at the expense of Dundee Utd and another, take your pick! Seriously though, if Hibs can somehow get up there with us it would be better for the game. We need the big clubs to survive in Scottish football, it's always been that way.
  18. It works both ways with MW it seems, look at Kenny Miller for example getting an extension at 36...? I never doubted KM's ability, even under McCoist I never doubted him. He's Ally's greatest signing as a manager.
  19. Jings! Mother-in-laws eh? I missed the Killie game because mine who has no interest in football at all turned 90 that day!!! Hope her 100th doesn't fall on 60 and counting
  20. As yet un-sourced rumours surfacing today have claimed that Hibs’ star forward Jason Cummings desires to make the switch from Easter Road to Ibrox this summer. The 20-year old attacker has been long-linked with a move to Rangers, despite some very public ‘banter’ at the expense of the Govan giants such as claiming they were ‘rattled’ following the loss at Easter Road earlier in the season: “It’s only five points, it’s nothing, you can claw that back in a couple of weeks and hopefully that rattles them a wee bit. Our confidence is through the roof now. I can’t see us getting beaten any time soon and their heads are going to be down.” It did not quite pan out that way, but nevertheless Cummings has proven his talent over the past two seasons under Stubbs’ guidance and while Rangers are hardly lacking in attacking quality, they will always be linked to the best players available with an assault on the upper tier on the horizon, and the suggestions are that Cummings would prefer Premiership Rangers to Championship Hibernian. In all fairness, name someone who would not. However, whether he is a player manager Mark Warburton would be interesting in securing is a completely different matter though. http://www.ibroxnoise.co.uk/2016/03/rumour-mill-hibs-star-wants-switch-to.html? I thought he looked a very good striker earlier in the season, but not so sure now. Would you like to see MW go for his signature...or is there a better target out there within reason?
  21. I don't personally feel any pain from this defeat, sure if we were struggling and NEEDED to win this game I would feel different obviously. To me this is part of the learning process for the whole club, the league is won end of! Defeats will always happen to any side running away with a title. We have bigger fish to fry starting next month and beyond, yesterday's loss can only be regarded as a blip.
  22. Another 1-0 win and 3 points in the bag for them today. Will the monopoly of the cash rich BPL teams be broken do you think? Still a lot of football to be played but the spirit of the Leicester boys appears to be unbreakable. Who can believe 'the best league in the world' would see Claudio Ranieri leading a club like them 8 points clear in top spot at this stage never mind mid-table survival? With three of their next four at home (struggling Sunderland is the away game) they could just have the opportunity to make dreams come true for their loyal fans. Go on City!
