Rangers 2 - 2 Celtic (Rangers win 5-4 after penalties)
Bearman replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The ref from his angle made a mistake on who's throw-in it was leading up to McKay's goal, an easy honest mistake when you look at his position behind the incident, the linesman should have seen it though but generally they look to the ref and take a back seat. Allowing Griffiths to take his pot shot from 30 yards after coming close from 36 is unforgivable for me. THAT is blatant cheating from an official. -

Griffiths had a free kick early in the second half from 36 yards and Wes punched it away, near the end Griffiths was given another chance from the same distance but the ref let him take it 6 yards closer...Wes finger tipped it onto the bar. The ref was dire. Could have cost us so much more than a Cup final. -

Lot's of things to pour over in that page. Firstly...the transfer 'kitty' is just a stupid figure pulled out from nowhere, United's grave was set months ago, Hibs, regardless of their lack of class WILL give us a guard of honour, Aguero should be playing for us and McStay misses vital spot-kicks. 5 down in the crossword is difficult. -
Bloody hell!

I wanted to put Kai's winner in '66 but the site doesn't allow more than three...enjoy. More recently... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0xmykBzEbc Each one a GEM!

Looking back on the season and comparing him to others in the squad he hasn't set my expectations on fire one bit. When he stepped up next to take that pen my hopes dropped tbh...he put my worries to bed with an excellent cool finish, but it doesn't really change much about what I really think of him. He's only 19 I accept, but I've seen better 19 year old's wearing the shirt in my time. If he does come back next season he'll have my backing of course, he needs to improve much more though before I say he's a special talent.

The link der Berliner put up in post #383 is a cracking link (thanks dB). Are the commentators on Sky getting Wes' name wrong? I'm certain they are calling him Fotheringham...fools if they are! -
For a winger he had a smashing goalscoring record...an average of 1 in every 3 games for Rangers. No bad!

Hibs require 2 wins from their last 4 games to avoid being caught by Raith Rovers, we should be up for this and make sure they don't get anything at all from us.

Thanks for this link buster...I'm not sure how all this co-ef thing really works. I note the unseeded teams had 3,275 (points?) or under, Rangers are on 4,960 way above teams like Linfield St Patricks and Shamrock Rovers who were all seeded last year. As I say though, I haven't a clue how points are allocated. Here's a link to all the clubs and the co-ef of each. (Rangers 269th). http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/ Jeez! We still have to win the Scottish Cup, taking things for granted now.

There was also a moment where he backed out of a 50-50, his PK was sublime though. -

Griffiths nearly knocked us out man? And as I tried to point out it should never have been allowed? The distance. -

Good on the Celtic man taking his dose...I love that in football, maybe the real bigots can be discarded from our game instead of focusing on Rangers all the time. Lets start with the catholics.... -

Hey...just to get one thing straight here....our game has plummeted since Rangers were thrown out because of one thing only lads. Bigotry. Remember this....Rangers FC were founded for sporting reasons only...nothing else! -

The fixtures are all set out well down in England with the Euros in mind, look how they have planned ahead...then look at the state of how our fixtures are placed even without Scotland playing in the Euro Cup??? If the filth and Scotland had reached a final all would be hunky dory...catholics and sport don't mix I feel. -

There's a ridiculous 3 week gap from our last game to the Cup Final...do you think we can set up a couple of 'friendly's' before the big day? Maybe Chelsea or Arsenal cos their season finished before Xmas? -

The highlights shown were more about their misses more so than our passing and possession, let them show the bad if they want it's frustrating though. Small point...if you want look at the foul Halliday made near the end where Griffiths popped one off the bar via Wes' fingertips. The foul was 35 yards out, the ref was right on it with a yellow shown to Andy then let them take the kick from 30 yards (a more likelihood of scoring from that distance unless you are Charlie Adam) That failure from the ref could have cost us a final place and more importantly a possible run in Europe next year. Being pickety I know but, the ref gave Griffiths the chance to score direct from the kick as opposed to having to lump the ball in from 35 yards. -
2008 revisited is my guess, but it's not us it's Hibs so I'm not sure how the authorities will deal with it. Personally if it was up to me I'd move the play-off final to the following week if Falkirk fail to reach it.

It's terrible organisation up here really. In England they have the Championship play-off final a full week after their national cup final has been decided, more likely because of the possibility one of those sides could have realistically qualified for both. In Scotland those in charge, only see one picture.
