[FT] Motherwell 1 - 2 Rangers (Dorrans 4, 59pen)

It's unbelievable how much stick Kenny gets on here...I knew right away he'd get a hammering because of the chance he blasted over the bar. It was very unlike him he usually sticks them away from that distance. Most folk in the GPL pick him to score the first goal, you know why that is? Why bring him on when teams are tiring when at the age of 38 he is as fit as a 21 year old? -

Thought the kit was a belter then read later it was a one off for their match v Sevilla to celebrate 125 years at Goodison Park. Very smart.

Dorrans won us the 3 points Fod saved us from losing 2 of them. Morelos should start ahead of Herrera on Wednesday as he looks a far better front man. Miller had a rare off day however his assist and work rate gives him pass marks. Windass blew hot then cold. In the end we got what we came for. -

Should be in front, but that's football. Windass is having a blinder. -
Probably because Southend kept Kiernan on the bench...

Fod: Bruno Alves has made a huge impact here already http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/837457/Rangers-Wes-Foderingham-Bruno-Alves-Pedro-Caixinha-Scottish-Premier-League WES FODERINGHAM claims Bruno Alves has transformed Rangers from a soft touch to a well-oiled defensive unit as they go under the spotlight at Fir Park today. The Light Blues only managed to keep clean sheets in 11 of their 38 league games last season and conceded 44 goals in the other 27 matches. However, the presence of Euro 2016 winner Alves, coupled with a new 4-4-2 system, has had a major effect on the defence in particular and the team as a whole. Foderingham says the Portuguese defender calms everyone around him as he leads by example. The Ibrox keeper said: “Bruno’s a fantastic player and as a whole defensive unit we’ve come on stronger this year. Hopefully we can take that into the league campaign. “He’s got an enviable career. He’s done it all, and he’s off the back of winning the Euros. There’s no doubt he’s a fantastic player. “He’s a lot more cool and calm than I thought he’d be, you can see that from his performances. The boys pick up and feed off that. “Fabio Cardoso is obviously younger and he’ll learn a lot from Bruno. I’m sure he’s thrilled to be playing alongside him. “He’s a dominant force in the air and on the deck he’s really good as well. He can see a pass and he’s a calm presence on the ball. “I’m sure he can handle himself and pick his moments.” -

https://rangers.co.uk/news/club/utilita-re-energises-rangers/ UTILITA – Britain’s fastest growing independent energy supplier – is delighted to announce it will once again be the Official Energy Partner of Rangers Football Club for the 2017/18 season. Utilita has also extended their presence at the club as The Light Blues’ premier back-of-shirt sponsor. The Utilita logo will appear on the back of the first team home and away kits – the first partner to do this in the club’s history. After a successful 2016/17 partnership, Utilita is delighted to be working with the Glasgow side again this season and continuing its positive presence in the city. Earlier this year, Utilita was delighted to announce the opening of new offices in the centre of Glasgow as part of an ambitious growth plan which saw 200 new jobs created. The supplier also celebrated its 500,000th customer in April – up from 200,000 as recently as July 2015 – and this month reached a million supply points across the UK. It has also seen turnover jump more than 50 per cent to £411m while staff numbers have more than trebled in a year – from around 400 to nearly 1,500. Jem Maidment, Head of Marketing & Communications at Utilita, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Rangers for a second season, a partnership that will see Utilita further engage with fans, with ticket giveaways, half-time challenge fun and match-day activities for all the family including the Utilita Street Football Zone. “We’re also very excited to be the first ever Rangers back-of-shirt sponsor – as massive fans of Scottish football, we’re looking forward to an exciting season ahead with a renewed presence at the club.” Scott Steedman, Head of Commercial at Rangers FC, added: “We are pleased to confirm Utilita will be continuing as the club’s official energy partner, and delighted to have such a well-established brand in Scottish football come on board as the club’s first back-of-shirt sponsor. “Utilita has been a fantastic partner to work with, and we look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the company this season and beyond.” Gers fans who switch to Utilita will receive an exclusive, limited edition Rangers in-home display cover. Customers will also receive a free smart meter, excellent customer service and a host of other benefits including exclusive access to festival and music tickets through its partnership with the world’s leading entertainment promoter, Live Nation. The Utilita branded shirts will make their first display when Rangers play Motherwell away on Sunday 6 August 2017.

First three guys on the gantry wearing their army uniform, with a smattering of others dotted within the crowd.

I always go into the season believing Rangers will win the title, doesn't always work out that way obviously. So I'm not thinking of anything else other than winning the league, maybe after a few games I'll think differently, as things stand right now it's Rangers for 55 this season. Expect to come on at Xmas time still having that belief.

UEFA have a - 'it's ma baw' attitude to everything. As long as the big money clubs keep going (keep making money) it will never change. -
First question in.... "You finished 39 points behind C*****, is there any danger of repeating that this season?" Deary me! Pedro's initial reaction...
