  1. Police have appealed for images and video footage of the pitch invasion that marred Hibernian's long-awaited Scottish Cup success at Hampden Park on Saturday. This b@stard shouldn't be too difficult to find...
  2. There is a defo in the hatred...but you're getting mixed up in all the independence stuff which you apparently shift aside as Scots are fools and England are England. You being Scottish must have at some point considered having your arse taken for a ride and saying no more my lord.
  3. Hahahaa...as long as she fits your format.
  4. Rangers fans celebrating the European victory was a benchmark regarding fans running on to the park to celebrate such occasion...we got banned for two years reduced to one year after appeal. Hobo fans attacking the oppositions players is completely different if you take the sensible view.
  5. Rab ffs! Whatever system we play means nowt to me as a viewer. Miller was our truly best player today, like all season and all that...if you want to blinker yourself in that then kuodos.
  6. Halliday was absent, Miller certainly showed why MW picks him, Fod if we are honest with ourselves is not of the ability of Rangers keepers, Zelalem is not really a player imo, Waggy was unfit and shouldn't have played but our resources are shot. The combination of Wallace and McKay never hit the mark from k.o. Kiernan and to a lesser extent Wilson are no defenders for Rangers. Big work to sort as soon as at Ibrox.
  7. I'm more perturbed about Big Bad Rangers joining the 'top table' this 'top table' wank themselves over 10 - in - a - row. The media are in cohesion over this 10 - in - a row wank. Rangers will drown those wankers by winning 55 in a short time. Wank on that.
  8. Scotland under Westminster has a meaning...stay where we want you. SNP have a no different take on it...you Unionist will feel our wrath. We Scots are f*cked no matter how anyone outside Scotland try to butter it up.
  9. I'm gutted at our defeat but this post sums up my feeling in us moving forward. We need to do something about the hatred of Protestant Rangers fans.
  10. Feel wide awake atm thinking about the game...need to get some sleep for what will be a great day for bears all over the globe. See y'all at Hampden 2moro lads, enjoy the occasion and don't greet ya big sissy when we lift the Cup.
  11. More on the trophy... The Scottish Cup is the oldest national trophy and also the oldest association football trophy in the world. It was made by silversmith George Edward & Sons in Glasgow and has been presented to the winners of the tournament since 1874. The solid silver trophy is 50 cm in height and weighs 2.25 kg. The original trophy is displayed at the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park. It is removed once each year to be cleaned and presented to the tournament winners. After the presentation ceremony, the trophy is returned to the museum. A replica of the original trophy is given to the tournament winners after the ceremony and is also used for promotional purposes.
  12. Here's something the younger 'Gersnetters might not know...It was only until I reached my late 20's before I learned this. Rangers name isn't actually inscribed on the cup itself, due to running out of space on it, so they had to produce for the trophy a magnificent plinth to accommodate future winners. Rangers FC are well on that.
  13. Where are they now? Rangers last visit to Hampden for a Scottish Cup final took place 7 years ago which ended with the 'Gers lifting the trophy after defeating Falkirk, seems a distant memory now and certainly at the time no-one could ever have forecast the events that were to follow just 3 years later. 16 players were in the squad for that particular match in 2009, so let's have a look at what they are all doing today. GK Neil Alexander: Released 4 days ago by Hearts despite spending the season as first choice. RB Steven Whittaker: Plays for Norwich City relegated from the EPL this season. CB David Weir (Captain): Assistant manager of Rangers FC. CB Madjid Bougherra: Plays for Al-Fujairah in the UAE Arabian Gulf League. LB Sasa Papac: In 2012, Papac announced his retirement from professional football for health reasons, after failing to recover properly from a groin injury. RM Steven Davis: Part of Southampton's success in reaching their target of European football for season 2016-17. CM Barry Ferguson: Currently in management with Clyde FC. since June 2014. CM Lee McCulloch: Player/Coach at Kilmarnock FC, appointed Kilmarnock manager on an interim basis after Gary Locke resigned on 30 January 2016, returned to his coaching duties after Lee Clark was appointed on a permanent basis in February 2016. LM Kyle Lafferty: Current club Norwich City, spending his time on loan to other clubs. His 7 goals as top scorer for Northern Ireland helped his country qualify as group winners for Euro 16. ST Kris Boyd: Plays for Kilmarnock, hoping to survive a play-off match on Monday to keep his side in the Premiership. ST Kenny Miller: Expected to start in the 2016 Final vs Hibs. Subs used: ST Nacho Novo: Scored the only goal of the game with his first touch after replacing Boyd at the interval. Last played for Carolina Railhawks, currently a Free Agent. MD Steven Naismith: Replaced Kenny Miller with 5 minutes remaining. Swapped Everton for Norwich in January 2016 in a £8M deal. DF Christian Dailly: Came on for Kyle Lafferty after 88 minutes. He later played for Charlton Ath, Portsmouth and Southend Utd before retiring in 2012 to concentrate on studying for a sports science degree and working for his coaching badges. Unused subs: GK Allan McGregor: Plays for Hull City. On 17 May 2014, he started in the FA Cup Final against Arsenal, in which his side lost 3–2. DF Danny Wilson: Along with Kenny Miller, most likely to start the match.
  14. Will put bums on seats for the CLQ's, might even free up the area they closed down due to lack of interest these past years. If he can get through the qualifiers even with the aid of a dodgy rule book then they'll be fighting each other for our visit too.
  15. Only were 3 boxes to tick really...McLaughlin seemed happy enough mind you...the sellik guy high up (not dermott) who he interviewed outside where the old recently demolished listed school building stood was hesitant and stuttery when the scrote drooled his questions at him - he genuinely looked nervous...maybe it was the cameras.
  16. According to McLaughlin on the tv sportnews there, he 'ticks all the right boxes' saying Rodgers has supported them all his life? No mention that he has won absolutely zilch in his 6 year managerial career! Also no mention at all of a certain 'Show-piece game' tomorrow ??
  17. Strange that the Barton deal hasn't been confirmed yet...did say 'by the end of the week' 2 maybe 3 things to consider... 1. Rangers lose the SCF and to soften the blow Barton signs up on Monday. 2. Rangers win the cup, Barton signs up on Monday (Only because we've qualified for ELQ's) ...and the dreaded 3rd scenario...we lose and Barton says he's staying with Burnley. Hopefully he announces he joined us just before k.o.
  18. Wiki.... He's in for a culture shock then once he finds his feet in that cesspit.
  19. Ha...wee Rossiter scoring the winner in his OF debut match.
  20. Weather report - dry during game http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648579?day=1
  21. They are leaving it until tomorrow to introduce him to the hordes.
  22. Wallace: Scottish Cup is chance to win first 'Rangers-type' trophy Lee Wallace believes Saturday's Scottish Cup final is an opportunity to win the first "Rangers-type" trophy during his time as the club's captain. Mark Warburton's side face Hibernian at Hampden Park this weekend looking to complete a treble of sorts after winning the Scottish Championship and the Petrofac Training Cup. Wallace believes his side have performed above expectations in the Scottish Cup, adding that victory on Saturday would make a statement about where the club is heading. "I don't think many outsiders would have expected us to go on and win the Scottish Cup," he said. "I think the Petrofac goes without saying, we were of course expected to win that, we were expected to win the Championship and we've managed to do that in a certain way, an eye-catching way. "We've been dominant on that front so of course it would be great for all involved if we could go and do that on May 21st and make it our own version of a treble. "Finally we've got the opportunity, I've got the opportunity, with a unique group of players at a unique club to hopefully bring our first Rangers-type silverware back. "Of course when we've went up we've won the leagues that we've been expected to do and it's a good chance for a lot of us to take a top level recognition and what could come if we get the right result on Saturday." http://stv.tv/sport/football/1354778-wallace-scottish-cup-is-chance-to-win-first-rangers-type-trophy/?
  23. Didn't want to start another thread on this so will stick it in here... BBC 1:00pm National news had a wee featured piece towards the end of the program on the Scottish Cup Final - McLaughlin doing the reporting from Edinburgh...it was all about the Hibeez, interviews with an ex-player and some fans on how they can bury their dismal record in the competition (lost last 10 finals). Rangers were mentioned once - to let folk know who Hibs were playing.
  24. Definitely hard to call, but I'm confident. PS: The 12 games played over the last two seasons against them - 6 wins each, Rangers 20 goals, Hibs 19.
