Definitely...the signings we are making are very encouraging...some might not be happy with them but it's where we are right now, in fact it's more than I expected and I'm liking what's going on.
-
One out one in...no messing about from our management team.

Since I'm rubbish at this, and have no hope of finishing in the top 5, I've decided to bring in tactics to my predictions and don the Magic Hat... I've taking note of ALL my rival's predictions...I will then take the most popular one's selected and use them to push myself up the table.

Strachan has grown the dreaded beard again for interviews to make himself interesting again! This caused a stir before...so why not do it again during EURO 16 when his team are not even there.

Rangers board to discuss safe standing area at Ibrox with fans
Bearman replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Talking of redevelopment of Ibrox Stadium and the surrounding area...London Rd is shut off to traffic due to more 'pimping' of ra sellik park. A statue of some Pope wouldn't surprise mind you. -
I've watched Iceland's every game only because I selected a couple of their players in the euro fantasy game (desperately makes it more of an interest for me if I'm honest) Iceland vs England is gonna be some game. England will dominate the game with 60 odd possession and Iceland will soak it up. Iceland are a very capable defensive side who are also clever at breaking and delivering a sucker punch. Not a side easy on the eye but annoyingly successful with their boring set-up. This type of tactic could be victorious once again against England. Can you imagine the 'uproar' and fall-out that Iceland knocking out England could bring with all the panel on our national TV stations? C'mon Iceland! Haha!

I used to think Scotland failed in the World Cup and the Euro's because of 'bad luck' ! Glorious failure was a common saying when we failed to make the knock-out stages back in the day. We don't even qualify for the big competitions anymore and Strachan is trying to tell us all with long tooth that Scotland are better than some of the teams who are actually taking part? If we don't get rid of the 'Plastic Paddy minded' folk running our game - Strachan with him talking up Rod Stewart for example then the horse has well an truly bolted.

Gordon Strachan believes his Scotland squad are better than some of the teams at Euro 2016???? "We were a unit that Poland couldn't beat," said the coach, reflecting on Scotland's failure to qualify for the finals in France. "We were a unit that the Republic of Ireland couldn't beat, We beat Croatia twice over the last couple of years." Scotland finished fourth behind Germany, Poland and the Irish in their qualifying group. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36597199

Rangers board to discuss safe standing area at Ibrox with fans
Bearman replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Someone once posted that re-building the red brick wall that used to exist at both ends of the Main Stand should be considered to create these fanzones. Should never have demolished them in the first place. -
For a City business man who was successful outside football, Warbs has a helluva good eye for good football players with ability and vision too. Winning 55 looks very possible with this manager and losing him to a big English club will follow soon after I hate to say.
-
Would be great if Niko Kranjcar joined the Bears...any updates?

On KDS they are using this development to determine whether Rangers are indeed a new club, can you believe it? They are making this as a vehicle to shift to their main delusional 'Rangers are a new club'? They will scrape barrels until their fingers are worn down to the knuckles trying to determine if we are Rangers or Rangers instead of concentrating on stopping Rangers from reaching 55 next year. Resolution 12 is dead...so that means Rangers are 'deid' Rangers FC must have the most deluded and obsessed opposition fans in the world. Haha bring it on, silly fuckers...we are coming to our rightful place at the top of Scottish football, and they are shitting themselves about that!

Despite all the change that's been going on since the crooks and the rapists had their day...Lee Wallace has shone like a beacon and has been dignified and tremendously controlled during all of it. The man also had to deal with the loss of a dear friend amidst all of this. Lee Wallace has developed into not only a player for Glasgow Rangers but a respected articulate person who deserves ultimate praise after what he has gone through in his life over the past years. We are very privileged and lucky to have such a man of his ilk. Thank you Lee Wallace, we salute you.

Hundreds of Prso and Weiss types out there as opposed to Ledley and Lafferty types.
-
...and then again you expect the Ulstermen and the Welsh to get humped out next time along with the English.
-
Listening to/Reading Warbs is so enlightening today. He's got 55 on his mind...

Totally agree with this SBS, I'm happy with what we are signing so far but I'd rather we bring in Eastern Europeans/Continentals - When I suggested this a couple of months ago on here, replies were of the gist I must be racist! I wasn't conscientiously being racist just that I think players outwith Britain are technically better footballers than what we produce in the UK.

Rangers boss Warburton brands summer speculation over his Ibrox future "bizarre" http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/14571348.Rangers_boss_Warburton_brands_summer_speculation_over_his_Ibrox_future__quot_bizarre_quot_/? MARK Warburton, the Rangers manager, last night dismissed speculation about his future at the Ibrox club and confirmed talks about a new contract were set to resume. Rumours that Warburton was set to leave, and had even departed, the Glasgow club have been rife this summer after it was alleged negotiations over an improved deal had broken down. However, speaking at a 2016/17 league season preview event organised by the SPFL and its title sponsors Ladbrokes at The Kelpies in Falkirk, the Englishman described the conjecture as “bizarre”. “I can’t control speculation,” he said. “I can’t control the rumour-mongers. I do think it’s inappropriate that someone can’t have 10 days away. I had to spend time with the family. “The owner has been busy with a number of things to do with the club, doing great work, him and the board. We opened discussions and I’m sure they’ll continue, but there’s nothing more mysterious than people being busy or having a summer break.” Warburton added: “I read contract talks have doubled my money. I read contract talks have broken down. I read contract talks were deep in discussion. Everyone was aware of things apart from me, and that’s the truth of it. “You see these stories and they are quite bizarre. If the fans want to believe that I can’t control it. But if they hear it from my lips or David Weir’s, or the owner’s or the board, that’s different. But it’s all rumour-mongering. “I had a holiday and if I’d taken any more phone calls on holiday I would have definitely been divorced. If you have domestic problems, this job becomes a nightmare so you have to allocate time to the family and then carry on from there.” Asked if contract talks would continue, Warburton said: “I’m sure. But we are recruiting players, we are going away on Monday for a trip we have to get right. Then we have a bizarre League Cup programme. We play four games in nine days. “We have a lot to prepare for. Players coming back, staff coming back, staff reviews, welcoming new players, players getting apartments. There is so much to do at this time of year.” Warburton met up with Brendan Rodgers, who he worked alongside at Watford, for the first time since the Irishman was appointed Celtic manager yesterday and expressed confidence their friendship would survive the forthcoming campaign. “I know Brendan and we get on very well,” he said. "I called him up when he got the job and I wished him well and he wished me well. I am sure we will share a glass of wine at some stage. “We are good friends, but whatever happens, someone has to win and someone has to lose cups and leagues. Whatever happens, we’ll still be friends at the end of this process.” Warburton was speaking publicly for the first time since the Scottish Cup final at Hampden – when several Rangers players were attacked by Hibs supporters as they made their way off the field at the end of the game. He praised how the Ibrox club handled the pitch invasion at the end of a game his side lost 3-2. “There’s police cases going on so I can’t really comment, but I was very pleased with the way the club looked after the staff,” he said. “I thought Rangers acted tremendously well, very professionally.” Meanwhile, Warburton refused to be comment on Rangers’ interest in Nico Kranjcar, the former Croatia midfielder who has been offered a two year deal and is set to undergo a medical in Glasgow today according to his lawyer. “He (Kranjcar) is one of a number of players we have been linked with,” he said. “We are making progress on a number of fronts. I’m not talking about individual players. We have to do our business and when it’s the right time, we can announce it.” Warburton confessed that he didn’t think Rangers would be able to sign Joey Barton, the former Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder, and speculated the Ibrox club’s victory over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final had helped to lure to Glasgow. Asked if he thought the Championship winners had a chance of landing Barton, he replied: “Honestly? No. What persuaded him to come? Possibly his relationship with Frank (head of recruitment McParland) and conversations myself and David Weir had with him. “But if there is one factor that weighed in our favour, it was the semi-final. Everyone I know in football watched it. They saw the passion of the fans, a good quality game, the coverage, everything. That, for me, was the deciding factor that made people decide they want to be part of that.” Warburton admitted Cammy Bell, the former Kilamrnock goalkeeper who is in talks with Aberdeen about a move to Pittodrie, would be leaving Ibrox and he was hoping to bring in a replacement.

Ouch! Wonder who'll BBC Scotland Sportscene bring in as a replacement?
-
I was going to say this as well...he had to sit out a lot because of our unexpected cup run. Glad he's here for next season.
-
If it was good up tempo Anthems then fine...but they are all so so boring.
-
Sorry, but that is a load of pish! It's total nonsense really and means something else!

He's on a one year contract...one good season equates to a very good piece of business. Hill might not have the pace to deal with some of the faster forwards but he is someone who can win most aerial headers and battles and can also be a great player to have when it comes to the sheer number of games which will be played in the season. Rangers do not have the same budget as their rivals from the Old Firm, Celtic ,and this is one way that they can bring in some decent players while ensuring they do not have to pay over the top for their services. Hill might not be past his sell-by date and he has even stated that he will be trying to emulate assistant manager David Weir, who also played well into his 30s at the club. With Jordan Rossiter being a young singing at the club, it could be Hill’s experience which proves to be extremely important for Rangers as they look to win the top flight once again.

Going by your record so far...it'll be most likely.
