RANGERS could move for Diego Poyet to replace Joey Barton.

Good player for the short term, a bit like Barton and Senderos but only much better I would suspect, even in 2nd gear. -

Interesting dB... I'm not starting rumours/predictions, but Michael Essien at £680,000 jumps out. -
The saying "if they are good enough they are old enough" (Sir Matt) is one we would all agree to. There are other sayings mostly by folk who probably have never heard of Sir Matt. "He's too old" "He's in his 30's - he's past it" "No re-sale value, don't touch him" Kenny is 37 next month. It wouldn't bother me if we signed another 10 KM's in the January window. ...then again 5 would suffice with the other 5 all being David Weir's. Seriously though...Kenny Miller has been outstanding for us and is fully deserving of all the awards he picks up so late in his career.

I'm not sure about the likes of Ross County having the ability to suss us out and 'press' us as some are saying. Too many Rangers players looked to me as if they were having a bad day, sometimes good players can have an off day with others in the side carrying them, this happens often with any team you can think of. The whole team were rotten, no-one, with the exception of KM (just my take) looked up for the game - and that's a real worry. 10 times out of 10 the team who has everyone on their game destroys the opposition.

Look on the bright side... If Hibs had a good side last season!

We've had to put up with their chants since the meltdown, now ECWC hero Big Peter is fearing it. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/rangers-great-peter-mccloy-fears-celtic-winning-10-in-a-row-1-4276369? Any Bears on the forum feeling the same way? I for one can't see it, football is 'a funny old game' as someone once famously put it - and it always has been. I only accepted recently that 6 is on the cards, but 10? Really? Not for me, I can't see us chasing them for another 5 years, can you? If we can't stop them over the next couple of seasons, we'll never stop them. Is that true? Is money the be all and end all in football? If so then how did Leicester City win the EPL last season? Come to think of it 11 against 11 anything can happen. I don't for one minute think it's possible they'll get 7 never mind 10 only because Rangers can only improve and get stronger, and as one famously pointed out - 'It's a funny old game'. Then again - Greavsie was a tube, wasn't he?

My hatches have been completely 'shut' on many an occasion but still managed to sink me in the end.

I'm drooling in anticipation... 8-0 then 9-0 would make xmas a non event this year!

This is the thing...some were saying at the time of his signing we shouldn't be going anywhere near him because of his previous, myself along with many others disagreed with that opinion using the slogan 'in Warbs we trust'. It's turned out to be a complete disaster - possibly one of the worst signings in our history! Any talk of this man buckling down and making a first team comeback is way off the mark is how I see it now, but of course I've already been proved wrong when it comes to Joey Barton. MW was so let down by the player that there can't possibly be any way back for him! Surely not.

Lazy journalism...! We were sitting 2nd when we played the filth on 10th September...indeed we were top of the league from 13th-27th August. -
Opposition parties united against the Scottish Government, winning by 64 votes to 63. Opposition parties at Holyrood have united in favour of repealing laws aimed at tackling sectarianism in football. The motion lodged by the Scottish Conservatives, which calls for the repeal of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act "as a matter of priority", passed by 64 votes to 63. The act criminalises behaviour and communications related to football matches which are offensive, threatening, or incite religious hatred, including sectarian behaviour. It was passed by the majority SNP government during the last parliament and came into force in 2012 but had little opposition support. While this vote will not be binding, Labour MSP James Kelly has brought forward a members' bill aimed at scrapping the legislation, which has the support of the Tories, the Liberal Democrats and the Greens. http://stv.tv/news/politics/1371805-msps-vote-against-football-act-as-snp-suffers-defeat/

For as long as their 'title' isn't in danger us finishing 2nd is no slap in the face...quite the reverse.

Timmy has won 9 out of 10 so far...that's scintillating form in anybody's book. Then you look at the state of Scottish football and the picture becomes more clearer. Rangers were thrown like Christians to lions, through sheer determination to fight our predicament (all down to the support) we escaped certain oblivion and crawled back in the face of injustice without the help of anybody, we are the hated by every other football fan in Scotland the carry-on with all the previous board stuff added even more barriers to the fight. We are are getting stronger. Where are we now? In bloody good place, that's where! WATP. 3-0 today is not a glorious victory at all, it's just a few steps up and onward with another who knows how many steps to go.

Who Ate All the Pies.....Rangers v Kilmarnock Preview
Bearman replied to cooponthewing's topic in Rangers Chat
We have to beat these sides we really have, 4 points from these 2 games will be unacceptable. The next three after that though are very different, if we get FULL points from them then the game is on, regarding winning 55. -

As Ian said...we have to wait until the shitty 'Sportscene' shows them before anyone else can see it. Used to be many years ago you had a highlights programme on a Saturday night with more on STV's Scotsport on a Sunday afternoon. Used to enjoy as a young teenager going to my pals grannies hoose for some home made soup before settling in front of the telly to watch highlights introduced by Arthur Montford. -

We were really good boabie, MOH was outstanding and I think he has even more to come. Can't get too carried away though, need to wait and see because Killie were awful and hopefully that was because we made them look so. -
