  1. Kenny Miller is the only true goal scorer we have according to Warburton so he can't afford to drop him, but at 37 years of age he can't be expected to be prolific in every game. He never was prolific to start with throughout his career anyway. I'd like for MW to give Dodoo a run up front (other posters have indicated this too) as he looks the type of player who could develop in the role. Garner hasn't 'clicked' if we are brutally honest, Waggy, we already know really isn't the answer and Miller with his old head and experience could teach JD a trick or 2 in his development. Bit of a waste that he sits on the bench watching what we are watching.
  2. I can't help thinking Lukaka at Chelsea right now would be a much better option than Costa. He's just as strong without the dodgy temperament and scores more goals without the better quality around him. Okay I'm no Antonio Conte but I'm better looking than him according to my wife.
  3. Mate...the Ibrox crowd is getting smaller and smaller as each game passes. People invested heavily in Rangers this season expecting big things, ...7 months on and more and more don't bother even attending after coughing up their hard earned cash...the amount of empty seats is a gauge on the product being served up...folk won't buy into it next season like they did this season. I'm sure the board must be very aware of this. If we don't have money now, we'll have much less next season as ST sales will take a big hit. Europe is a must - but it won't sell tickets next season.
  4. Also a deadline of one hour before kick-off for predictions to be in for (before line-ups are announced) as some of us attending the game don't have the luxury of picking the FGS 'after' seeing the team sheet. It's no coincidence that Rousseau has 7 correct FGS's since all his predictions come after he knows who's playing. Would be even more fun for 2017-18.
  5. Rangers 3 - 0 FGS McKay
  6. Man U failing to beat Hull City without their best player (Snodgrass) Man City hitting WHU for four without Aguero. Is this why the PL is the best league in the world? Costa missing that penalty last night maybe (maybe maybe) added to the tension and closeness to the others trying to catch up. Teams running away with the league isn't good for the game...so well done Mignolet for that save.
  7. We all feared Griffiths in our anticipation of going back up around this time one year ago...40 goal Griffiths wasn't even considered for this season and was immediately replaced with someone of real quality. Our forward thinking compared to theirs is "where we are" and somehow from somewhere we need to look at a completely different approach to what we want to achieve again in the game, perhaps Red Bull can dig us out before the years of pain continue. Okay we should make it to the Europa League qualifiers in June, but I can only see total humiliation like all the other Scottish representatives we have witnessed over the years, that's where we are going nowhere fast.
  8. Then we have the "where we are" excuse...tbh I didn't think for one minute we'd suffer heavy defeats like tonight or have such a poor goal difference after 20 odd games of the season and be SO far behind in 2nd place. Neither did Celtic...they have over spent to win the Premiership this season, they paid top dollar to land Brenda, even Scott Brown thought he may as well come out of International retirement after a couple of months into the season.
  9. Did he not help Dave Clark reach No 1 in the Xmas charts? Seriously though...the fans are screaming for a proper goal scorer at the club and it just hasn't happened. More to do with terrible final balls into the box Tav being more guilty than most.
  10. I wish you had MW's phone number dB.
  11. In fairness he inherited SA's team which Warbs immediately scuttled.
  12. It is sh1te though...he got that right!
  13. When does the next transfer window open?
  14. Hearts 0 - 3 Rangers FGS - Hyndman
  15. Ah right. I didn't consider he may have been pre-booked? Bit of a disappointment for the BBC then...were looking forward obviously to McDonald coming on after scoring the winner against Rangers but instead got the guy who got red carded up against 10 man Rangers! They should have pre-booked Miller...haha - because of their stance against Rangers they can't do that! No way should Rangers ever allow McLaughlin back into Ibrox Stadium as a 'reporter', the guy is a bitter hater of all things Rangers, meanwhile the broadcasting station gets McDonald instead of Miller. Cool.
  16. SSN are blowing out their ar5e!!!
  17. If there's a better striker than Kenny Miller out there for what we can afford then Warbs has missed the boat. The way Miller is playing for us right now is probably the best of his career. If he continues this form from now until the end of the season and is part of a Scottish Cup winning team he'll collect the SPOTY award...if he doesn't win the Scottish Cup Scott Brown will get the POTY.
  18. Rangers confident over new contract for Barrie McKay: Mark Warburton thinks deal is close RANGERS boss Mark Warburton was pleasantly surprised there were no last-ditch offers for winger Barrie McKay. Warburton now hopes an agreement can be thrashed out to keep the 22-year-old beyond the 18 months remaining on his contract. While the manager acknowledged Rangers are a selling club, there were no bids for McKay despite rumours of RB Leipzig lining up a £6million swoop. Warburton said: “I wouldn’t have been shocked if someone had come in because he is a talented player. “I am sure every club in the Premier League is saying the same thing. When I look at some of the prices being paid for defenders – £7.5m, £8m, £10m, £15m – at what stage do you sit and think, ‘Is there value elsewhere?’.” Rangers, who visit Hearts on league duty tonight, have opened talks with McKay over an improved deal. Warburton said: “I am sure the discussions will go on between the powers-that-be and the representatives. That should reach a fairly swift conclusion, I’d like to think. “We just had Barrie in the office saying that he has to work even harder and push again. He can go as far in the game as he wants to.” Warburton signed keeper Jak Alnwick from Port Vale as a replacement for Wigan-bound Matt Gilks. He also captured Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral on loan during the window and there has been criticism of his failure to land players on long-term deals. While fans want Rangers to compete with Celtic on the field, there is a huge gulf in finances off the park. Warburton is focused on taking the club back into Europe next season and rebuilding slowly but surely. He hopes everyone at Gers, directors included, remain realistic in their ambitions when it comes to challenging their Old Firm rivals. Warburton added: “We’re in a different pond to them right now and our job is to get into the same pond. “It won’t happen right now, it won’t happen by the end of the season. “Our job is to highlight progress we’ve been making, set targets and achieve them. But the targets have to be realistic. “It’s a club who have been promoted. Yes, we have a fantastic history, but we are where we are and I hope we can communicate that. “The worst thing Davie Weir and I can do is set unrealistic targets. “But getting into Europe is a realistic target.” Rangers head to Tynecastle two months after they were beaten 2-0 there in Robbie Neilson’s last game in charge of the Jambos. But with nine new signings in January and injuries to John Souttar and Callum Paterson, Ian Cathro’s side will bear little resemblance to the one which put Rangers to the sword in December. Warburton said: “My initial glance at their signings is that there’s some good quality but maybe lacking some match fitness. We’ve got guys working to see what we can find out. “It’s about Rangers performing and dealing with what we have to deal with.” http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/761489/Rangers-news-Mark-Warburton-Barrie-McKay Patience is a virtue lads!
  19. At least you got one out of 7 Scott.
  20. Ouch Gribz!!! 0/7!!! Good luck with those 3 mate.
  21. As 26th of Foot pointed out...it's a shocking decision for BBC Scotland to invite McDonald on to their programmes and give him a platform after what he did. BBC Scotland are a disgrace!
  22. Good day so far for the 'Minnows' League One Millwall 1 PL Watford 0 Championship Fulham 4 PL Hull City 1 National League Sutton Utd 1 Championship Leeds Utd 0 PL Man Utd hosting Championship Wigan just kicked off...clean sweep of surprises maybe?
  23. O'Halloran went for the ball totally mis-timed and without malice caught the player high up - Red card. Kiernan went for the ball and won it - a good solid tackle with no intent to injure - not even a yellow imo. McDonald lost control therefore possession of the ball then went for the player instead with intent to damage him, he left his studs on Miller which could have finished his career right there and then - Red card. McGhee is a bitter bitter man who is used to failure but just can't handle defeat to Rangers. Any club who employs this vile individual is their choice and that's up to them, but the decision to have him involved in our International set-up is baffling to say the least.
  24. Klopp finding out it's not all rosy in the garden working as a manager in England...not his usual irritating jovial self after another cup exit. Enjoy watching him squirm and getting knocked off his perch.
