The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread
Bearman replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
No link to this...my guess is the stench of the 'Scottish' tabloidies! -
Naismith won't solve our problems, BRUNO ALVES will. We have to move on from the past. Hopefully what the fans want and those in charge of the club differ in terms of 'superior knowledge'. If not - We are F**ked! Board need to get the finger out and give their appointed manager free reign...signing Naismith doesn't send out that message. I might be biased when it comes to people like Naismith, so I'm not qualified at all in who we should sign...just hope our Board doesn't 'juggle' the options in the hope they get it right on that basis. Naismith? It's a no from me. Great player, but not for us in our current predicament.

Bluebear54-s-GPL-2016-17- St. Johnstone v Rangers
Bearman replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Better bloody beat them in the 'finally' of 'THE SEASON FROM HELL!' Not been taking part much in the BB GPL so here goes... Saints (my arse!) 0 Rangers 3. FGS Miller. Is there plans for next season to put in place the 'The One Hour Before K.O. Prediction' or will it be left as is giving some competitors an unfair advantage over others? No-one should be allowed to pick two FGS in the event that the 1st one doesn't play. Predictions to be in 1hr before k.o. will ensure a level playing field for all competitors. I wouldn't mind winning the case of whisky that Frankie has kindly put up for the 2017-18 GPL winner. -
The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

We need seasoned pros now, guys like Bruno Alves is the way to go...I'm not interested in how much these guys will cost, 50,000 at Ibrox every 2nd week should cover the cost. Where's all our money going? Derek McInnes isn't a fool! -
It's utterly sickening that Warburton has left us with such a rotten squad of players when you look at what McCoist left us with! I very much wish we had went with McCall for stability and knowledge foremost before we ended up with Warburton...but that bus left before many of us got on board. Caixinha better get his arse in gear quickly or it'll get kicked out the door before you can say allymccoistmarkwarburton! Too many buses being missed since 2012.

Holt is the only outfield player to start every game under PC (nine) so doubt he'll drop him now even after his howler on Saturday. Holt's last goal was against Partick Th on 1st October (his only strike this season) he has 2 assists to his name (Killie 29/10 & Hamilton 16/12). Holt has featured in 32 of the 36 league matches, 3 of them as a used substitute, the 3 games as sub were all lost Hearts (1-4) Dundee (1-2) ICT (1-2) in the month of February. Aberdeen are without Ryan Jack and Peter Pawlett through injury while winger Jonny Hayes is suspended.

Not sure what result(s) occurred in Europe's leagues and cups, but as of today we are 'officially' a seeded team in Q Round 1. 50 seeded clubs will play 50 unseeded. List of confirmed unseeded clubs to date...(25) Shamrock Rovers Irl Chikhura Sachkhere Geo FK Jelgava Lat SJK Seinäjoki Fin Cork City Irl B36 Torshavn Far Derry City Irl VPS Vaasa Fin Valur Reykjavik Isl EL3 Hun Atlantas Klaipeda Lit Suduva Marijampole Lit EL3 Arm Torpedo Kutaisi Geo FK Trakai Lit EL1 Sma Bala Town Wal Dinamo Batumi Geo CW Gib NSI Runavik Far Balzan FC Mlt EL3 Alb Connah's Quay Wal Bangor City Wal CW And CW Lat Progrès Niederkorn Lux EL123 Mac Coleraine Nir Ballymena United Nir Folgore Sma CW Est CW Mlt EL2 And KI Klaksvik Far St Joseph's FC Gib CW Kos KEY: EL1, EL2, EL3 - League position. CW - Cup winners. UEFA uses some kind of regionalization in the first qualifying rounds. At first the clubs are divided into seeded and unseeded teams, and then the seeded and unseeded teams are split into regional groups. The general approach seems to use the North/Central/South scheme, but no specific rules are known.

I was genuinely dreading the last game against them, this time I have a degree of confidence. I think since Pedro has taken over the 'gap' has decreased, it's always nice to get one over them but if we do it today it'll be the best one ever. I suppose the next one is always the best! C'mon Rangers...Make our season!

No he's close to it, it'll depend on what happens on Sunday and thereafter...unfortunately we have a poor squad of players compared to what we are up against on Sunday...I'm only basing that on them being better paid than our players and that's not a dig at what we have...most of our players on top form can match theirs. PC as manager will already have stirred the pot of 'comfort zone Brenda' using his 'studied' approach as opposed to 'moaning' about referees 'up here' like the guy in the 'wanky jacket' does. Brenda is prime for toasting...no better time than Sunday.

I know I've started a thread before on here about the player and don't mind repeating myself about doing it again. Kenny at the ripe old age of 38 is still doing it for us, in fact I'd say he's overstepping the 'real' KM in that he has found himself more than at any time in his whole career. Okay we haven't won anything of great importance during his third stint wearing the jersey but when on the park in the past couple of months he's excelled beyond the call of duty. Miller has a knack of scoring 'big goals' as opposed to being a prolific striker in the sense. His 9 goals throughout his career against our only rivals stands proud alongside any other striker who's played in these games. He did it last year when Broon sclaffed a clearance into his path finishing with aplomb, his two goals against Aberdeen were top quality if you want to compare them with any of today's top players, last weeks header across the keeper and into the far corner was sublime too. Kenny scored a beautiful winner a few years back when down to 9 men in a cup final, this is what he does at times...important times. I believe he's only a couple of games off from entering Rangers 'Hall of Fame'. This Sunday and the 27th May. An ex tim player in our Hall of Fame? Wait!

Grandchildren Mack? Escaping them is my everyday pursuit...

Tragic thing that has happened to that poor man, a truly devastating cruel illness. A great athlete in his day.

Heart attack...Get Well Soon big man.

Surely it can't be 19 years since Dodoo?
-
Need investment NOW to stop them running up 10 titles on the trot. Simples!

No...I asked the question... Albertz was on the halfway line at best before he got a touch and fired from outside the box into the net. Some goal though eh? That game you posted mate...I was on a family break in Ireland at that time (can't believe it is 19 years ago to the day as we speak? Ouch!) It was one of those breaks which included a bus run to some place with views and lunch. I asked the driver before we boarded if we would be back in time for the 'game' starting, he informed me we would. Nice views and lunch later some of the party were fannying about and holding up the coach, I asked the driver to hurry them up...anyway the game had kicked off before we got back to the hotel and I basically shoved everyone out the way to catch the action when we eventually reached our destination. As I rushed into the hotel the place was chocco with folk watching the screen...I headed straight for the bar for drinks for our party glancing occasionally at the telly anxiously waiting to be served. Next thing I look up and Rangers players are hugging each other...Rangers had scored! I asked this big ugly unkempt fella next to me "Who scored?" His reply..."Rangers". We took our drinks to our rooms to watch the rest of the game and found out then it was Thern who scored. True. The weather wasn't very good, food was nice...result made my day!

Borussia Dortmund’s team bus hit by explosions before Monaco tie
Bearman replied to Bearman's topic in General Football Chat
Latest: Deliberate attack - motives unclear... -
Any player who couldn't walk into our current side this season deserves to be shown the door pronto... Joe Dodoo is exempted

Three explosive devices went off by the side of the coach carrying the German football team Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, slightly injuring one player. The incident occurred around 7pm local time in Dortmund’s Höchstem district, about 10k from the club’s stadium where they were due to play a Champions League quarter-final against Monaco. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/11/borussia-dortmund-explosion-team-bus

Jimmy McGrory managed Celtic for 20 years! He didn't have a Champions League qualification to worry about obviously. Nevertheless he still had bread and butter domestic leagues and cups to win. His record during his time as manager was: League Champions: 1 Scottish Cup: 2 League Cup: 2 God knows why they put up with him for so long! In his playing days he was some player though I'm told. What is Wenger's record with Arsenal in comparison to McGrory at Celtic?
-
I would love to listen to that! Are there any links to it Norris?
-
He reminds me of Rashford at Man U...said this a couple of months ago on here.
-
Hopefully he's out the door for good soon. Hasn't been anywhere near what we require.

The Scottish Government promised an investigation into historical abuse by Savile...what came of it? I know this has nothing to do with last nights programme, but I was wondering, since it's well known for many years there are photo's (most likely from The Celtic View) circulating the net of Savile 'mixing' with club officials and those associated with Celtic. Sorry if I'm going off topic, didn't want to start another thread on one question.

Can anyone remember the last time a Rangers player collected the ball in his own half, sprinted in to the opposition box and fired into the net? I can't! He deserves to start this weekend.
