  1. Ah-ha...another scoreline to look out for at weekends
  2. Right here goes....Sporting, Valencia, and Eindhoven played each 6 times, Bayern 9 times including a final. Also this Bayern have met Real Madrid 44 times never in a final.....maybe this year eh?
  3. Not sure mate, think I'll go look that up
  4. Who was it we played in the Last 32 of the 2010-11 Europa League ?
  5. Six of the draws did result in progress though...and more money for the club. Panithinaikos 0-0,1-1 (away goals) Fiorentina 0-0,0-0 (penalties) Sporting Lis. 1-1,2-2 (away goals)
  6. Looks as though there may have been some sort of metal lettering pinned to the base of the headstone which in time has 'disappeared' Very sad
  7. I looked this up thinking it can't be as bad as that, - it's worse - 3 wins in last 35??? but on a positive note, we only lost 14 of them
  8. You'll be happy with the usual 4 clubs from England 3 from Germany Spain & Italy and none from Scotland then?
  9. You are obviously too young to remember the Europeans Champions Cup, big crowds great atmosphere for clubs fans involved in it, but you're happy to watch some other competition without real champions.
  10. The Champions League is a farce even by name, it's only for rich clubs now the rich clubs are fighting among themselves about who should be seeded and who shouldn't. Bring back the old format where it's exclusive to Champions only and the game in Europe will flourish.
  11. I can do the Dumbarton game on the 25th Zappa, but if someone else wants it I'll step aside no problem
  12. No 'we' don't Nope! You are participating in 'I cant take this any more, I don't like that sort of banter' It is, DEAL WITH IT!! Nothing will change until we win title 55. Be patient ffs!! and stop feeling the victim??
  13. Record Sport can reveal.... The World is in fact not round but slightly oblong and maybe quite less than actually oblong, according to a spokesman it may well indeed be round. Record Sport has taken a break for a meeting to decide how we should report this sensation. In the meantime...the Daily Record insist you should not worry and carry on buying the newspaper.
  14. This story will roll and roll for years as long as it get's a reaction, guys writing stuff about us not being Rangers and walking off with kudos. Ignore them for gods sake, they're will be many many more wanting to step up to the plate over time. The rest of the real football world couldn't give a damn about 'our' football banter. We hate them, they hate us, we have 54 titles they have less. That's football banter.
  15. I found some pics on Google and was wondering if anyone out there knows the history of the Stadium. I'm sure most of us know the Main Stand was built in 1928 because of the date on the side of the building, so these pictures got me thinking... This one from 1920 shows a small main stand, that says 'Bovril' on the front... ...the next picture from 1927 shows a building of sorts in front of the old stand... ...a close-up of the same pic...notice the shadow of the outer wall of where the main stand is today... ...this pic from around the same time (1927) shows what seems to be the main entrance as it appears today (well part of it) it definitely resembles the centre part with the first floor showing 3 windows on each side of the wider window above the door, all the 'arches' which are part of the Stadium today can be seen clearly in this photo... ...the next picture (dated 8th December 1928) although not of sharp quality looks to me as if building of the main stand is in progress, note the left side of the first floor has extended right across to the end, but the right side has not...and still no second floor... It looks as though the fascia is being constructed with the old 'Bovril' stand still in place, was this the case? If so, it seems (to me anyway) that the seating within the main stand may actually be older than the Archibald Leitch stand itself. What was 'bugging' me is the date of the last picture - 8th December 1928 - which begs my question: Is the date on the side of the stand 1928, the START date of the build rather than the completion date?
  16. You wouldn't believe what goes on during a moderator night out. Hilarious!!!
  17. It's just a 'wind-up' and that's exactly how they work. I read that stuff in the programme and simply laughed out loud. Why Rangers as a club would throw the dummy out and complain about some Livi programme writer suggests we can't take the football jibes without showing it hurts. Tell you what...if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. We've got 1872 on our shirts fuck them.
  18. I think what les186 (six posts in 2 years???) means is - Success on the field is more important than anything else. Success on the field is the key.
  19. On a more serious note ... Give it a try I say, Boyd and Daly up front with the right service, would demolish most if they find their shooting boots.
  20. Let me guess..................Bell's, Smirnoff or Gordons.
  21. Scottish football is in the position where Rangers can be CHAMPIONS next year, THAT is the state of the game.
  22. I'd imagine Stuart McCall to be a fine manager of Rangers, whether he's up to the job is for him to decide. Talking about managers of Rangers when someone has the seat will forever always be up for debate.
  23. Barry is spot on. Rangers and C*ltic are too close to call, such is the state of football in this country, has been for many many years.
  24. I think Alan Pardew should go as well like most around the premiership neutrals. Doesn't take much to realise that. Ach the pressure of running an English club with billions in the bank must be difficult.
  25. He says his mistakes "are maybe down to a lack of match fitness too". Dear oh dear, not match fit since signing for us.
