I wish he'd flown over Ibrox tbh.

Players who get booked know the rules, as do the clubs who sign them...there should be no reprieve whatsoever for persistent foulers in the game. You let the guy off to play in the final of a cup competition and he'll do whatever is necessary to stop the opposition, no...he's lost that chance through his own fault.

Great stuff young Gers!!!

I have seen the replays of that penalty incident, and there's no doubt it was handball, the refs view was blocked by a green and grey jersey as was the far linesmans, the other official behind the bye line saw what looked like it hit the defender in the face, that was an understandable assumption from his viewpoint, the defender cleverly threw his head back as if it hit him in the face that's what the official on the bye line saw from his position. Besides the defender said on tv tonight it did hit his hand but because the ball had been struck so close to him he had no time of intentionally playing a hand ball. The officials all missed it, thanks to their positioning, a nice slice of luck which happens from time to time in football, there's no way all three refs decided to cheat timmy as it just wouldn't have worked in that incident. At the end of the day, if only one of the three refs had been another step from where they actually were at that vital split second the penalty would have been given and ICT would have been down to ten men and looking at 0-2. It turned out much different though, and like all ICT, Falkirk and Rangers fans I'm absolutely f*cking delighted about that.

Ashley Out campaign confirm final plans for ‘Boycott Spurs’ on Sunday
Bearman replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Never could understand a word the Geordie's say, same as Liverpudlians and Welsh folk. Can't speak a f@ckin' word of English. If it wasn't for their dumbass acceptance of Ashley in the first place we up here would never had to endure him for the last couple of years. -
Questions: Who was the first team in Scotland to actually win a treble? Which team have won most trebles? Who were the last team to win a treble? Which team have claimed they would win a treble every season over the past 3 years because Rangers weren't there to stop them? Which club will win the next treble?

STV Grant - Stewart Regan - King Fit & Proper chat
Bearman replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Delaying tactics of which there cant be any other outcome. King won't pass this test and to be honest after all the stuff Rangers have went through over the past years it wouldn't surprise anyone, would it? Dave King has a criminal past which ever way you want to look at it, and it doesn't really look any better than what's when on before at our club. Sad but true. Can only hope he does pass the test for our sakes, but rules are rules. -

If he wanted to burn down his ground for insurance, why wait until it's packed with people? I never believed the "cigarette or pipe tobacco slipping through gaps in the floorboards on to litter that had built up over the previous 20 years" story...but it certainly gave excuse for the fire and an escape from justice for the arsonist.

We really have to get behind the club in this hour of need, the football isn't attractive when was it ever? Rangers FC unfortunately have a wide base of glory hunters who are just waiting and costing us money. Shame on them.

In my experience on here I find Rab to be on the button mostly, he's perfectly correct in his analysis in post #23 and is only trying to get his message through to those who refuse to listen like yourself. Liewell pulls the strings and getting Rangers out of the way allows his club a free crack at the CL every year. What part of that do you annoyingly not understand?

SHANE FERGUSON arrived at Murray Park for training this morning...

Could be handy if we suffer any injuries in vital positions, don't know anything about the lad other than he's an Internationalist. -
It's well documented that in football we learn from defeat. This Rangers side have had many losses this campaign under 'fake' management and would never learn under those circumstances. The defeat on Thursday had most in a panic...,me? I wasn't worried because I believed under the current regime we would learn from it. There is a different 'feel' about the club just now, some of our players are actually believing in themselves and that's all down to guys like McCall and Kenny Black. The resounding result the players earned today was due to the hurt felt on Thursday...it can only get better imo. Nicky Law is a quality player who's been a passenger for so long, his double today proved how he's turned his game around since McCoist and McDowell left the building.

If the 4 other nonentities had made an equal or even better contribution that Haris then we might have said £500,000 is a bargain, but even without Haris we might have made the Premiership anyway, so to conclude...It was a bad deal! Again if the £500,000 is made part of a deal to sign Vuckic, then it becomes a very good deal depending on how much more we have to pay on keeping him here. Vuckic has definitely been a breath of fresh air, but the deal stinks from high heaven.

We potentially have only 3 games to go at IBROX to complete our 'journey' (might be 4 depending). Failure in any one of them could spell disaster. We need every Bear behind the team regardless. Falkirk, then QoS or/and Hibs then Motherwell or Ross County. We need to pack the place for these games and I'm hopeful we will.

Managers in any league however difficult it may be eventually meet their match, it's historical. The Scottish league is nowhere near difficult, there is no reason whatsoever that Stuart McCall isn't up to his job. A thread on who should or would be suitable for Rangers manager is scattering bullets for an answer. So I call this thread dead.

Johnstone scored a barrowload of goals for Rangers during my time of watching, Ally scored more than DJ thereafter...moving on DJ tried other things after his career as a footballer trying management, then failed progressing into a media role with STV and somehow holding on to that thing through RTV. Ally moved on to the massive circus of frontline tv shows, in between he shagged some celebrities during his time, most notably Miss Katsy Pensitt and allegedly Bue Sarker. Coisty then got a job as assistant to Walter Smith on the international front then followed Smith back to Rangers. Meantime big Derek maintains his dignity and follows on without gardening leave.

It is a long time ago...from what I can muster from my faint memory Johnstone probably missed more (unluckily as strikers do) than McCoist ever did. McCoist stole Johnstone's thunder within a short period of 5 seasons, thanks to the revolution that took place back then. Good 'ole SuperAlly. DJ for ever a bad commentator still has his CWC medal in his pocket. DJ was a fantastic player for Rangers which some forget. Probably because Ally followed him immediately.

Derek Johnstone started off as a striker in season 1970-71, scoring the winning goal as a sixteen year old in the League Cup final against Celtic and he also forced a replay in the Scottish Cup final that season with an equaliser 3 minutes from time v the tims. He was then only used mainly as a striker (naturally) in 71-72 until Colin Jackson got injured and went on to show his ability in defence with some outstanding performances in that position culminating in winning a CWC medal in May. 1972-73 and 73-74 seasons saw him play mostly as a central defender with only a Scottish Cup winners medal to show for his efforts. 1974-75 Johnstone was paired with the other Derek (Parlane) winning a league medal scoring 14 goals. 1975-76 Johnstone continued up front claiming 31 goals in a treble winning season. 1976-77 playing up front - no winners medals. 1977-78 His best season as a Ranger, again as a striker, prolific partnership with Gordon Smith scoring 38 goals and bagging other 3 winners medals in an other clean sweep, also got Scotland's player of the year for that season. 1978-79 he became captain replacing legend John Greig who was now manager. Greig thought DJ'S best position was as a centre half and played him there. The Scottish Cup was secured when Johnstone scored twice in a 3-2 victory against Hibs from that position. For the 1979-80 season Greig preferred Johnstone as his main striker, despite scoring 20 goals no medals were added to his cabinet. Season 80-81 Johnstone was reverted back to defence, after some serious setbacks up front he was moved back up to the strikers role the goals dried up for him but he added another Scottish Cup medal to his personal collection, thanks to goals from Cooper, Russell and John MacDonald (2) in a 4-1 defeat of the Arabs. 1981-82 Derek continued as a forward scoring 16 goals with only a League Cup winners medal in a 2-1 final victory again against the Arabs, where Cooper and Redford got the goals. 1982-83 DJ found it very difficult to get into the starting line-up as a striker...the defensive positions were nailed down by record signing Craig Paterson (£250,000 signing from Hibs) and Northern Ireland internationalist John McClelland. These were dire times for Rangers fans as this was highly regarded as the worst Rangers side of all time. 1983-84 John Greig signed Ally McCoist and Johnstone signed for Chelsea. Big John chucked it soon after. Things have changed a lot since Johnstone juggled from Rangers Striker to Rangers Defender, back to Rangers Striker then on to Chelsea.

Given the problems that still do exist in this 'wee sma' country of ours mainly through the football, it's crazy this idiot earns our well spent bbc licence money on using it to keep one side astonished and the other side mystified. Time to dump this vermin from our airwaves.
