I'd imagine taking into account Stu's ability to turn around the 'feel good factor' along with the feeling when the new board took control that there is no need for change in the managerial department. We all want a different approach, a different route for Rangers, a different philosophy, but we don't really need that in Scotland because the game up here is stagnant it's been like that for years. The only difference is Celtic will win it and we wont because of where we are. McCoist was a bad manager in our predicament, in hindsight probably the last bloke any club in the world would want in charge of team duties and going for it. A lot of bull served up to us since Walter and co done the same with us though furnished with bucket loads of success. I'm trying not to repeat myself here, just cementing my word. Stuart McCall should be given a chance like everyone else has. Changing the manager I'm all for, but not for the reasons suggested above. Instant success has never been afforded to McCall like his predecessors. So, IF the board decide to stick with McCall for next season we should all get behind him. That's all.

I still think it won't be a new manager for a number of reasons...time will tell of course. My reason for posting this is because of the No 1 reason (and I won't go into the others) Our board of directors have a lot more to deal with off the field than on it, they will be wary of 'big' mistakes like any board of directors make when it comes to 'filling the coffers'. The manager is a problem only if he's useless, given that McCall isn't useless then that side of things can take care of themselves. So how do you get the fans interested and buying ST's next season? It's very simple: Bring in new players of quality and ambition play them, win games, win trophies and Bob's your uncle. If the board boot McCall and bring in someone else then the same gamble applies...I don't think our board would make such a gamble in this moment of time. I could be very wrong I should add.

Is worth looking back after the results in the play-offs against QOS and Hibs (and if you don't take this into consideration then sand and ostrich comes to mind) Ibrox was 'buzzing' on Thursday night against Motherwell, some of the doubters would say "Ach it wiz only a fiver tae get in" Ibrox was full of expectation that night...the journey was almost complete, the team were actually playing again and we will win. Lots of players 'disappeared' on the night and disappeared more on the following Sunday. If you rewind back to Thursday before k.o. you'll know what I mean...the side let us down badly like they had all year, McCall did scratch a reaction then was let down by a shower of *****...not his fault.

Motherwell blew us away, something no-one expected. Down to 1 thing...That lot on the pitch running around with contracts set up to end at the end of season knowing they won't be here next season, knowing why should they bother their arse, and McCall having to win a game with all those imposters. Blame the players not the manager. McCoist's faults are not McCall's.

It was a serious post and all in the interest of where our club are heading, I only say McCall should be given the chance because of his connections and knowledge of what is required here. Dave King and T3B have every confidence in him, he was selected because of their belief in him. I wouldn't trust anyone other than McCall to take us forward right now, but if you think some guy with a great track record would take this job then I say he's the wrong man for obvious reasons. The board will make mistakes at their peril, taking the safe option is best for the moment. McCall beating Q0S and Hibs in the play-offs was a superb achievement, Motherwell played above themselves and Rangers players fell back at the final hurdle, blaming McCall for that is Ridiculous!

I'm in favour in giving McCall a chance in bringing in HIS players as long as the board of Directors are behind him which they must be. Stuart McCall should be allowed to carry on as boss in my mind. You can throw up stats of 'his record' all you can, I say give him the chance to prove himself under different circumstances rather than what he had to do with players who weren't even fit to wear the jersey in the first place. He must have noticed how far we have fallen since his time away. McCall knows what's required to be a Ranger, he surely walked through the doors and thought "Whit the FU*K are this lot doing here?" (Without actually saying it to them). I would rather stick with the man than throw ill to the wind and end up back somewhere we've already been. Would you be in favour of giving McCall the chance of a lifetime? I would.

Regardless of all the speculation going on it may well be that when all the dust settles down Stuart McCall will be in charge of Rangers for the 2015/16 season in the Championship. Paper talk likes to kindle fires as long as it sells the product. Some fans of the club will be infuriated, some will take it sensibly and accept McCall should be given a chance to improve our situation with his own players rather than work miracles with a bunch of hasbeens horrifically signed by 'look after yourself' McCoist. The board are silent because McCall was their pick in the first place and won't be sidetracked by media speculation and don't forget....the fans at the game haven't shown 'disgust' towards McCall in any way. I expect Stuart to be in charge for next season and all the pish headlines in the papers right now to be more drivvel for more pounds, shillings and pence. They'll move on and so should we. Stu McCall to remain as Rangers Boss....paper talk....next!
