  1. I can safely say I changed my mind over all of those guys you mention...I fully backed them all and if I was forced to pick one of them to come back to the club it would have to be SDM
  2. McCoist should never have signed him in the first place, but that has nothing to do with the topic. Bilel Mohsni looked a good player when he played a couple of friendlies for us, we were desperate for him to sign on the dotted line after just two trial games. After we secured him It didn't take long to find he was just another distractor like many others in these past 3 years. I think it didn't help when he engaged with the opposition fans and played it for the camera when the occasion cried out for more important business to be taken care of on the field...gradually the Rangers fans got sick of this as his concentration levels resulted in costly blunders with dire consequences for results, it also affected others in the team especially the young up and coming youths. What a mess! Moshni was severely punished for his 'behaviour' at the end of the Motherwell game, the way I see it is he was rightly punished for his contribution as a representative of RFC.
  3. I was hoping for a little 'turning back the clock' and signing him up for next season. Allan McGregor anyone?
  4. Last year around this time the fans were certain of promotion, we never even thought about doing it through the play-offs it was always going to be by finishing in first place...no wonder it didn't work out with Fosters attitude and the many other imposters wearing the blue shirt...good riddance!
  5. Nice words D'art...nothing short of total success is now not acceptable from this day on. Other than winning this crap title a Cup win should be attainable and I don't mean the Petrol cup, leave that to the kids.
  6. I sincerely hope Stu gets the job because he has the right to take it on, not like all the other men mentioned. Why I want this you may ask? Stu lifted the dynamics of Rangers, we got a glimpse of his power in a very short time. Okay he didn't take us up. Stu McCall would certainly be the best option for Rangers FC to move forward, if it's Cathro then fine if it's Warburton and Weir, fine, if it's Tom Dick & Harry get tae .... Stu McCall is the man for me, can't you see it?
  7. Money and football have cemented themselves long ago, not like the good old days when football and money meant paying your gate charge and lifting the boy over the turnstile free of charge. The guy on the turnstile would take 50p cash in hand just to let you in, you walk in and Rangers would be playing Bayern Munich or some other giant. Lifting boys over the turnstiles was a done thing in the days of European semi finals in Scotland and England. I was part of that. Today we have UEFA 'lifting' their interests into the game...money driven as opposed to football interest.
  8. Yep the 4 nations qualifying for a major tournament all in the same year is actually real, who would have predicted that? Regarding us getting there is probably less likely than the other 3 at the moment. Scotland will be happy with the game finishing all square, a win would pretty much guarantee at least third place, defeat would keep things in the boiling pot. You never know, I'll be watching that game tomorrow night with all my might behind the Scots (without a Ranger in sight mind) The Irish could knock us out for sure, but I expect Scotland to sneak it (Heart dominating head again) The Wales result gladdened me, I now find myself hoping they qualify, NI look as if they can do it, hat's off to them a wonderful outcome if they make it along with the rest of us. England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales in Euro 16, now that will be worth watching. ROI can take a nose dive for all I care.
  9. And if they do get it wrong we must stand up and get rid of them pronto.... Rab there is the possibility the board could get it right you know?
  10. Of course it was, everything you say is spot on, was that the fault of a man with a terrible choice?
  11. With respect fs, in fear of repeating myself, McCall worked wonders with players who's contracts were coming to an end, their pal Ally jumped ship long before that and the mood of those players were at 'doomsday' level. The fact he got them reaching the play-off final was miraculous if nothing else, sometimes we can all have short memories when it suits.
  12. Are you telling me you weren't 'geed up' during his time? Nonsense!
  13. That's simply untrue and saying it doesn't give you any credit at all.
  14. Aye, ok mate dream on. I'm a consumer and I want Stu to be given a decent chance to take us forward, if you don't want it then that's your problem as a consumer.
  15. With McIness signing a new contract as a real sheep then we can safely count him out of the running, as for McLeish I would be disappointed if he got the job, but I'd get behind him anyway. McCall? Can't quite see why anyone wouldn't get behind him...wasn't that long ago we were singing his praises, deservedly I should add.
  16. If Mr Gilligan is indeed reading forums to gauge fans feelings on who our next manager is then god help us. Running down McCall just because he played for us isn't healthy, personally I wouldn't mind Stu getting the job. (Just in case John is reading this).
  17. Whoever we get as manager will get full backing from the fans I hope.
  18. I think we are all being lost in the big picture of Rangers. Apart from the hatred from all corners which has been obvious to those other than who watched BBC Scotland with blinkers and the precious accompaniment of green and grey slippers. Rangers shouldn't be begging/appealing to fans ever...the fans will turn up if the board provide substance not words. We Are Rangers, we expect nothing more than our status. I'd like some serious feedback from the club, put players on the park and enlighten me or feel the wrath.
  19. It could be construed as rallying calls but to me it shouts begging. Why would we need people in charge to tell us how we should do things? That's draconian....the board need to buy players, like all football clubs do and stop feeding their fans with drivvel put into words we can't stand. Players signed by Rangers FC not fantastic words of what we are striving for...we've been doing that for far too long.
  20. Our problems were mightely different. The Mhedia, the general hate, the 'money grabbers' who controlled us to the joy of others, our smugness was open season too, not really our fault but a brilliant target for those haters whilst following their own club. The Celtic have gained most from this, complete domination at every opportunity with the rest happy to 'compete' for second place. Ridding Scottish football of their best club was always a better option for everybody. Meanwhile the Scottish media ignored the 'bigotry' connected to this saga and preferred to laugh at it, whilst SKY TV the home of football concentrated on the English game, even womans football is more important to them than our little club in Scotland.
  21. We are a long long way from that man. Begging letters (and they are) won't ever fill the 'real' fans with optimism - only action not words will ever achieve that. Put players on the park. Simples.
  22. OK thanks anchorman, Spar can be handy at times and get up the nose of others...
  23. Ha! Is that Spar the shop? If so I'll rid myself of it. Please confirm.
  24. Your the guy with no substance mate
