  1. Waghorn looks a real striker going by this video of him in action, can score with his head, both feet, doesn't matter if it's inside the six-yard box, the penalty-box, outside the box, he can even score direct from corner kicks too...
  2. Don't give them room to play you say, so if we want room to play (which is Warburtons plan) then we are open to being destroyed under that theseus. I fear if this 'giant step' is more to do with what the fans want rather than what is the best way forward. Answering to the fans has never been a Rangers thing like it has developed today. Bill Struth had everything under control, the current board are not in his league.
  3. Stuart McCall sorted Hibs out like a walk in the park with Ally's men.
  4. Young players full of enthusiasm having a pot at goal is all very entertaining and when the shot hits the target even more so. Great sides like Barca and Chelsea don't use this tactic, so why are our youngsters being encouraged to go against the grain? Like the next person, I want to see the raw talent give it a go like we have seen in the above video, but is this really the way to success? I only ask due to my acceptance of Walters cautious approach...very successful in getting us to a UEFA Final in 2008. Scoring 4 at the loss of 3 is entertainment at best, but the well run clubs don't work with that rule.
  5. Mark Warburton is making all the right noises as it stands, and good on him. The task at hand is going to be very interesting...he's never worked in Scotland, but has experience in 'lower leagues' and Weir has experience at the top end of the game. A seemingly brilliant combination for where we are right now. Exciting times ahead?
  6. I was a bit peeved about the all black strip used a few years back then got to quite like it. This purple one has me feeling the same way...nothing to do with Rangers traditionally and lacking in oomph! In saying that I love the Puma kit, very professional looking and better than that awful 'new balance' effort, and I'm not just saying that because you know who are now donning it. Going back in time to just 3 years ago, the Rangers team kit looked very poor and shabby under Umbro, the Puma kit is very tidy and their styling is pretty impressive... I'm not a fashion guru or anything, just saying the Rangers kit is very professional and fitting for today's modern athletes. If I was to buy one it would look ridiculous on me as I'm getting ever closer to an XL, so it's not really meant for the general supporter who prefer steak and ale as opposed to train or fail, the unfortunate Kris Boyd was found out as soon as he put it on...get my drift? Anyway, the Puma kit for me sorts out the achievers from the heavers.
  7. I'll be honest and admit to having no idea of all these players we've signed recently, absolutely no knowledge at all. But that in no way makes me feel uninspired by the developments, in fact it's having the complete opposite effect on me and I just can't wait to see how all this vision from W&W transpires in the coming season. Buckle up, settle down, a return to the good old days is how I'm feeling about it.
  8. Horrible ugly face unsuited for television, terrible accent to boot. Good riddance to the Rangers hater.
  9. Yes his SD company is doing very well but in comparison sales of Rangers shirts will have bombed so he should just rip up that contract and move on to enjoying his success instead of holding on to it through sheer spite.
  10. Maybe admin could put a 't' in after 'S' ...thanks.
  11. I'm just following up from an idea I got from another thread. Mostly in my time (days gone by) we have always had a 'twin striker' system operating up front, I won't go into examples, but who do you think Mark Warburton will have up front giving his attacking approach. We have a very rich history of 'twin forces' I suspect we are moving in the right direction to bring this back into play. Clark and Hardie? That's my thought as it stands for now, what do you think?
  12. Make or break for van Gaal now...fantastic season ahead (yet again!) I can't see past Chelsea just now but who knows that's the pull of the EPL. I have a feeling for Man City too, but that's just me, love watching Aguero, Yaya & Silva along with their outlandish approach. Wonder if Arsenal can make a real challenge, would welcome it, then there is Man U who knows?
  13. Depay to play as striker for MU...
  14. Clark and Hardie twin force?
  15. I don't want to look at it as a small club thing either, but how else can it be seen? We've lost a helluva lot these past years including our status. Don't despair it will return.
  16. Strikers do lose form, Nicky Clark who proved himself in this division 2 years ago lost form playing in a dreadful team with dreadful set up. Nicky Clark had the ball bouncing off him because of that, in saying that there were moments of magic (yes far and few between) Bringing in a loanee with a better management team might just be the making of the man.
  17. In fairness to GS I think it is more in frustration at where we are rather than what we are doing just now. Loanees are for small clubs to the extent of using them to reach your goal. So yes, it is for small clubs. The 'Big' clubs use them as a useful means to see if they 'fit in'. If they don't then no worries move on, if they don't fit with the small club they're stuck.
  18. Ajax used to be a feared name in Europe, now they just make up the numbers like a lot of great teams of the past. Anderlecht, Benfica, Feyenoord, Red Star, Ferencvaros, Cologne and St Etienne come to mind too.
  19. We tried that 3 years running...so the answer is obvious.
  20. With a good manager we could win the Petrofac Training Cup using kids.
  21. Bilel Mohsni set to land German move Bilel Mohsni could be set for a surprise move to German side Eintracht Braunschweig. The Bundesliga 2 club were in the top flight two years ago for the first time in 28 years and finished eighth last term in the German second division. They are ready to attempt another push for promotion and Braunschweig sports director Marc Arnold has held talks with Mohsni's representatives. Mohsni has been linked with a move to Tunisian outfit Club Africain too, but has yet to seal a deal. The 27-year-old would then face a sweat to see whether he can resume his career immediately in Germany or Tunisia without a ban. Both FAs would receive notification of his SFA ban and then decide whether to apply it at his new club. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/rangers-reject-bilel-mohsni-set-to-land-german-move.131752301?
  22. With Newcastle reportedly set to allow Haris Vuckic to leave this window and Bolton being interested, do you think Warburton would be interested in him and beat them to it? Would you like to see this happen?
  23. Let's hope he ends up as the leagues top scorer by a mile with a player of the year gong going up to the Premiership as a champion.
  24. Can't agree more with this bit...the tims gubbed Hearts 7-0 over two cup games last year ! We need to set our sights much much higher.
  25. "You should have stayed on the telly".... Newcastle fans to manager Shearer when they got relegated.
