Astra conquerors of ICT knocked West Ham out 2-1 (4-3)

I see the much heralded team from the North bit the dust before the group stage. Sheep 1-1 Almaty (agg.2-3)

Exactly how I see it too, great feelings getting greater every day practically.

If James Tavernier is suddenly worth £4m, there'll be a few EPL managers kicking themselves right now. But I don't think that'll be the case.

If Costa stays fit I just can't see past Chelsea winning it again, with players like Fabregas Willian and Hazard supplying him he'll score a barrow-load this season. It must be remembered Costa missed a third of league games through injury in 2014-15 yet still managed to score 20. Falcao has the potential to knock in 15+ (20+ if Costa misses games) and Hazard seems to improve year on year. In saying that, Arsenal are looking very good and will make the most of any slip-ups. Cech will instil confidence in defence and an injury free Walcott along with the brilliant Sanchez and Cazorla together could make it happen this year. Can't really separate the two teams. I think Man City Man Utd and Liverpool will battle it out for 3rd place. Aston Villa will eventually finish in the bottom three along with Watford and Sunderland. Have a feeling Norwich City will finish in the top half.

I'd say the opinions of the Celtic fans/English and our own fans were for different reasons. They questioned Kings 'fit and proper' test because they don't want Rangers to have success - the Gers fans reasons where because (wrongly, imo) they thought the old board could deliver it more.

Overrated imo. His actions last season cost his team a possible treble, and he really should have saw red at the weekend but for the referee. Bombscare?

All the best and balanced football reporters mostly work down in England, those at the other end of the scale find work in Scotland. I prefer to watch and listen to MotD or SSN, than anything Scottish TV or radio has to offer, it's been that way for me for longer than I can remember.

Admin should correct the spelling of the title,,,

That sums up the the first of the CL qualifiers... I'm going to predict one of the others still to be played. Celtic win appeal and are awarded a 3-0 victory....£100 quid on it
-
The last of 4 qualifiers in the CL saw Molde and Dinamo Zagreb battle out a hard fought 3-3 (must have been money well spent) resulting in Zagreb going through on away goals after a 1-1 first leg.
-
Apoel Nicosia lost 0-1 at home but still went through due to away goals against FC Midtjylland after winning the first leg 2-1.
-
A well known football club took advantage of young boys.... Edit: I'll start again. Monaco took advantage of a poor Young Boys side in the CL Qualifier trouncing them 4-0 for a 7-1 aggregate.

I haven't reached the 'goosebump' stage yet *(82nd minute excused) but I might get there soonest *We love you Rangers

Deprived licence paying St Mirren supporters? Haha.

Stu McCall played a blinder

After securing a credible 2-2 away result against Austrian side Rapid Vienna (remember them? ) Ajax slumped to a 2-3 home defeat and exited the CL before it has even started. How the Mighty have fallen.

Yeah Harry went on about those guys too and many others...he also went on a bit about current players at the time, especially Arthur Numan, I used to have fall outs with him over this, for some reason or another he just couldn't stand Arthur Numan, had no time for him at all? Each to their own I suppose

Just thought I'd post this. My wife's uncle (Harry) passed away yesterday at the grand old age of 90. Harry was Rangers through and through he loved to talk about the Rangers teams of the 50's, I was forever in awe of the stories he told us all, over the course of the last couple of years Harry was blighted by dementia and basically went into decline. His all-time favourite player was Sammy Cox...funny how it turned out for Harry and Sammy. R.I.P. Harry Ballantine.

First time I've seen the untidy one with a smile on his face
-
In fairness to Konterman he did score the best ever goal in extra-time at Hampden Pk

Hooper...Samaras...

Not sure about those fake coverings over the main stand front...some paint would make a far better impression. It's amazing what slo-mo shows Tavernier was sublime there it must be said.

Always sad to hear about the passing of great Rangers men. R.I.P. Sammy.
