Bud also 'plapped' the ball on Davie 'nice guy' Provan's head before delivering an exquisite throw to Alex Miller who finished with aplomb at the P. Drome...

Christiano Ronaldo takes the piss all over Europe and it's lorded, some boring b@stards don't like it. Lionel Messi sticks the nut on a player and walks Scot Free. Our new player from England showboats and the mhedia up here wants to stamp that out of Rangers.

Anybody on here got any idea who this player is? What position should it be? Will he come from abroad or nearer home? Auld experienced guy or young hopeful?

Chris Woods joined us during the Souness era....What game are you two talking about?
-
It's actually quite amazing how quickly we found the man isn't it? Like you say, he was born to be a Rangers manager.

I'd like to see McGregor given a chance by MW, personally speaking I liked the guy's application and effort during the dark days, he has something to offer. We'll have to wait and see if he can make the step up that others have.

Mark Warburton heaped praise on "outstanding" Lee Wallace after naming the full-back as the new Rangers club captain. Gers boss Warburton revealed he agonised over who to select as successor to Lee McCulloch, but is adamant the 28-year-old emerged as the stand-out candidate. nd Wallace celebrated his appointment in style, leading his side to an emphatic 5-1 Scottish League One win over Alloa thanks to goals from Martyn Waghorn, James Tavernier, Jason Holt and a Kenny Miller brace. Warburton said: "It was only logical. People ask me why I didn't do it earlier, but I think to rush into a decision of that magnitude would have been wrong. "It's a big responsibility and you have to know that the player is up to it. "But Lee, from the first whistle, has been outstanding for us. He fully deserved it. "When he said yes to the offer, I was delighted for him - because he will be crucial this season." Warburton also handed a debut to Nathan Oduwa, an arrival from Tottenham last week, and the gifted winger played a pivotal role in Miller's strike to make it 5-1. He showcased a swathe of tricks, including a 'rainbow flick' which drew the ire of some Alloa players. And, while absolving the youngster of any accusations of disrespect, Warburton admitted he "wasn't a fan" of the move. He added: "I'm not always a big fan of that! But you've got to hope you develop a real talent - and he is a real talent. "You've got to make sure you create the environment for those boys to flourish. That's the key. "I'm delighted with how he played and delighted we've got him. But he has to realise that he's up here to learn. "There's no lack of respect intended by any of the players, absolutely not. Nathan's just enjoying his football." Alloa's goal came via a stunning Michael Chopra volley, temporarily restoring the score to 1-1 in the opening exchanges. Nevertheless, Wasps boss Danny Lennon was left to rue another sloppy start by his side, just a week after shipping three goals in the first half against Queen of the South. Lennon added: "We didn't give ourselves the best possible start - again - which is disappointing. We haven't learned from last week. "We got ourselves back in the game through a fantastic Michael Chopra goal, but didn't give ourselves any opportunity to build on that, giving away a penalty straight away. "I think we only implemented the things we worked on in fits and starts. "But you can certainly see the quality of Rangers. They are a much improved side and played expansive football."

Thanks for clearing that up Bearger...McCoist didn't play in the 2nd leg (dropped?) He was subbed in the 8-0 game though
-
I must be thinking of the 1st leg 8-0 where McPherson got 4 Dementia Loyal
-
Was at the Raith (10-2) and Valletta (10-0) this being my sons first game too He got 4...McCoist played and didn't score any
-
Just four games into the season and he has bagged 5 goals (he missed a game last week through suspension) It took Miller 24 games last season to reach 5, ironically at Alloa in a 2-3 reverse in November. This player looked finished last year, he's like a new signing on fire. Keep up the good work Kenny, you have completely change my mind yet again.

I don't want to get carried away either, is our scoring record of all time in one game FOURTEEN?

After the shock development of the 'Scott Allan Affair' most are saying he'll sit on the bench and isn't good enough to make Celtic's midfield. If he isn't good enough for them then he aint good enough for us. They are welcome to the player.
-
A professional, yes - A turncoat, most definitely.
-
Really do doubt it.

Can't see Allan, Rangers man, signing for them then going back to hibbees and preventing us going up. Can't even see him signing for them to start with. He is a Rangers man, isn't he?

Calm doon lads!!!

When Accies went up the season before last they made a big impression hitting top place in the Premiership at one stage, losing their manager to Norwich saw them bomb into mediocrity though. Hearts this season already sit at the top (ok only 3 games) winning all their games and cruising most of the time just like Hamilton previously. If the Edinburgh club can hold on to their manager for the rest of the season they will achieve European qualification for 2016-17 through a top 4 finish easily. When (not if) we go up this year I'm confident we too will hit top spot in that league but have a more realistic chance of holding on to it for much longer than Accies or Hearts.

Rangers fan Scott Allan would do well at Celtic - Derek Ferguson Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson reckons being a supporter of the Ibrox club would not stop Scott Allan from succeeding at Celtic. The Parkhead side have made an offer to Hibernian for midfielder Allan, who is a boyhood Rangers fan. BBC Scotland has learned that Allan would consider joining the Premiership champions. "He just looks to me a guy that could probably handle that type of situation," said Ferguson. "He's a class act in my opinion. If he went to Celtic, I think his performance level would go up a notch. He's got a bit of gallous-ness about him; a swagger. "What I would say is that if a big club like Celtic comes calling, I think it's a no-brainer. You've got to take that opportunity because getting the opportunity to sign, whether it's a Rangers or Celtic - one of the bigger clubs - you don't knock it back." If Sellik do get him then it's them who've weakened our main opponents...they desperately need us up next year.

Whit! £600,000 AND Dylan McGeouch? That's not as good as our offer

...of stickers and empty seats. While the game in Scotland gets a boost with news of Rangers attracting almost 50,000 fans to watch a game of football in the 2nd tier on a Friday evening with the game shown live on BT Sports, the so called top division 'game of the night' reveals a quite different story.
