It's not nonsense, it is just that you are too thick to understand the processes involved. Leeds were awarded the second leg by a score of 3-0. This 3-0 scoreline is not just something that is grasped from thin air.

Use whatever term suits. His name would have been entered on the squad list v St.Pats. When it was received by UEFA they would have removed on of the games from his suspension. And so on. There are countless players at clubs who don't get registered to play in matches for various reasons. UEFA couldn't enquire about every one of them. A complaint from Celtic wouldn't have been needed for a suspended player and I have no idea if it came from them. I haven't seen anything stating that.

Because it's in the rules.

Legia weren't thrown out either. Celtic were awarded the tie 3-0 and went through on away goals. Stuttgart lost 4-1 at Elland Road following a 3-0 win in Germany. There was a play-off because Leeds were awarded a 3-0 victory which tied the aggregate.

The game against Celtic needed to be the fourth time that he had been listed as an eligible player since his red against Apollon. If it wasn't, as soon as he appeared it would have flagged up on UEFA'S disciplinary list.
-
Debrecen was for a player who wasn't eligible because he wasn't listed to play, not because of suspension. See above for how they differentiate between the two.

Stuttgart were v Leeds a few years back. I think that one was to do with the '3 foreigners' rule.
-
Have they been accused of cheating? See the post above. That should quell your latest conspiracy theory.

Found this on Bert Kassie's site: Open and shut case if that is accurate.

Not for a player who should have been suspended. Peter Mate of Debrecen. Played in a 4-1 aggregate win in 2010 when he hadn't been named on the squad list. 15k fine.

I couldn't really give two fucks. If you have suspicions about me, report them to admin.

No real surprise. The rules are quite explicit.

A suspended player is banned from even sitting on the bench never mind taking part in the game.

With the Llhoyds Bhank Bhoys in on it too, no doubt.

That wasn't the same as this.

Yet another case of the headline and the article telling two very different stories. Tabloid dross.

Which part of 'no sporting advantage' are you struggling with?

Why would they prefer a qualifier for the EL when a defeat in the CL qualifier would see them parachute into the EL group stage anyway?
-
That isn't what Legia will be judged on initially, although it may be taken into account when/if a punishment is being handed down.

Chris Graham should fully focus on the current shenanigans. The result of the HMRC appeal won't change anything.

Good for the co-efficient, BH!

You were replying to someone who said that an empty stadium would force the board's hand. You chose to use attendance figures from the 1990s to rebutt his assertion. So you, the poster who loves to ridicule 'soothsayers', based one assumption on various other assumptions. Splendid!

SDM wasn't living hand to mouth and relying on weekly takings. What do you base this '30k crowds will be deemed satisfactory' on? There were warnings that there would be 'going concern' problems if ticket sales were not on par with last season.

Great post. The lack of understanding with regard to the co-efficient is going to shock many people if/when Rangers do start challenging for a European place. There is a misconception that it will just be like before.
