  1. What we need is to become a viable business that doesn't spend around 10M more than it earns every year. What we as fans have to accept is that the transition will come with a degree of pain and show the patience necessary. What we need is vision, competence and cojones in those upstairs. What looks like happening is more of what has been going on for decades.
  2. The Banter Years will give The Mousetrap a run for it's money for longevity at this rate.
  3. We are going to score a second early second half. I feel it in ma water.
  4. A collective determination, effort and application has been there today. Makes a huge difference. Still fragile.
  5. Probably because he was in the Belguim squad.
  6. Proof is in the pudding, either way.
  7. Whatever XI start, they need to be 100% in application, concentration and effort (not just for 10 minutes). If they can do that and the basics, we'll win. At a time of uncertainty, we could do with seeing some unity and cohesion between players and coaching staff.
  8. You didn't, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, fill your boots. You are going on ignore because stalking and stupidity are a toxic mix 😁
  9. Two points about my post. Both you have got completely wrong. 1. Nothing to do with turning up to football matches. Very few supports could match the loyalty shown in that regard. 2. The word 'toxic' was selected carefully and describes something that you don't seem to get. Must do better Especially when (stalking😁) shouting out like you do.
  10. I thought John Gilligan posted on here with the username 'Compo' ? Connection: biscuits 🕵🏽‍♀️
  11. Just as well we have a constructive and united supporter group to help things along.
  12. Might as well put Compo in charge. He may be able to raise temporary finance via Bet365.
  13. We don't have all the details but it is fair to say we have become a toxic binfire. If true, the manager won't be feeling as secure in his post. Edit. Sorry to hear about John Bennett's health issues. Hope he recovers as soon as possible.
  14. If the rumour / report of John Bennett about to resign is correct. It would seem as senior executive posts at the club aren't an attractive proposition for those in situ, either. We have become toxic and the fans have to take their share of the blame.
  15. A fair wind would fan the flames. We need calm 😂 For half a second I thought that you had suggested Willie Miller!
  16. Unless we are offering a relatively generous package, we aren't an attractive proposition for a reputable CEO. A bonfire of a club with the fans and press ready to pounce.
  17. Pot, kettle, black. Nearly every time I come back on here you follow posts of mine with some excuse to have a snidey, pathetic snipe. I'm just calling you out for it.
  18. Which board (directors) ? The current board are looking to make the club a viable business after multiple previous boards have went with the more popular spending more than they made, whilst kicking the can further down the road. The current board, like multiple prior boards, have made a lot of poor decisions and lack real leadership qualities BUT under Bennett, are at least trying to make the club viable. If the support don't show a degree of patience over the MEDiUM TERM then they deserve what will come further down the line.
  19. Mr thread polis, Ever so sorry for developing the conversation into areas that you don't seem to approve of or in part, agree with. I did directly address the topic in my first post. However, I didn't realise that the former freedom of speech warrior had appointed himself as thread polis. Well, maybe I did because you have made a habit of it, every time I come back on here. FO
  20. "A slight hangover" Its a wee bit more than that. Bar the odd exceptional year, we haven't been able to live within our means for decades. Our main rivals have become the polar opposite. It was the main reason behind the fall in 2012. Creatively, trying to lower outgoings. In the age of FFP, we have to radically change our addiction of spending too much money, badly.
  21. Do the new FFP rules allow a club to cover losses in this way ?
  22. The leagues haven't yet been designed but I get your point. What I was getting at was access to better revenue streams. To eventually be reasonably competitive at the level we were shoehorned into. At the moment, we aren't competitive in the SPFL.
  23. What does outside investment mean ? Back to (remaining in) the 'good old days' of spending more than we earn, perhaps? How would that go down with the new FFP regulations? Is there a queue of well intentioned extremely wealthy benefactors because I didn't see many of them in 2012. Bennett is at least right in that we firstly have to become viable and it will be painful.
