Club 1872 funding | Club 1872 purchase more shares

My uninformed impression from afar is that C1872 has to a degree, been taken over by the interests/influence of DK. Whether Chris Graham would have played a part in such a hypothesis, I don't know but I'd imagine the bookies would offer short odds on it. That is two guys who have credit in the reputational bank and perhaps DK has so much that it's too easy to say yes. That doesn't make DK into Sir Duped, but it would be more than naughty to go about what he is doing in the way I suggest it might be. -
Why would Scottish fitbaw spend money it can't spare, for a system that doesn't bring what it says on the tin ?

We have a number of options up front and all have contributed notably at various times during this season, but for one reason or another they lose a bit of form, get injured, are rotated, are more fringe than first XI, etc and aren't 8/10 every week. IMO SG&Co have managed this issue successfully and it's unreasonable to expect perfection. I'd also add that good recruitment makes their job easier. -

Tierney started 23 League games for Celtic (2015/16) when he was 18, ie. the age Kennedy is now (19 soon). -

I don't think the really big clubs with financial clout will be after Kai Kennedy. That is the stuff of tabloid articles. Kennedy will be 19 in March and that is young with a lot of room for development but these days, the elite youngsters are increasingly making their mark at the top level prior to that age. I'm glad we seem to be keeping him but we've heard this so many times and never see them near the first team. If they are good enough, we need to start giving them more opportunities. If they aren't, then the recruiting/development of youngsters isn't working. When we do get a Billy Gilmour, we don't even get to see him. If we are a club where the level of demand on managers isn't conducive to 99% of 21st century young footballers getting oportunities..... and the other 1% get taken by big clubs at 16 years old, is it worth it ? I'd say Dickson or Barjonas should get an opportunity to be first cover/play if neccessary given the current situation. The talk of the steamie is to go out and bring cover in....The lad Kelly, on loan at Ross County should IMO be in the squad next season. Finance is a consideration and we also need more of our own developed players for the European squads in the future. -

The tweeter can't say he "was just criticising Israeli foreign policy" because he evidently wasn't. The tweet was blatantly anti-semitic. You are trying to twist the logic on this, just as you need to invent stuff on other threads to call out posters on the same subject. ------------ @26th of foot Re. Peter He is having a nightmare of a season. Everything he touches is now turning to sh!t. If I could draw a comic sketch/cartoon (a la Viz), it would start with the very professional PLC board holding a meeting in the Hampden Shower area. -

Late November But in a statement, SPFL fixture chief Blair said: "Discussions between Celtic FC and Hibernian FC had taken place about the Celtic v Hibernian league match originally scheduled for Saturday J anuary 9th. "Celtic wished to move the fixture from its scheduled time, to another slot that weekend. When the two clubs could not reach agreement, I received a request from Celtic FC to move their home match against Hibernian FC to Monday January 11th. "I took the request to the SPFL board, noting that Hibernian FC objected to the move. "However, as the proposed date change fell within the same Friday - Monday fixture slot, and was made by the home club, I informed the SPFL board that my intention was to agree to the request. "As has been the case for the past 22 years, SPFL policy, where two clubs do not agree about a fixture change and in the absence of any other relevant factor, is to favour the home club. "Both Celtic FC and Hibernian FC were advised of the change more than an hour before the decision was made public, with no adverse comment being received from Hibernian FC ahead of publication.” https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-v-hibs-fixture-change-19375617 ---------- I brought this up at the time. Bear in mind this is a non-essential overseas travel trip in the midst of a pandemic. The Pandemic isn't relevant ..........How can Blair (SPFL) get away with that ? We know why he gave the OK. The same reason as to why the first OF match was played on the 17/10 #Peter Bottomline SPFL......not fit for purpose -
That is for club management and players....ya jessie Waddle !!! You could argue it was for fans as well up until about 1430hours Saturday past when we took the pivotal 3 points on offer and established a lead of at least 10. No-one is saying we've won the title yet but we are now in relax and enjoy territory. If our lead is reduced/increased then moods will change accordingly. For me, get to 18wins IAR and we've done it. Would be a good way to go into the Antwerp games. Better if we can recapture some form, although our performance blip has returned 12/12 pts and 4 clean sheets

Include me in the behind the couch, nervous group.........until FT yesterday. Yesterday was pivotal and we took the points. They could easily have been 4 points behind just now but we are now 10 points in front (Add GD and their games in hand are not yet points). Importantly, add the management and focus of Steven Gerrard. We don't have the League Cup to get in the way and I don't think our team is about to throw things away. There are faultlines throughout their club and weren't capable of taking their chance to shift momentum. Psychologically, they are now more or less done. I tend to be as tentative as anyone when it comes to this type of thing...but there are now grounds for fans (not team) to relax and enjoy. This is mirrored by their resignation,..just becoming real. IMO, It's done (deal closed) if we win our next four. -

I think it now very important that Ross Wilson&Co prepare and organise things as best they can to give the first team as good a chance as possible to negotiate the CL qualifiers and make the group stages. I'm not saying it's simply about going out and spending a lot of money this month and the early summer, I don't think we can. Look at the dates of the qualifiers and plan accordingly, they could be the most important games of the season given our need to get back on financial track. We know a good part of the reason Celtic didn't make the group stages in the last several seasons was down to badly managing player contracts, untimely and bad recruitment or lack off, unhappy players and general disharmony. They could have gone so far ahead financially that we'd have been in a near impossible position but Peter's legacy will have a sour taste. #McGinn,Boyata,Dembelee,Rodgers,Eduoard, etc To cement our position back at the top, we could very much do with next seasons CLGS money. We need to plan and prepare in a timely manner and as best we possibly can. ps. I don't think we will have a summer qualifier until August (as per current calendar) -
He'll be busy painting the bedsheets as Peter changes direction and starts lobbying Scottish Government to keep fans out of Parkheid.

Game started as I thought it would. They were the hungrier and wanted it more, without Jack and Arfeld we struggled in midfield and the ball kept coming back at us. I was surprised at just how blunt we were in the first half and had thought our counter-attacks would carry more threat. Aribo, as he showed in September 2019, isn't made for that position in an OF match. But they didn't have the quality to make their superiority count and we had the best player on the pitch keeping out anything on target. The second save from Eduoard (even though it was offside) was out of this world. We hung in there and eventually did them. Two good balls from player of the season, Tav. The pass to Morelos (Bitton red) and the corner (goal). But that is now just noise,...it's the points that make prizes and when the whistle went on nearly 95 minutes, SG looked like a man who was already thinking of how best to go about getting the next three on offer. I don't live in Scotland, nor do I know of any Celtic fans where I do live but what an opportunity for heavily sarcastic banter back in Glasgow. There are just so many different angles to take ? -

- we have young players to back-up squad - if Barjonas (22 this month) isn't near the level, why is he still here ? - Dickson did well against Falkirk and looked confident - money is tight and we continue in unpredictable times -

McGregor the Keeper: World Class !!!! McGregor the goalscorer: Thanks bud !!! I think they'll target Morelos early doors for those yellow/red cards challenges that the ref will probably let go #FirstOneFree Odds are on SG trusting Alfredo. It's a risk but AM is more than capable of providing a reward. There would be a risk of Itten getting lost in a first OF start. -
Last night, I watched The Godfather again. Thinking about Cosgrove in Sri Lanka brings an unpleasant image of his ugly coupon to mind, on the shoulders of the ungainly body of Colonel Walter E.Kurtz (Marlon Brando/Apocalypse Now) leader of a jungle cult.

That as well, undoubtedly. I feel sorry for his Mrs and wee Jack, but maybe his property portfolio allows for some considerable distancing.

Via various platforms and various accents, he preaches so much that I think most just nod without really listening. For me, his use of various accents underlines a fundamentally dishonest approach to communication. He is selling, rather than informing and puts a premium on how the mesage sounds. Accuracy in the detail of what he drones on about isn't nearly as important to him and is often deliberately twisted or left out.
