  1. Emotional blind loyalty allows most football clubs to remain distant from cutting edge customer service. One thing social media has shown up is the same or very similar complaints to arise repeatedly, then lip service and promises. They aren't fully addressed and it starts again.
  2. A lot of ground to make up. Scottish provincial clubs in Europe are on a par with those from the likes of Lithuania and Malta. First up this season Motherwell 0 Sligo Rovers 1
  3. Kiev beat Fenerbache in Turkey after extra time and go through to play Sturm Graz. So, the winner of our tie can get drawn against winners of the following ties in the Play-Off Round: Monaco v PSV......or........Dynamo Kiev v Sturm Graz We've played all 4 in European competition PSV, 3 times (2 successful 78 & 99) and we remain undefeated against them in the 3 away legs played thus far. Sturm Graz and Monaco once, in the same CL group (2000) We put Dynamo Kiev (under Russian flag) out of the 1987/88 European Cup and this would be the first time we've played Ukrainian opposition, being the 43rd nation faced in Europe (according to wiki).
  4. Rumours out there suggest that Frankie has negotiated a deal with money up front and that this was 'coincidently' followed by him booking up a trip to Turkey for hair implants (on top).
  5. AEK Larnca have bitten the dust, beaten on penalties by the Danes, who will now probably go out to Benfica. It doesn't matter regards to potential play off round opponents for the winner of our tie. It can only come from one of the other two ties, not involving Benfica. Tomorrow will see five potential opponents become four. Kiev or Fenerbache will go out.
  6. I'll be happy enough if the new lad were to win eight major honours with Rangers, including 3 league titles and play in a European final.
  7. You inspired them with your negative waves, man !😄 Considered Prodan/Steaua but that was a bad memory (late winner) combined with a lack of memory (Prodan game time in blue)....Count yourself lucky.
  8. We'll find out in the coming months. The problem was always going to be having things done and new players up to speed for the CL qualifiers. A next to impossible ask if you don't get the right offers for your own players at the very start of the window. Fingers crossed rather than confident.
  9. Otherwise known as being Levskied !
  10. Is it not more surprising that Gilmour has signed it ?
  11. Looks like a young Sasa Papac. Here is hoping he can at least do as well as SP.

After such a protracted and expensive struggle to get retail/merchandise back from Mr.MASH. It certainly isn't being fully taken advantage of and supporter goodwill to the Castore approach is understandably low. Entirely predictable I think a decision was taken to add incentives (mygers) to the "blind loyalty" just to make sure there would be a continued / higher level of take-up/sales over many different revenue streams. Ie. In many areas of 'service', rhetoric and lip service is as far as they actually intend to go. As for Bisgrove, if he is hitting his targets, the targets aren't interested in what the supporter thinks.

It is one thing some saying that James Bisgrove/Rangers commerce..... is doing an excellent job. How important to fans, is that part of the excellence would appear to be making deals that end up treating the support like shit. From merchandise to catering and a whole load of stuff in between. Promised improvements rarely materialise. Football supporters and their loyalty have generally been taken advantage, ie. it is obviously not exclusive to Rangers. Nor is say, relatively poor catering anything new. But the improvement in the commercial for the club is partly down to squeezing the support with as little as possible in return. The creation of MyGers seemed to me like a dubious scheme to eliminate the thought process in the pursuit of sales accross the board. It is a competitive world,... but it is one thing offering a degree of value and another, when it is so often ripping the pish. If that is just business, are the support just clients? Is it that the majority of the support understand the financial need of the club and are happy, or at least accept the situation ? Should the club start giving a little bit back in terms of value and better service, etc?
  16. Saw this on another site McCrorie starts in goal Davies starts
  17. I could understand a debate about whether it should be McGregor or McLaughlin, if we were NOT going to be a team to play it out from the back. In that case, I'd still give the gloves to McLaughlin because McGregor's lack of command in his 6 yard box has morphed into a way that provincial dross (PD) target our goal,...and had success last season. Enter reallity, ie. Gio wants us to play out from the back and it isn't even a debate. If Gio wants to play out from the back, surely we want two keepers who are good at distribution. Maybe it is just a cunning plan, to encourage PD to venture forward and press us. ps. I hope that McLaughlin´s attemped mazy in his 6 yard box against West Ham will be off the agenda come the competitive stuff.
  18. Why start McGregor yesterday if McLaughlin is to get the nod next week? What puzzles me is a manager who wants to play out from the back giving McGregor an extension ? Great shot stopper, yes but his distribution is simply not good enough. That goes for being first choice or backup.

Can you and Bluedell go and get a table together. This is a fitbaw forum 😄
  20. Union.SG about to start their League campaign in a couple of minutes. St.Trinians v Union SG Giovanni's TV viewing sorted for Saturday night edit 30 minutes in St.Trinians have just went in front with well worked goal Neither team look very good Vanzier (USG forward) looks quite sharp That is enough of that, reminds me of a Hibs v Dundee Utd match. edit 2 HT still 1-0 One of USG's regular defenders looks to have picked up an injury. At least he has been subed after 40 minutes-
  21. Spurs squad really is on a different planet when you consider finance and depth. At one stage, they had Kane, Son, Richarlison and Perisic on the pitch at the sametime !!! I hope your Father-in-law has now recovered @CammyF
  22. Listening to Sportsound for 15 minutes and the first mistake about Rangers. However, the new more generous coverage on Rangers meant it was positive. Apparently we beat Spurs 2-1 😄 I think it was Jane Lewis, who to be fair to her, is just plain incompetent. 10 minutes later......it was correction time.
  23. Switched on at 1-1, so limited in what I have saw of the game. Various positives but the major thing that stood out as a real potential problem is finding it difficult to play out from the back and too often losing the ball in a very dangerous area. We are going to have to get much better at linking back to middle/half-turn and play forward. Then obviously, there is the question of McGregor's poor distribution (and apparent 'first choice' for Gio ??). Will be interesting to see if we have more success with it against lesser opposition next week (Livingston) .... but I'd bet Martindale will have his team doing extensive high press drills in the lead up to next weekend.
