  1. Walter Smith was rightly furious with both the immature and stupid idiots. Appointing this level of person as interim manager is ripping the pish out of your own club. Having a square go with the toilet wall is probably representative of what brought him such managerial success in non-league football but whether it will faze Jose Mourinho is up for debate.
  2. Are you comparing Walter Smith with Barry Ferguson?
  3. Don't forget Boab Malcolm, former assistant to Barry. He could be Chief Shouter of uncouth 'encouragement' and available for a square-go, at training or in the dressing room. Can't have Barry getting his brogues dirty. _–----_-----_-----_ At least we now know that Patrick is a CEO with his finger on the pulse 🫣
  4. Ferguson, OMFG !! We have crossed a line. Patrick must be working for Peter or maybe for those who write 'The Banter Decades'.
  5. For me, it's more important developing any promising youngsters. To convert what are essentially dead rubbers into 'must win' games would be to miss an excellent opportunity. The aim should be to establish if the likes of Nsiala, Rice, A.N Other? are good enough or not. No reason why we can't be competitive and win most games as well.
  6. That's the thing. You didn't need to be Nostradamus to see it coming (Aberdeen hitting a rough spell and Rangers overtaking them). Some who were caught up in the hysterical reaction, not so much. You could understand concern for the situation but concerns about not even finishing third 😂😂😂
  7. No, better that everyone can see it for what it is. But happy to leave it there. Unless you have any fresh predictions.
  8. Just putting out there a factual example of your hyperbolic doommongering that a 'relatively grounded person' could see at the time.
  9. I told you that we'd finish second regardless. I was right and you were doom mongering.
  10. Some were predicting that even third place wasn't guaranteed if our form remained the same as at the end of October. I do remember that it was @CammyF
  11. Walter Smith always recognised that to do well and consistently win football matches you needed financial backing to pay for quality on the park.
  12. 9 points behind Aberdeen after last game against them. We are now 12 points ahead of them and 10 points ahead of 3rd laced Dundee United. Done well in Europe post Dinamo Kiev defeat. Reached League Cup Final. Unlucky to lose. Discovered Igamane and perhaps a young central defender. Cracked crest disaster Time to protest
  13. Nsiala has to get a run now. We won't get a better opportunity to give him an extended run.
  14. Compo. didn't realise you were one for making YouTube content.
  15. I'll believe that when I see it in the accounts.
  16. Regards the rhebels ousting the board. They had real alternatives. The current protests at Ibrox, don't. McCann and Lawwell were who they required. The work required wasn't going to win popularity contests with their support but they were hard nosed businessmen with brains and cojones. The last thing we needed was Patrick Stewart to bow to the will of the protesters, against his better judgement. They still hate Lawwell.
  17. The reason we have won so little is that when Celtic were in the financial grubber, they built foundations (eg. 60K stadium) and went the right way about becoming sustainable. They had the right people in charge to bring it to fruition. That is what we need to do now or we will live, mostly in their shadow. I believe very much in the right to protest and saw Sir Duped, Whyte and Green for what they were (the latter two prior to them arriving at Ibrox). However, I don't agree with the UB in this particular case. We need to give Patrick Stewart a chance. I'm sceptical as to what the club will achieve in the short to medium term. I think there will be more relatively barron seasons to come.
  18. All this will do is to provide comedy material for Timmy to use in the Banter Decades videos. Rangers wouldn't last a season if we became fan (groups) owned. Generally and collectively speaking, they are worth a case study to find out why it is so bad.
  19. Rumours that 'the predictor' is on ze list for the grand all encompassing external review 🕵🏼
  20. The lack of protest will have actually encouraged the CEO regards levels of push back to what he said. The acid test is a really bad result. For example, if the sheep were to win on Wednesday.
  21. We don't know the T&C's but given the specific circumstances (extension/rebuild committment), if I were Clement I would have insisted on a 'big' payoff, if sacked (especially this season given promises). You have to add any costs regarding Clement's staff, new appointments and the new managers need for a squad that matches expectations (remit?). Who cares about the accounts though. Will ST numbers fall ? We are in a very bad place.
