I agree, those lines depend on the timing of when the ball was kicked and on tight calls a TV station could, if it wanted, probably tweak and present the case it wants to. It would be good to know how VAR actually determines this exact moment and the technology used.
-
I don't think the VAR folk will be keen to share or show up descrepancies with their process. I don't think they'll have a different camera angle to any the BBC showed and if that were the case, then you could find that call (offside) to be in the 1% (without VAR 8% decisions wrong../..with VAR 1%*) *something I heard an SFA rep saying.
-
I don't see the offside call being conclusively shown to be wrong, IMO it looks very tight. If you have footage or an angle that does, please show me the link. It almost looked like a trade off Highlights package show Colak offside call Post match speak about Livingston disallowed goal I think Kenny Miller (pundit BBC) got it spot on when he said that we got away with one (you don't always get those calls) but we fully desereved the three points.
-
The Colak offside was in the highlight package (HP) but wasn't discussed post-match. The disallowed Livingston goal wasn't in the HP but was discussed post-match. Both were tight/contentious. The offside wouldn't have changed the actual end result. The disallowed goal would have.

Coming back to this a second.... IIRC the second leg at Ibrox saw us wilt visibly after about 30-35 minutes. We were all over them from the off with high energy, fast tempo football. We weren't precise in our passing or fluent in our play but the energy carried us along, we dominated and were a goal up. Then we hit a wall and Malmo just took over, could have scored a couple before HT. Did score a couple after HT, with 10 men.
-
You started it, repeating your 0-1 prediction of Malmo (A) 😀 No-one on here predicted a Malmo win that afternoon, however tonight some have predicted a narrow USG win. There was no Roofe or Morelos in Sweden, Wright and Itten started. ps. Our last 4 games in the CL have all been against Malmo !! ....At least USG are new, that is something.
-
Sakala wasn't in the squad for that match. You are thinking of the next away game against DUtd. A much happier fixture sandwich....... Dortmund, Dundee Utd, Dortmund.
-
We looked like world beaters against Real Madrid but then Malmo, Dundee Utd and Malmo showed that not to be the case.

Feels like a lifetime ago and the memory is what it is. I recall the very first email release by Charlotte Fakes. Someone who did possess leaked/hacked documentation/emails. IIRC it was a communication between Jack Irvine (Mediahouse) and an email ID apparently used by Sir Duped. Toxic Jack was boasting about his Nexis Lexis search engine and how it could or had, found all of Craig Whyte's negative internet history. The date was around the time that Sir Duped stepped away from the breach (August 2009) and was told to let the bank place their man (Donald Muir) on the board (not sure of actual date, but not long after).

Didn't watch the Sunday show but Saturday, yes. The Colak offside was in the highlight package (HP) but wasn't discussed post-match. The disallowed Livingston goal wasn't in the HP but was discussed post-match. Both were tight/contentious. The post booking foul by the Livingston player was on neither. Nor was the same by Glen Kamara. There have been many things to rightly point toward as far as BBC Scotland output is concerned but this isn't one of them.

Very early in the season but injuries are already becoming a real issue. Goalkeeper, toss a coin. Central defence will probably be Goldson and Sands, relatively new pairing. It will be interesting to see if Ryan Jack starts, this type of game calls for his tactical positional sense. Middle to front will probably be mostly the new lads. Not particularly confident. Can only hope that USG are relatively undercooked as well.

It might, if it didn't happen so often with clubs who don't have a fan ownership model. Hearts August 2021: Hearts go fan owned. Robbie Nielson is the manager who has been a year in the job. July 2022: Hearts extend the contract of Robbie Neilson Hibs July 2021: Hibs (Ron Gordon majority shareholder) extend the contract of Jack Ross December 2021; Hibs are to play a League Cup Final in 10 days, Jack Ross is sacked. April 2022: Shaun Maloney gets 120 days, sacked.

Can't see a lot to base confidence on at this stage, it is more about crossing fingers. Predicting this game is like throwing darts, blindfolded.

Hately got around 115 goals for us. If my arithmetic is good, I think it is Morelos who is close to overtaking Hateley, with 112. Derek Parlane 111 Alfredo Morelos 112 Mark Hateley 115 Kenny Miller 116 John Greig 120 Not impossible that Tav could eventually catch John Greig's 120. -

Just getting through to the play-off round would see us recoup the fees paid out for Colak and Yilmaz. -

I think you saw the value that Morelos adds by dropping deep to get involved when you contrast Colak staying up top and waiting for service. Colak needs more support and I think the two could compliment each other, forming a fairly formidable pairing. 3-5-2, definitley an option to consider for games like today. -

A 3-5-2 with Morelos and Colak up top would serve us well in that type of game. -

Well done GVB,... but a lot of work to do to get to where we need to be. -

Livi 16% possession, have looked the more likely to score. So far, toothless. -
There is real ability in there and it wouldn't surprise me if he were to do very well with Dundee United. His corner kick/set-play delivery is excellent. #sell-on25%

Squad Average age Union SG: 24.0 Rangers: 27.4 Re. CL Qualifiers Alot depends on the new lads bedding in and contributing from the off, especially last third. -
Scottish co-efficient might be in for a relatively bad time of it this season. Motherwell are convincingly beaten by a midtable Irish side, home and away. Next up, Dundee Utd against AZ Alkmaar...... No, me neither. Then you have Celtic in a CL group*, they are going to get little to nowt. That leaves Hearts and us. Both to get group stage football. If we get what we want (money and CL*), it will be very difficult. Hearts will be doing well to be competitive and pick up anything. * CLGS qualification does come with a 4pt. co-eff. bonus (equivalent to 2 wins) ------------------------ The Motherwell result is flagged up as a surprise, it isn't. Have a look back at our provincial sides in Europe this past decade or so. Ron Gordon may have the right ambition but the truth is that he can't run his own football club in a professional manner. He needs to look closer to home first and get a handle on the day to day of the Scottish game, a depressing reallity........ He is right that things need to change but that would need to start with changing things from the top.
