  1. As the inevitable transfer speculation (in and out) starts to pick up speed we should remember where the real problems ly regards the football. There are many who camp themselves in either anti-board or anti-football mgmt. This doesn't make sense to me because if the board aren't going to act in a serious way to address the root of the footballing problem, that makes them part of the same problem that many pro-boarders seem to focus in on.
  2. He is and has been nothing more than a tool in the pockets of those who are in and behind the various incarnations of sp.iv controlled boards. How can you take the preaching of a man seriously who was pro-Green, Stockbridge, Ahmad et al and now preaches in favour of those who blame the same. Not forgetting that the current board had given high praise towards the likes of Stockbridge in their AGM electioneering. It's one thing a punter making a mistake but how can a self-proclaimed 'visionary' do the same and hope to maintain credibility amongst any apart from his unconditional 'fans'. He helps steer a campaign of spin that generally the same groups and individuals consume and helps prevent them from asking awkward questions. This particular piece is a slant aimed moreso at the middle ground to try and help them reconcile the fact Richard Gough is supporting efforts against the board. IMO McMurdo in all his guises (see webpages) comes accross as a slippery customer, eg. a PR consultant (spin-doctor) or a Super Abundance preacher. Note. That since his financial abundance schemes became more well known amongst the support he has modified his "offer".
  3. The board occasionally talk the talk but next to never walk the walk. The board cannot have serious aspirations wrt football and propose to keep the current footballing management team in place. Nor can they apply an expensive plaster (DoF or equivalent) and expect anything but more of the same or confrontation that goes no-where. The truth is that the board have other priorities.
  4. That sentence helps crystalise where we are at present. Elsewhere I started a thread 12-18 months ago on how it may in the near future be possible to look at Newcastle Utd and get a relative idea of what will be on the Ibrox menu in many different areas. I still think that this may be the case if things drift. Wrt on the pitch, it would be the ongoing management of a lowering of expectation levels in conjunction with money that is to be made available.
  5. "Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." George Orwell The financial abundance preacher who doesn't come cheap is spinning a line for all he is worth.
  6. There is still more than 30 minutes to equalise...............the obvious risk is losing a second as we push more men forward. A 94th minute equaliser would be sweet.
  7. IIRC the actual case is early next year.
  8. Difficult to comment on a case where tweets is all you have to go on. Hopefully the full written verdict will get out into the internet. Going by the tweets most of the case being put forward by the club didn't seem to be backed up by much other than basically asking the judge to have confidence in what was being said. We have seen this at times to be problematic, eg. the 2.5M unsecured loan facility made available in the audited accounts published in October 2013 which seemed to have vaporised come the time it was required.
  9. HT: 0-0 We need a goal or the last quarter becomes deep defence with not much time to get one back in the case of conceeding.
  10. Well there you go. I suppose at least SDM/Lloyds got their money !!
  11. Aye, who or what mechamism would determine price ?
  12. I think it means more shares (currently in reserve so to speak) being sold on the market or rather offered to existing shareholders. Forlan can possibly tidy up detail.
  13. But meanwhile they enjoy the sound of the ST tills clicking (No credit cards).
  14. Wasn't his job title COO (operating officer) and mostly to do with finance.
  15. Alasdair Lamont ‏@BBCAlLamont 8 min To clarify, Mr Summers meant inst. inv would take up pre-emptive equity release rather than provide loans.
  16. Interesting turn of phrase.
  17. Curious figures to be "satisfactory" GW arrival............... 42p Day of Review.........21p Has "rebounded" to 22p
  18. It's all consuming moveable feast that has seen much cash move out the door and most of the board looking like they should cut down on the feasting.
  19. Have you been writing the statement of Mr.Nash or/and have you found SDM's lost 'waiting list' ?
  20. Will the judge be impressed with spin ??
  21. You'd think Rangers were inviting an arrestment by saying there was presently enough money to remain solvent even with the 620K arrested without apparently making a forceful and convincing argument why given circumstances that they think they will have enough funds to see the club through the season ?
  22. I take it of the money alreay in the coffers. part will be used to pay back the short-term loans as per contracts.
