  1. DB should be put out to grass or he could do auditions for a one man prematch Cheerleader Act. More realistcally, he could wear a sandwich board and walk up and down Edmiston Drive sending out the message that "The Omnishambles is HunkyDory".
  2. The main difference is that our company/club is a complete Omnishambles from the boardroom to the deressing room. However it does work for the beneficiaries of the Multi-Layered Gravytrain. The support can continue to fund the gravytrains and cheer if they so wish but don't go off on a trip of wonderous surprise when fans get fed-up and voice their concerns.
  3. It's a puff 'feel good' piece. What shouldn't be confused is KM's ambition to win a top tier title and the present reallity that says he won't. The piece would like you to forget the reallity and a whole load of other things, then go buy a ST.
  4. I think one of the main problems with the human brain is that is increasingly easy to get past the 'firewall' and influence thought process and mindsets. This is partly because of developments in 'piracy techniques' and indeed a business sector that devotes itself to this. ie. the problem isn't the quantity (full hard drive) but the independence and quality.
  5. So given your apparent ongoing opinion of GS' output, are you saying that you knowingly churn out posts that aren't objective but are placed intentionally to achieve some kind of balance? As if you saw a logic of two wrongs somehow making a right. Perhaps all those decades are taking their toll
  6. Having an experienced keeper as back-up may or may not prove to be important, dependent on future events that are unknown. Three main issues arise 1. Budget / Salary 2. Dundee Utd cup-tie showed SS not to be a guarranteed 'safe pair of hands'. 3. Development of youth I tend to agree that the signing policy generally reflects Ally's short-termist approach which is based in the 20th century and will take the club no-where, or rather will be unable to compete at the top end of the top tier given economic constriants. ie. Ally can spend his way through the divisions but will (if still in a job) be shown up next season when we are shown up to be clueless and skelped by Celtic.
  7. It smells of 0-0, but let's hope somebody takes a chance when it comes along so as we get a reasonable game to watch. The Holland v Argentina match was desperately negative with the fear of losing upermost in the players minds. Perhaps the Germans may be more positive which in turn would give the Argentinians more space. Over the years the 3rd place game has at least given us lots of goals. However, today's match is somewhat surreal after Brazil got hammered the other night and Van Gaal publicly rubbished it. ------------------------------------------------------- How the bookies view it Over 2.5 goals... (potential winnings for a tenner bet in pounds sterling) B v H..............................7/10... (7) A v G..............................6/4... (15)
  8. Is that part of an application to join the Rangers media team? If Mr.X landed on earth from Uranus and selected only your posts to read about affairs on and off field at Ibrox, he'd get the impression that things were hunkydory and looking good for the future. Whilst opinions are to a degree subjective, would that be an accurate impression for Mr.X to form?
  9. 1984:" Manipulating" in favour of whom?
  10. "Should the Club suffer a substantial decrease in season ticket income in the next two months, then it would be unable to trade in the short term without seeking additional external funding as previously disclosed in the RIFC December 2013 interim results. " ----- "The Club acquired a number of players in Summer 2013 that, based on financial forecasts, it should have known that it could not afford. " http://www.rangers.co.uk/images/staticcontent/documents/RangersBusinessReview.pdf "The board of Rangers (the "Board") can confirm that approximately 17,000 season tickets have been renewed to date for the Club's forthcoming SPFL Championship season. This level of renewals reduces the potential requirement for short term financing as highlighted in the Business Review Summary published on 25 April 2014 particularly given the updated season ticket pricing structure for the 2014/15 campaign." http://rangers.g3dhosting.com/regulatory_news_article/381
  11. Passed my mind that there may be a provisional plan to change the management team at some point before next season (15/16).
  12. Very possibly. We only have to wait for 3 weeks or so before we know if they'll appeal it.
  13. Fair enough but why not do that with Boyd who is worth 20+ goals in the top tier and has no significant injury history to speak of ?
  14. Yes, but I doubt that at this stage the HMRC have decided whether to appeal or not. They may have had a 'steer' regards 'first impression' but that wouldn't correspond with what AH said. I'd also mention that AH isn't a habitual guest on TV and is more liable to have taken a flyer to support her argument. That said, the people you mention along with Roy Greenslade, Paul Holleran etc..... have of course been active regards Rangers and their telephone/e-mail records over the past couple of years (if at GCHQ) would be interesting to listen to/read.
  15. Fair enough, aslong as we remember where the main problems ly.
  16. Two years opposed compared to what was becoming a standard 12 months. Thoughts ?
  17. Media coverage during the ongoing saga has been characterised by ignorance, bullshit, a lack of 'homework', a lack of budget, willingness to publish copy as given to them by spindoctors. etc, etc. There were times I felt like throwing my computer out of the window when the likes of Dodds and Spiers conversed on corporate matters. This has definately helped to keep the support confused and divided.
  18. I doubt very much that she knows that HMRC will appeal or not. It came out because it helped her delivery and efforts to sound convincing to a neutral/uninformed audience. This was one of the things I referred to earlier in the thread.
  19. Generally, media coverage of what is a complex and ongoing soap opera at Ibrox has been sub-standard and inadequate regards informed and unbiased comment. This more than anything has been damaging for our support in that confusion has been the constant order of the day and has worked in favour of those in and around the Rangers boardroom. Wrt BBC Scotland in particular, I think it worth mentioning how some of their reporters have been consistently used by Jack Irvine/MH. In particular Chris McLaughlin and Alaisdair Lamont. It's one thing getting 'exclusives', it's quite another being complicit in putting out misleading information or favourable coverage on publicly funded national radio/TV. eg. 2012/McLaughlin/Naqvi......... and.......... 2013/Lamont/AGM/'not worth voting'
  20. edit. Transferred to another more apt thread.
  21. What is 'pathetic', is the tone of your posts on this matter. I've wrote on another thread as to what I think of the 7 minute clip and how it was covered by BBC Scotland.
  22. Do you do 'stand-up' ?
  23. Craig Houston isn't representative of our support because he has actually got up and done his best to act against those who are taking advantage of owning our club for their own ends. Your post is inaccurate, unconstructive and representative of one of the main problems our support has had for some years now.
