  1. I don't know if I'm alone but I'm curious as to how you came up with your username. Was it something to do with choosing the wrong buxom maiden from down South ?
  2. In an ideal world you would have loked to: - move Peralta on for a nominal fee - look for another club to take on Black's contract with the inevitable part pay-off - farm McCulloch out to pasture and seeing as he's such a Bear ask him to forgo the last year of his contract, Clyde ? - ask around if any club would take Hutton, even on loan - Look to use Crawford and Law more effectively - Play McLeod in the centre
  3. The first time I encountered Jesus was when I saw a badge with......... 'Jesus saves but Parlane nets the rebound'. So I've grown up with with the thought that if Jesus had the audacity to save a Parlane penalty then he must be on tuther side and not very effective. Send this Rev. a new badge..................."Jesus wasnae a Sp.iv"
  4. One of the main attractions for players to come to Ibrox has obviously been money. We have been a club famed within the world of agents for overpaying a player, relative to his ability. If Rangers are offering much reduced contracts, expect less players to say "yes". Getting better value for money would be a plus and a step forward if the cash saved wasn't going out on 'onerous contracts' and way OTT salaries of training team, some players and the CEO.
  5. Anyone who believes in the 'bigman sat up in the clouds' scenario hasnae got a chance when the three spi.vs come calling laden with copious bullshit, more spin and donations for the roof. Out of Touch or Complicit. If OOT, why preach on the matter ?
  6. In more ways than one
  7. Kenny, perhaps the coaching staff could up their game aswell.
  8. It's horribly pathetic and sad. Over the years the division has been nutured by spin-doctors, this has only gone to encourage such behaviour.
  9. I said last December when this was first mooted by Somers, that the board would look for it to help marginalise and divide 'awkward fans groups'. The AGM saw the spi.vs get executive control (except for the 75% vote on Res.10). They want and need to gain more control over the revenue stream and it's 'advertised opinion'. Day by day I get further away from where I once stood. It isn't the Rangers I grew up with, nor for that matter is todays football the game I grew up with. Have to say I feel for the young generation who have invested emotionally in the club.
  10. I'm afraid we won't. The nearest we could get is an outstanding youngster with potential who is sold before we know whether he will realise promise.
  11. In the wider world, you are wrong regards criticisms and I was posting on the matter (FF) as it unfolded. I think he is in a privileged place regards commenting on such matters. You can chose to ignore him as eg. many did before when he was commenting on Green. It's another matter regards direct involvement. The 'long' in long-running soap opera has been fed by propaganda, fog and ensuing serialy bad judgement calls from the support in general.
  12. That post doesn't appreciate and therefore take into account the politic's of the matters involved. MM was fighting a battle within the parameters of good corporate goverence against liars who collectively rode roughshod over him. However it should be noted that despite efforts to the contrary, MM outlasted both CG and IA. He also prevented Daniel Stewart being appointed as Nomad prior to the IPO. I would agree that in the media he has of occasion not been politically correct or has he always came accross 'perfectly'.................. Very few have within the ongoing soap oprea. I would also agree that he shouldn't be directly involved regards the board in the short-term.
  13. Bunkum & Balderdash A business has to set a budget and live within it's means at all levels. In the case of Rangers, we all know about the financial difficulties, the onerous contracts, the cashflow problems etc. The very first thing that GW did back on the 20th of November 2013 was sign what in essence is a short-term onerous contract that didn't correpond favourably to the finances of the business. Your line about being judged on how well he does should in a sensible prudent world, be reflected in his contract with a need to see tangible results before renumeration reached the dizzy heights they are. Without that or specific triggers for the the main bonus clause what we have seen is empty corporate speak attempting to mask Corporate Goverence (CG) that is more a Charles Green/Daniel Stewart sponsered circus show. Unemployed and never before an CEO, who would climb into the same bed with such a show, give them supposed credibility, have the occasional spat...........only IF he were to get sackfuls of cash for his trouble. A man who came to sort out the problems only if he could continue the 'bonus culture', for having to continue the bullshit culture in the most corporate of language. After recent history, your approach to this is like continuous burning of twenty pound notes. You better be careful or you'll be getting an approach to be on the board for any new fans membership scheme.
  14. I think there is an obvious issue here that is somewhat self-inflicted. Some say that the quality of food on offer may be a reason for the renowned and discerning West of Scotland palate to hesitate somewhat. However I'd point to the goverence surrounding this matter and ensuing lack of transparency involved that are probably more relevant in the thoughts of would-be voters. To clarify, potential voters and dinner guests observe your seeming approval of a board of directors who mistakenly think Corporate Goverence is 'optional' and that they'll pass. It follows that doubts must form as to your personal standards. Regarding transparency, the second option to vote for doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Indeed it may turn out to be an opportunity for someone who opened the restaurant "Somewhere Else". :laugh2: ps. I'm overseas or I'd have joined you.
  15. Aye, they should change to the Scottish diet...........similar but without the feet.
  16. Has Kris put weight back on now he is back at Rangers, or is a 'bad angle/stance' ?
  17. Needed two takes. Thought it was a punter (ie.full kit walloper) then realised it was Kris Boyd
  18. Blind loyalty has always been an achilles heel for our support and it's been played upon for all it's worth. The support have been 'played' for many years by spinning professionals with mind-sets, confusion and division uppermost. I can imagine pre-2011, when SDM was talking to Irvine with or about CW and ensuing conversations between Irvine and other incoming sp.ivs that the Toxic Spinner would crack a joke when he descibed how easy it was to 'play' the Rangers support. ---------------------------------------------------------- Just a thought, imagine there was truly a lot of positives in and around Ibrox opposed to an Omnishambes. How would our German poster DB, be able to contain himself given how he perceives an omnishambles ?
  19. Ally is the Emperour in his 'birthday suit',......most of us know but don't want to say. He was and may well still be the highest paid manager in Scotland but if you put managers into leagues for relative performance, he'd be in the 3rd or 4th tier. It's often said that it's just aswell Ally has been there to keep the sp.ivs in check. That doesn't wash, on the whole he's been useful for the sp.ivs (especially ST's2012) and has only really came out against individuals once they were 'finished'. He's on a very lucrative gravytrain (including 1M 1p shares/sametime as selling ST's) that doesn't relate to where we have found ourselves or how we perform and the eventual 'halfing of salary' is apparently deferred (still due). Ally loves Rangers but he is in it for the money, lots of it. So, let's be brutally honest. - He's not good at his job. - He has and is being paid 'spectaculary'. - He is often used as a propaganda conduit opposed to speaking out when HE thinks it right.
  20. Making SDM the centre of these pieces crys of a propaganda push from Murray to 'clear his name' which doesn't wash. McCoist once again is the willing messenger, perhaps he should think more about running a football team.
  21. Thank's for taking the time to run this Zappa !
  22. My reply was general and had no direct relevance to the pre-season in general or any game in particular.
