  1. We were obviously playing some fantastic stuff a year ago with as fluid a middle to front as has been seen in world football and then it suddenly went wrong as entertainment value slumped. As Mr.Hemdani says it's little wonder there has been such a sudden drop in STs. .............
  2. The 'old' never left although the dynamic changed somewhat and has produced another split of sorts on various issues.
  3. The root of those circumstances needs to be addressed, not ignored. I'd have thought after your longrunning blindspot with Green&Co you'd be keen to look or analyse situations in a more comprehensive manner.
  4. I guess the 5M at the press of a button goes down on the long list under, 'fob them off bullshit'. Misleading public statement from Wallace ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember this is to keep the lights on and wouldn't be enough to get through the season. As for the 20-30M needed for acting on the 'business review'........where is this coming from ? And if it isn't then what are the revised projections regards the football operation ?...Or perhaps for other events. Remember the football club (TRFC) already has a large debt, will RIFC swap it for Ibrox ?
  5. CL gets more repetitive as every year goes by and it's very much the odd game in the group stage that is worth watching.
  6. As I said in the second post of this thread the media will always try and push this type of supposed controversy because it makes for easy journalism with many consumers anxious to jump on the bandwagon. I don't know if it were poor planning as the circumstance was very forseeable. It may or may not have simply been an imperfect but acceptable outcome for those involved.
  7. That's all fine and well but I think it more relevant to consider the particular circumstances you are dealing with rather than general studies. I'd have thought that people with "higher intelligence" will vary their outlook dependent on circumstances.
  8. It's been a complicated political game in the background for a number of years that has often had Jack Irvine pushing and pulling levers for the benfit of those signing his cheques. What you have now is a more sceptical landscape for Irvine or similar to 'play his games' which tends to make one think that he or similar will have to change tact. On one hand you have the proposed membership scheme that was first conceived by Rangers when Irvine was very much at the centre of the communications strategy. On the other there are other possibilities that I'm reluctant to go into at the moment until I can firm them up at least a little from the 'possibility' stage............... I always try to get to 4, not 5 and at the moment I don't know. As the person who first put the 'Toxic' beside Jack.....I've been on his case and others like him for a while
  9. Sometimes things aren't always as they seem. Whether that could apply at least in part to the above or not, we'll have to think about.
  10. The long and the short of it is that there doesn't exist a way of seeding that isn't exempt of flaws. If seeding has to be employed in this case, I don't see as unreasonable the use of league positions. The fact that we are 23rd is a fact and we as a club simply have to deal with such. Although in the end we got to 8th because of circumstances.
  11. Blue Pound is now divided between club and sp.ivs. Effectively we are paying a 'spi.v tax'. ps. this thread and it's constant posting is like being on FF
  12. Enough folk and a comprehensive enough conversations to be able to state in such a categoric manner........ BH "IMHO most of those who have not renewed have taken the position of being selective because of the poor quality of football on show and many of those who cite the Board etc as their reason are using this as an excuse to hide the real reasons which are the lack of quality/poor tactics/duff opposition etc." ........must have spent a fair few days at it.
  13. The problem within our situation is that 'optimisim' is exploited and you tend to get 'ripped off'. I could better understand it or see the case you make if our club hadn't suffered the way it has over the past few seasons. ' Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me' Blind Loyalty + Spin = (or can produce) False Optimism that is Exploited
  14. IMO, the trait you mention comes under "not very bright". In situations such as ours you deal in realism or you might aswell give your bank details to the sp.ivs. Surely we should have learnt our lessons by now.
  15. You tend to see it's the same people and IMO that points to one of two things. - Not very bright. - An agenda of sorts (encompasses various possible angles) A spade is a spade and sometimes it needs called as such.
  16. Regards this type of decision, the base problem with the board and those who are close to it, is that their main motivation isn't the football club. The disagreements between different parties in and around the board further complicates the situation. For those who may want to take action regards the football operation, they then come up against a cash problem.
  17. Whilst you chase rainbows, your own house may get burgled.
  18. It's not flawed, 23rd represents our league position (ie. 23rd in Scottish Football in 2013/14) and is how they have been seeding the competition for years. ps. Bert Kassie doesn't work for the SPFL:)
  19. Perhaps the time you are looking "beyond the fence" prevents you from seeing what is in your own 'backyard'. Bear in mind that: We have the highest paid manager in Scottish Football. The best training facility in Scottish football. The second highest budget on the playing squad. More International players than all but one other club. Comes back to being a badly run club at all levels and you don't fix it by looking over a fence.
  20. That is quite a claim to make, even for you. Perhaps you are making a judgement based on how you with all your related experience cheered on Charles Green& his mysterious backers whilst they 'robbed' and set-up 'onerous contracts'. I'd venture that many have learnt from bitter experience and this has shaped their current outlook and decision-making regards the club. They also still see many of the mysterious backers and other names in the background loading up their wheelbarrows........Perhaps it isn't unreasonable to assume that many are fed up with part of their Blue Pound sailing off on an onerous journey. If the lack of spend were down to mainly football reasons then why the sudden fall this summer ?
  21. That kind of attitude is what has traditionally made it easy for Rangers to under achieve throughout the club whilst playing in a footballing backwater and it also made it much easier for the sp.ivs to be welcomed instead of chased. Regards sp.ivs, any opportunity or timely act was therefore missed as we instead layed out the red carpet for the robbing bastards. Being patient and accepting whatever was thrown at us is your right but some may want more. It was one thing when it was mainly the football operation but now we can add the boardroom and the diversion of a percentage of the revenue which threatens the club itself. But if you want to be patient and see if the sp.ivs leave anything behind, fine. I do take the point that there is a limited amount we can do and that because of Blind Loyalty, Patience and an addiction to Spin we find ourselves where we are today. A double barrelled, rudderless Omnishambles with both RIFC and TRFC.
  22. As you yourself say, I think there are better indicators as to the form of a club in a given moment. The co-efficients represent 5 years historic data at a time when squads and managers change frequently. Perhaps a co-efficient for a 2 year period would be better taken alongside the up-to date record and situation. Last night for example, Celtic, despite a reasonable 5 year co-efficient rating looked what they are. A team with no cutting edge that is in transition...... with a manager who doesn't seem to be flavour of the month in the dressing room, never mind amongst the support.
  23. We have a double barrelled, rudderless Omnishambles with both RIFC (month at a time) and TRFC (match at a time). Rudderless may be a little inaccurate in that some have plotting a course but it isn't for the benefit of Rangers.
