    They haven't been arrested and it is too early to say. 'Gratuitous alienation' has been speculated on in the past. A transfer of property by a debtor to another person for no consideration or for an inadequate consideration.     Within the four named by The Scottish Sun, Grier would seem to provide the link which spans both the sale of Rangers in 2011 and the purchase of assets in 2012. All continues to be speculation but if the two court appointed administrators are helping Police Scotland with their enquires it gets interesting and you wonder about the actual transaction where Green&Co bought the assets.

    It was Sir Duped of Murray who for some reason allowed CW to takeover the club, ignoring concerns raised by the Independent Board Committee and an alternative offer. Apparently the bank strongly advised SDM on this course of action. The SFA and it's regulations at that point puts the onus on the club to do the due diligence. After BBC Scotland revealed a previous directorship ban on CW in October 2011, the SFA wrote to CW/Rangers but I don't believe ever received a satisfactory reply from CW/Rangers. There were no accounts or AGM in 2011.

    Grier is an important link throughout. IIRC, author (whilst with bank) of the floating charge for Sir Duped in 1999 Advisor to CW pre and post takeover (2010/11) Partner of MCR taken over by Duff and Phelps He was present at the meeting (Charlotte Square, Edinburgh) during the administration process that saw Clark and Whitehouse speak to SDM and McGill.

    You might be too late. I reckon 'interested and opportunist parties' might have already put down a deposit, or at least tried to. There is a market for them and you'd imagine they'll be going cheap (if they're selling).

    Yes, it makes more sense that this would at least come first. Police Scotland were looking at the 2012 purchase of assets aswell but I don't know if they continue to do or not.

    There is a simple order of play that many would see as reasonable. 1. Meaningful Transparency and Reasonable Questions fully answered. 2. Degree of Trust and Engagement 3. React to Events (not spin), if positive then things get better, trust increases etc. Step one requires meaningful engagement, not spin based on the size of a bank account.

    Jim went very public with his backing for the CG&Co purchase of assets and echoed the Irvinesque 'partyline' back in June 2012. So he was either a bad judge with a frontline seat or happy to tow the party line for whatever motive. I've head many mention that he can be very helpful with the day to day business but it would seem if any role or influence he may have within the 'political' isn't always so constructive for the longterm interests of the club.

    Well put Frankie ! If you boil it down, it's all about dividing the 'spoils'.......... .............and doing the arithmetic/corporate jiggery pokerey, that looks for a way of keeping the gravytrain on the tracks at our expense and for their benefit.

    It'll be interesting to see where they end up if Burton remove them from their shops.

    It's easier and more pleasent to listen with hope, to tales of a billionaire than to look deeply and with realism, into a nest of vipers. To hope, one should be able to Trust. At this point in time, I see no good reason why one would 'hope' with such force that was strong enough to dismiss doubt. At this point in time, the situation in front of us points to the sensible road being doubt/vigilance. It shows a continued lack of transparency, an unwillingness to engage or address the serious questions.
