  1. I think you have to go back further and to the alleged threat from the bank (direct or via agent) that they would force insolvency if the CW deal wasn't signed.
  2. Going forward, I think this is a may be a more relevant and productive direction to look in. ie. looking at any info any of us may have or be able to find out about how Ashely/Llambias went about things at Newcastle United, including the thread topic.
  3. I think this is the only conclusion one can reach after reading the 'authoritive posts' from Barca72 that contained such 'significant and relevant research'.
  4. Not only don't you forget what you never knew but now you know something about me that I'm as yet unaware of. Your some machine..............."Vorsprung durch Technik" !! . Perhaps you could enlighten me.
  5. That one line enboldened above shows that you never really knew, what you say you don't forget. There is no simple longterm solution and your lack of respect towards others compounds your dupability.
  6. All three have one thing in common. That they got very well rewarded for their time on the multi-layered gravytrain where everyone are "big Rangers men". Obviously a very different narrative is behind each man and their time at Rangers.
  7. You seem to want to forget the Past and what led to this point when it would be more instructive for you to learn from it, regardless of your age. The past is serial gulibility that for some turns into stupidity when they refuse to learn lessons. The Present is an omnishambles at all levels and that has everything to do with what has gone by and the chancers that many supporters have backed blindly. It is also about police investigations that encompass periods when a substantial part of the current main shareholding block was in the building. The short to medium term Future is dark and it is only to what degree, that is to be determined. Perhaps you should respect supporters who are sick and scunnered of all the dishonesty and greed and have decided not to continue funding a dishonest omnishambles, they want transparency and the present incumbents don't deliver. They tend to respect the decisions of those who still attend.
  8. "Punch drunk" and/or scunnered and it will steer an increasing amount of people and perhaps their children away from Ibrox. 29,458 paid to watch the sad spectacle that was a home daw against Alloa, the lowest crowd for a League match at Ibrox for some considerable time, I'd think.
  9. The problem being that Ashely winning doesn't neccesarily mean Rangers winning. Too many supporters are once again getting behind an individual and not thinking about the club. Many of them have spent the Rangers soap opera in a serially duped state.
  10. Rangers are scheduled to play Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday the 20th of December and would surely want the AGM to take place prior to this date if there was no particular reason to delay it further. There has obviously been reason(s) for the accounts and AGM to have been delayed beyond October. If the Main stand at Ibrox is to be used again then they'll need X days to take things down and have it ready for the Livingston game., which would make the 16th or 17th as possibilities. If it were to be on the 17th, they don't have long to publish accounts and announce the AGM. Last year the AGM was announced on the 26th of November (letter dated 25th) for the AGM on the 19th of December which was 23 clear days of notice. If it were to be the 17/12/14 then the annoucement would need to be made by about the 24th of November, which is next Monday. If held at Ibrox, then the Monday following the Livingston game, the 22nd is possible but not desirable given it's proximity to Xmas and any work preparing the event may come at an increased price due to it being a Sunday. If it isn't announced by the middle of next week, I'd say they are probably struggling to get their ducks in a row.
  11. Yes, a picture is being painted rather than a case for the prosecution being prepared.
  12. You would probably have to ask Mike Ashely. His two consultants have been reviewing the situation at Ibrox with one of them now on the RIFC board and beginning to implement 'austerity measures', eg. 10 redundancies announced in the media yesterday. Scope would seem to be limited for drastic cuts due to a lack of money to fund them and that Nash & Wallace have already trimmed down what were probably the 'easiest' to make. So, it comes back to MA, a large sum of money, the going concern, the SFA, DK angle, other unseen factors/alternatives. GW talked of accounts in September or October. DS talked of a set date for the AGM that he couldn't reveal. Trying desperately to get their ducks in order with the faint noise of a distant chap on the door in the recent background.
  13. I think that is partly unfair. Scotland have been playing well under a manager who seems to be the right man in the right place at the right time. He has moulded a lot of fair to decent players into a team that produces more than the sum of it's parts. We are in a very difficult group but are digging out results and have given ourselves a fighting chance. Last night was a friendly, where a tired team came up against an England side that performed to a high level after a mediocre display on Saturday. I'm just glad that we got our priorities right and picked up the three points last Friday. There is a feeling of optimism around the national team that hasn't been there for years and whilst we recognise we aren't going to win the competition, there is no good reason to dismiss the progress since Strachan took over, nor the feel-good factor that presently exists.
  14. Maybe Sports Direct will take on some of the workload.
  15. Amazing to think that lad Robertson was playing for Queens Park less than 18 months ago ! England played well and it was alway going to be difficult to produce that level of intensity/performance, so soon after the Ireland game. We actually go off lightly with 1- 3. Gibraltar next and a good chance to ease our way back in to things next March.
  16. Interesting ! It's going to be about making things stick. A squealer is required. Wide experience essential with suitable evidence at hand a great advantage. Apply at a Polis station near you. You may or may not find that you are already on the shortlist.
  17. If, over a period of time, the board are too busy with their own 'projects' and don't seriously address the football operation then one day your on-field chickens come home to roost and/or begin to affect the 'projects'. The relative scale of Rangers compared to other lower league teams has kept the on-field issues at arms length or camouflaged the flaws. To varying degrees you could say this has been the case for more than one decade, but in recent times has been taken down to new levels.
  18. I think the term 'disconect' is accurate between many parts of the club* and inevitably leads to problems. Add the backstory of recent years and you have an Omnishambles. * Board Football mgmt Players Supporters Can you name one positive conection between parts ? ------------------------------------------------------------ The current example of what would be the opposite is Hearts. Where you have a strategy that comes from the boardroom and appears to be shared and supported throughout the club.
  19. You would have thought that given documented financial forecasts, associated warnings and lack of ST sales that the net dealings could be interpreted as irresponsible. Accounts and an indication of how the matter of going concern is being addressed may give us a better idea. Time is ticking for the publication of accounts, perhaps it'll be this week.
  20. Top Tip If you don't want to feel patronised or increase levels of anger at team & mgmt.performance then best to stay away from this type of article where it's like buttons getting pressed to ask and give time automated standard qustions & answers that should be in 'Viz'.
  21. To begin with, I wouldn't believe a word Green told me unless it was backed up although I understand that it is valid to go with it and speculate a little. As for the who would benefit the most logic, I´d agree to a point but mention that this soap opera has burnt a lot of people and logic has often failed us. Indeed it seems to have it´s own irregular logic that can never be properly measured due to an incomplete knowledge of the facts. I agree that on the face of it, MA seems to enjoy ´preferential treatment` considering the apparent size of his investment. From the summer of 2012 right up until the present with the headline terms extracted for the secured credit facility given. I´ve caught various unconfirmed allegations of Ashely knowing Green prior to 2012. Does anyone know any details of this ? We know of allegations concerning Jim Park introducing Green&Co to Ashely, which takes in another direction where we have to be caredful what we say.
  22. Rather than look at one result and performance, it's more illuminating to attempt to find out what has led to it and the prevailing mood. The sum of money spent related to performance and current state of the football operation doesn't reconcile. There has been a strategic failure that begins in the boardroom, eg. no IPO money went into footballing infrastructure that didn't back up their expressed aim to reduce player wages to 33% of turnover. Not forgetting that it seemed to take an 120 day business review to actually form a plan and think about bringing in a chief scout, although nothing happened and they brought up another spindoctor instead. Ally has been left to get on with things and he hasn't the capacity or ability to manage it beyond going from game to game, season to season trying to break a nut with a sledgehammer. Look at Hearts for a club that has sorted itself out and has organised itself from the boardroom downwards so as to prioritise the football operation and have everyone throughout the club buying into the way forward. This comes from a strategy regards ownership and what would seem to be a clear footballing operation strategy.
  23. Interesting to see that the date goes so far back regards alleged "incidents". We now have to be careful what we say because of the sub judice/contempt of court rules on what is termed 'live proceedings' (LP). They became LP once the arrests were made. Defence lawyers would gratefully accept examples of such.
