Yes, it was the manner of the defeat rather than the defeat itself that will have alarmed the club.

Has the boards left hand been introduced to the right hand???
buster. replied to Darthter's topic in Rangers Chat
Annoucements from RIFC are seldom clear and informative statements for the market. They have often been used to further mislead and confuse. Given the general MO and behaviour, we have grown used to expecting such even in market annoucements. -
Nae concert parties here. Funding and Representation from and for Letham, Park & Taylor. EGM may be called by Oasis (DK).

Group Of Celtic Fans Pay 3k For Advert In The Hearld
buster. replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Generally within the media, it'll be the Celtic support who suffer more from their own advert than their supposed target. Paying 3,000 to get further labelled 'obsessed internet crazies' isn't a smart move. -
Our main problem with the media for more than a decade, centres on it's exploitation by spindoctors to mislead, confuse and further divide our fanbase to an extent that we find it difficult to focus and bring our power to bare against those in the boardroom when necessary. Forget 'cabals', they tend to be a tool of the misleader.

Saw the last 15 minutes of the Southampton defeat and United were clueless and devoid of creativity or real intent. May end up struggling to qualify for the CL. --------------------------------- @OliverKayTimes: FT: Man Utd 0 Southampton 1. #MUFC 37 pts from 21 games. Exactly same as under Moyes last season. Fewer goals scored. "Philosophy" unclear Add XXXM pounds spent.

In an ideal world maybe, but we are in a much more difficult place which means a realistic and viable approach. There is also a time issue/constraint regards the transfer window. Our squad is good enough to get promotion but we need the club to start to believe in itself again and for a real change in management that inspires the current squad to play better football and earn better results.
-
Much of the damage is already done and realistically we can only hope to reach the 'play-offs' in better form, with a more coherent and effective way of playing football/getting results. To this end, the one variable that would need to be addressed immediately, is the first team management and coaching set-up.
-
You would have to ask them, but I doubt they'd be able to form any precise plans until they were to find out exactly how bad a situation they were going into and thereafter tweak/confirm plans of financing the way forward. At the moment, the priority is to get executive control.
-
The next moves for Park, Letham and Taylor seem to be looking like........ 1. Funding 2. Board Representation 3. EGM called Can we at last dare to hope for 'cleansing the boardroom'. It would be the start of another difficult and challenging journey but it would give us a chance.
-
The reason why it's always been such an important part of the sp.iv plan to confuse and divide.

A drunken Paul in his 50's would probably improve our central defence
-
If true, one of two positives out of that would be that the 'Bears consortium' recognise the need for a root and branch change. The second would be that the Magath stakeholding would be on 'our side'. The unknown variable would be the suitability of Magath to the role.

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
buster. replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
- Sarver comes forward offering tens of millions because his kids football coach Davie Robertson put him onto it. - Sarver said "I've had detailed research carried out on Rangers and I'm convinced that we could take it back to the top of the Scottish game on a stable and sustainable basis." - So after the detailed research he'll at least know about the scale of money required (beyond what he is offering), the onerous contracts, legacy issues and general uncertainty. Would you seriously be prepared to throw tens of millions at such uncertainty without full due diligence because your kids football coach told you about it ? ....and if he has had a look at the books, who gave the ok ? -
Good effort Zappa ! According to official site (although Crighton may have sold his) David Somers 61,186 0.08% Norman Crighton 96,222 0.12%

The above was published a few days ago. I'd like to ask how Mr Sarver managed to conduct due diligence (4th line) ? -

No, it's very much contextual given DB's record with vigilance. -

No, I'm not kidding. I'm making a point about vigilance and to you, pointing out that you used an AJ quote selectively to help paint a positive picture about Mr Sarver. As for the historic, I have often challanged your stance or thinking on various matters but this is a forum where people may disagree. For a change, try looking at it from the POV that you may be wrong and not that everyone is out to get you. -

Take the personal out of it and take on board what I am saying in relation to the post I first addressed. It's about promoting due vigilance and awareness. -

Are you seriously expecting anyone to pay any atention to what levels of vigilance you think are appropriate ? ... -

This soap opera has had it all. We even had court appointed administrators who criminal charges have been brought against. -

You are struggling again BH. If one refuses to learn from poor past performance then you are more liable to repeat your mistakes. I pointed out that your use of what AJ had to say was somewhat selective, unbalanced and without just qualification given the impression you painted. If you did this knowingly, then why ? -

You often point to historical track records and CV's wrt individuals involved or looking to be involved with Rangers but yet you pointedly ignore advice from someone with a 100% record in the relevant area. -

You don't mention that AJ said some other things about Sarver regards his approach to takeover Rangers. For your own benefit I would caution you on selective quoting from individuals wrt supposed 'suitors' of Rangers. Scepticism and vigilance should be the standard approach for Bears. After your own experiences of falling for bullshit from the boardroom, it might be wise to learn lessons.
