  1. If, over a period of time, the board are too busy with their own 'projects' and don't seriously address the football operation then one day your on-field chickens come home to roost and/or begin to affect the 'projects'. The relative scale of Rangers compared to other lower league teams has kept the on-field issues at arms length or camouflaged the flaws. To varying degrees you could say this has been the case for more than one decade, but in recent times has been taken down to new levels.
  2. I think the term 'disconect' is accurate between many parts of the club* and inevitably leads to problems. Add the backstory of recent years and you have an Omnishambles. * Board Football mgmt Players Supporters Can you name one positive conection between parts ? ------------------------------------------------------------ The current example of what would be the opposite is Hearts. Where you have a strategy that comes from the boardroom and appears to be shared and supported throughout the club.
  3. You would have thought that given documented financial forecasts, associated warnings and lack of ST sales that the net dealings could be interpreted as irresponsible. Accounts and an indication of how the matter of going concern is being addressed may give us a better idea. Time is ticking for the publication of accounts, perhaps it'll be this week.
  4. Top Tip If you don't want to feel patronised or increase levels of anger at team & mgmt.performance then best to stay away from this type of article where it's like buttons getting pressed to ask and give time automated standard qustions & answers that should be in 'Viz'.
  5. To begin with, I wouldn't believe a word Green told me unless it was backed up although I understand that it is valid to go with it and speculate a little. As for the who would benefit the most logic, I´d agree to a point but mention that this soap opera has burnt a lot of people and logic has often failed us. Indeed it seems to have it´s own irregular logic that can never be properly measured due to an incomplete knowledge of the facts. I agree that on the face of it, MA seems to enjoy ´preferential treatment` considering the apparent size of his investment. From the summer of 2012 right up until the present with the headline terms extracted for the secured credit facility given. I´ve caught various unconfirmed allegations of Ashely knowing Green prior to 2012. Does anyone know any details of this ? We know of allegations concerning Jim Park introducing Green&Co to Ashely, which takes in another direction where we have to be caredful what we say.
  6. Rather than look at one result and performance, it's more illuminating to attempt to find out what has led to it and the prevailing mood. The sum of money spent related to performance and current state of the football operation doesn't reconcile. There has been a strategic failure that begins in the boardroom, eg. no IPO money went into footballing infrastructure that didn't back up their expressed aim to reduce player wages to 33% of turnover. Not forgetting that it seemed to take an 120 day business review to actually form a plan and think about bringing in a chief scout, although nothing happened and they brought up another spindoctor instead. Ally has been left to get on with things and he hasn't the capacity or ability to manage it beyond going from game to game, season to season trying to break a nut with a sledgehammer. Look at Hearts for a club that has sorted itself out and has organised itself from the boardroom downwards so as to prioritise the football operation and have everyone throughout the club buying into the way forward. This comes from a strategy regards ownership and what would seem to be a clear footballing operation strategy.
  7. Interesting to see that the date goes so far back regards alleged "incidents". We now have to be careful what we say because of the sub judice/contempt of court rules on what is termed 'live proceedings' (LP). They became LP once the arrests were made. Defence lawyers would gratefully accept examples of such.
  8. ---------------------- sunday herald (@newsundayherald) Rangers police probe events after Green took over at club - in tomorrow's paper Think about Stockbridge and and our new director Llambias in above post and them both along with Leach in this weeks cosy get together.
  9. This isn't within the Police statement but STV have used this wording. "It is alleged that two 50-year-olds and two men aged 53 and 49 were involved in a fraudulent scheme to acquire the club." Would seem to darken the clouds above Clark and Whitehouse, if accurate and proven.
  10. And some think they might reverse the Green&Co purcahase of assets and the CW takeover
  11. There aren't many who are directly involved who have any character left to defame. Where is this from Zappa ?
  12. Impossible for me to say. If I were to speculate I'd say it's likely. I think it fairly safe to assume that investigations are ongoing and not restricted to direct events surrounding todays arrests. Our soap opera is so full of bad smells, it's difficult to say where they may spring from. Roddy Forsyth earlier withdrew a paragraph that pointed to SFO involvement connected to the IPO. Police certainly were (don't know if they still are) investigating the 2012 purchase of assets.
  13. I think I was getting carried with the 4 canaries but I don't think this will fall flat (ie. people will be getting charged)
  14. I think (hope) they'll have a fair bit on them and charges will be likely. They are perhaps waiting to see what the interviews turn up before deciding on what to charge them with.
  15. They have went in quite aggressively with the old dawn raid which suggests they didn't want to make it 'comfortable' or allow them time to destroy anything at home. A bit of disorientation, shock and keeping them seperate whilst interviewing may help efforts or is certainly designed to. With CW and his collection of evidence, I'm almost surprised some interested party hasn't indirectly tried to take him out the game although it wouldn't surprise me if Whyte had that eventuality covered.
  16. Watching Scotland has got interesting again. Kudos to Strachan.
  17. Tend to think what you suggest will be the case here. IIRC Roddy has shown before to have good sources when it comes to the investigative authorities in and around our soap opera.

  19. No, but neither does it say they didn't. During part of the period in question, the 120 day review was in progress and would have involved the trawling of much documentation. Stockbridge left his role in January. During the 120 days, they didn't seem to find the information on the share options that later surfaced.
