Naismith: Rangers fans have been treated 'appallingly'
buster. replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The amount of vitriol and hate that is poured out in the direction in SN is IMO wholly disproportionate with what actually happened and relative to what others have done within our long-running soap opera. -
Competition: Win an Official 2015 Rangers Calendar
buster. replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
A 'semi-erotic but tasteful' Rangers Ladies calendar might sell better amongst a certain sector of the support. -
Aye, go and take on the media.....that will save us [EDIT] Let's avoid the personal stuff towards fellow forum users, thanks. ~Z [/EDIT] Don't forget the Judas Blogger does Abundance Preaching aswell if you need some extra cash before Xmas. Too many of the players lost their discipline at Tynecastle and this reflects badly on the manager. One after another senior player, they gave the referee an opportunity to send them off. I don't think there is much respect or 'fear' there.

Ian Black - It's all about the money. Cash is King.

That along with his gambling against the club would cast him in a very unfavourable light. Any idea how the story came about, Frankie ? Black telling lies or media invention with Black complicity ? -
Is McCoist going to do the decent thing now?

A real and lasting solution will only be from the top, down. ie. The boardroom...........and that isn't easy. -

I think his approach to betting on our games gave an example of how he views Rangers, it's strictly business and that he's passing through with no emotional ties to the club. In some ways you have to salute his honesty in what he says in the article. If that is what he thinks, then he has told the reporter straight without any of the usual bullshit spin attached. At the sametime, I find what he says abhorent but confirmation of how todays society operates. Do they really call it all "progress" ? Part of the feeling against Black is down to him abusing the Trade Descriptions Act, being called a hardman but being made of chocolate and being part of a central midfield unit that has very little creativity, but then that is down to the manager. -

Thanks Steve. Now that you say that, I think someone mentioned it briefly on FF a few weeks ago, it might have been yourself. MA has been known to offer a loan in circumstances that he recognized he could take advantage of further down the road. There was a link posted (article) that in part detailed such a case. IIRC it had something to do with someone involved at JJB (or who later was), possibly as CEO. -

Ashely used to hire and fire managers at Newcastle but came to the view that it led to wasting a lot of money, paying off managers and bringing in new players for the next one. His financial strategy wouldn't work doing this, so he changed tack and went to the other extreme, a statement of intent, an 8 year deal for Pardew and an impervious, water off a ducks back reaction to calls for his head. He needed someone who was onside with what he wanted, someone who wouldn't rock the boat and would remain loyal to him, if not always the club. I don't disagree with sticking by your manager but you have to get the choice right. However, over and above that we need a board who have the long-term interests of the club as their priority. -

The 'secret' at Hearts isn't any particular individual.........although Ann Budge stakes a claim. It's on and off field strategies that everyone throughout the club is buying into and that seem to be functioning well. They have created a positive energy and momentum. Neilsen seems to be a good fit for his role within the footballing operation/strategy. Frankly, we are the opposite and have forced our way up the leagues by weight of wallet but no vision or credible strategy (other than for sp.ivs to fill wheelbarrows). It's no accident that the metro bank account is empty, 100M should have seen us in a strong position going forward. -

Ashely has the chance, I don't see him spending any money. Ashely is here to make money (net), not splash it. -
Is McCoist going to do the decent thing now?
buster. replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
First 20 minutes were excellent as expected BUT we have problems creating chances / taking those that come along. Main threat was always going to be at set-pieces. Smith was in partly for set-piece delivery with Moshni, McCulloch and Daly in the box. Sending off changed the game and allowed Hearts into it but they only dominated when Rangers eventually sagged. One of McCoist's main problems has been the lack of creativity when facing a semi-decent/organised defence and I recall the Brechin game from August 2012 with a central midfield of Black and Hutton and very few chances were created. Not much has changed. -

New King Statement: reveals Easdale email dialogue
buster. replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
We've been FC Omnishambles for years but then, some thought all was well and on course at various stages throughout. Much of the 'Soap Opera' aspect comes from or is controlled by those who run the communications/PR. From one side, it is partly designed to nuture the divide between supporters. As time passes and attendences go down, interest in the political becomes generally less intense except for actual news that stops you in your tracks such as the multiple arrests last week. In short, people start finding other things to do and reach a stage where they can't be bothered with the 'noise' or what seems to have become for many, the expensive, unenjoyable 'duty' of following Rangers. Still awaiting the accounts and the annoucement of the AGM, we come towards another dark crossroads. A football club that has gone through something in the region of 100M in two and a half years and have very little to show for it. Not even those "exceptional items", the car park or Edmiston House, which currently have charges lodged against them. -

Whether they 'officially knew' or not, their man on the inside certainly did. Investigations surrounding events are ongoing but they are following the evidence, the money (and going forward from the takeover, it involves a lot more than 18M) and apparently not Fullerton or Reid, however much you want to force the fit.

LBG knew where it was going, ie. an insolvency event and weren't going to allow an overdraft to build-up.

Comes down to the bottomline and loyalties, money can cloud reallity, or at least it's public face.

RPB, I'm simply not going to waste my time going down that road. As for no investigation thusfar, in the events leading up to the CW takeover, I believe you are wrong. The use of the term 'conspiracy theory' has been very successful for the authorities. Whether it be to disparage or discourage discourse, it often helps stifle healthy debate.

So I'm not allowed to point to reason or the fact that the authorities that have a lot of the evidence, BDO or Police Scotland haven't pointed in Rab's direction, nor I'd imagine the financial beneficiaries along the way but I need evidence. No, Rab needs evidence but If people want to keep an open mind that is up to them. Note I I tend to be very open minded on what are often disparagingly called 'conspiracy theories'. So my threshold is high and not like some, automatic. An aside The term 'conspiracy theory' was put forward in 1967 by the CIA, as a tool to discredit people and their message/theory, that was considered against the interests of the 'USA'.

The Judas Blogger plays his part in a co-ordinated attack that comes from the 'Easdale block' remit given to Toxic House. Whatever you think of DK, this is Rangers and it's indirect communication strategy. It demonstrates that Spin is greater than Transparency and that Division is in their interests.

He would need to state with some detail what his claim was and given the 'far-fetched' nature of it, then the onus would be on him to provide accompanying evidence.

5. Is promoting 'division' and little more. Sustained attack on DK over the past 12 hours from Toxic House. Including the Sir Duped article.
