Football and that includes UEFA and FIFA is first and foremost, a vehicle for commercial activity. However there are rules, regulations, laws and moral lines that the relevant authorities shouldn't allow to be crossed. Apart from the questionable methodology or route that may yet be examined closely by authorities followed by actions. Ashley appears to want to push a macro MO of controlling a financially distressed football club by debt and creaming off the retail and commercial revenues. If he can pull it off, I wonder if he intends to repeat this with other clubs.

The role of Easdale is mainly a front and IMO the real power behind proxy block decisions/strategy comes from within proxy block. A good part of this block have probably been involved since the beginning, I'd say certainly those with the power. Their main goals are protecting their own interests which will include onerous contracts put in place back in 2012 and preventing forensic accounting that seeks to expose wrongdoing.

That's a given, this is more about newspaper sales and clicks.

Did Ashley really want those shares ? His MO is to get as much commercial and retail value/revenue out of us as possible but at the mimimum of cost. Providing loans is power and he also gets his money back. If the SFA were prepared to call him out on an obvious MASH Holdings breach in the agreement they had with Ashley, they now appear like their bluff has been called and the insipid leadership have kicked the can down the road hoping it will all go away.

North Korea v Burma would be dawdle compared to this. Don't sing X, Y and Z Don't take flags or banners Don't offend anyone Don't drink etc. Accept being treated like a human behaviour experiment (HBE) for a regime who are good at removing civil liberties on the quiet. A HBE that includes discrimination within legislation against football supporters compared to some other sports. Oh and in this experiment we don't pay you, you pay.

The following is an excellent CRO piece on KBA which provides further information. http://www.thecoplandroad.org/2014/09/what-was-mike-ashleys-preferred-pr-firm.html#more What Was Mike Ashley's Preferred PR Firm Invoicing Rangers For? A PR firm which acts for Mike Ashley at Newcastle has invoiced Rangers for fees despite doing no obvious work for the club. Keith Bishop Associates (KBA) are closely linked to Ashley and list Newcastle Utd as a client on their website. It is understood that Charles Green claimed to Ibrox staff that KBA were retained as part of the Sports Direct retail deal. The invoice below, along with others over what is believed to have been an initial 16-18 month deal, was received by perplexed Rangers employees who queried it. They were told by then Finance Director, Brian Stockbridge, that invoices from KBA had to be paid despite no explanation being provided about what work KBA had done for Rangers. After Charles Green left the club, Stockbridge was instructed to travel to London to terminate the contract with Keith Bishop but Stockbridge returned with the contract still in place. Sources have told CRO that Club employees were disgusted that at a time when costs were being cut all over, and people were losing their jobs, these invoices were taking money out of already stretched budgets. KBA were invoicing at a time when Jack Irvine's Mediahouse were also retained by Rangers as expensive PR consultants. There is no suggestion that Ashley himself received money from the deal but the employment of KBA was linked to the Sports Direct deal which Charles Green agreed with Ashley. Newspaper reports in recent days have claimed that Ashley was handed the naming rights to Ibrox by Charles Green for only £1 and it also now appears that Ashley has full control of all of Rangers Retail operations after the club shops were absorbed by Sports Direct. It appears unlikely that the deal with Sports Direct will net the club nearly as much as the previous retail deal with JJB, which was also heavily criticised as being undervalued. Rangers fans are likely to be further concerned that this PR firm linked to Ashley could have received payments in the region of £10,000 a month despite most people at Ibrox having no idea what, if anything, they did for club. It is not clear if KBA are still receiving money from the club or if the contract has now run its course.

Good to see some of the past Llambias involvement with Rangers being spelled out. Not forgetting, the man who over 2 years ago signed off those invoices for KBA (non-existant PR) was the same man who Llambias entertained only a couple of months ago at the 5 star Mar Hall Hotel, one Brian Stockbridge. Stockbridge who at the time of signing off the mysterious KBA invoices (there was a contract in place) was not only RIFC Finance Director but also represented Rangers (alongside Green) on the Rangers Retail board.

Extraordinary circumstances often require an extraordinary response. Our club is teetering on the brink of completely losing it's soul to Sports Direct and the Ashley MO. If it tipples over that cliff, then shares won't have the same emotional value. It would be an empty shelll of a club that is going no-where and will exist to service onerous contracts.

I'd prefer the likes of Lambias and the Leach to fcuk off and take their lies with them. They not only shouldn't be there (SFA rules/agreement) but they are furthering the interests of Sports Direct at the expense of Rangers*. Cutting back every last cost could be understood if it wasn't an attempt to allow SD to be able to cream off as much as possible. You mistake your 'enemy'. * They are directors of TRFC and Rangers Retail Ltd aswell as RIFC

Kenny McDowall opens up on the Nacho Novo row and insists: "I was only doing what the board ordered me to" http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kenny-mcdowall-opens-up-nacho-5060509 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Kenny McDowell in one line has already destroyed the RIFC board statement on Novo. Q. When do you know the RIFC/TRFC boards lie to us ? A. Whenever they open their mouths (actual or electronic). It has been plain for a longtime that the board hold us in utter contempt but they seem to get more brazen with the passing of time. -------------------------------------------------- Novo on twitter @nnovo1010: they are unreal liars but even worse using Fernandos name as a excuse is disgusting me , idiots

Thank's Pete ! I tried to contact a Newcastle fan a few months ago from a contact address in a fanzine of some kind (IIRC 'The Mag') but didn't get a reply. I'll look to try a bit harder this time. As for the username, it may well have come from the Newcastle reference but my memory couldn't swear on it. In fact, when I think about it....it was back at the end of 2012 when I first tried to get info from Newcastle messageboards and there is a thread on the subject from that time on FF.- 12 replies

Going back to the beginning of what we know, why would greedy low life sp.ivs handover half the retail rights with control over finance and the stadium renaming rights for a pound ? Why would Llambias be sent up to help Green sell a 'potential deal' that would bring in 'lots of money' when the deal had already been done for a pound coin between Ashley and the Green 'consortium' ? Why would Stockbridge sign off on KBA invoices (Llambias involved in Keith Bishop PR) for services unknown back in December 2012 ?

IMO I think any peaceful protests need to put into question the wider Ashley MO as being representative of much of what many think is wrong with UKPLC aswell as potential and more direct effects to the SD turnover. There is a window prior to the parlimentary questions that Ashley may have to face, always taking into account that we are in an election year.- 12 replies

There are other possible avenues that could be explored in an attempt to widen any action, off the top of my head............ 1. Are there any similar likeminded Newcastle Utd groups ? 2. ex- USC employees 3. Protesters re. Zero hours contracts. 4. General potential protest groups who dislike the style of corporatism employed by Ashley. 5. Attempt to carry momentum and focus general social/economic discontent on SD/MA.- 12 replies

Well done on this Frankie and to all others who sent the RFB their concerns on the executive management of RIFC/TRFC. Not forgetting the RFB themselves for choosing to represent the Fans rather than protect others. We await reaction

The Douglas Park statement helps clarify facts and re-enforces strong doubts over the board acting in all of the RIFC shareholders interests. Rather, that they are there to protect and enhance the interests of Sports Direct/Mike Ashley.

Absolutely,......They can choose FAN representation or Corporate interests protection (even in silence). The elephant in the room being that those Corporate interests aren't even in favour of Rangers. -
Good effort GD ! I'm reminded of the party that those involved with the CW takeover had in London back in June 2011. Like them, you can imagine those presently involved laughing in our faces. That e-mail from Shackleton is basically taking the pish.

Hope you don't mind but have quoted your OP and advanced the idea to FF. -
What is important IMO is any legal advice received regards 'related party transactions' etc and how that may or may not influence matters going forward.

Although I think the RFB have been set-up/designed so as not to be able to trouble the RIFC boardroom on such political matters, it comes down to the individual representatives, how strongly they feel about the ongoing executive management and the volume of feedback they receive, especailly the extraordinary situation where the board of RIFC seem to be more interested in SD interests. As a fans board, they face a similar question of potential conflict. Do the Rangers FANS board decide to represent the majority fan opinion or will they be more interested in protecting RIFC(SD) interests? Extraordinary circumstances may require an 'extraordinary response'. -
Yes, you'd expect statements from various people/groups but you'd also expect that they'd need time to consider their initial response carefully.
