For some it is more comfortable to embrace the tapastry of lies or the grey mist of "cannae prove it !" because they are the foundation for a series of judgement calls they have taken over the last few years. Unfortunately, they don't seem to learn from previous mistakes.

Llambias alongside Green, the men who sold the idea of renaming the stadium rights to fansgroups talking about large sums of revenue and buying players when the deal had already been done for a pound coin................... ...............is starting to follow in the footsteps of Green, the serial liar. Don't forget the Llambias / Keith Bishop connection..... .....or the Stockbridge meeting last November ....or the Novo lie.

Remie Streete would consider a permanent move to Rangers
buster. replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
So does he expect a favourable referral from the same coaching team, advising Llambias what to do with him ? Smells like the usual meaningless BS,........... I'll kiss your badge, please love me / us / Llambias. -
Surely they can't get away with doing that or at least if a shareholder requested sight of the annoucement they'd be forced to give it. They are at least transparent in their MO. --------------------------- ps. May have confused a regulatory annoucement with a statement.

Where does the 'independent' Derek Llambias get his football knowledge from ?
-
In the statement following McDowall's resignation, the club said that he would continue with "his normal duties", nothing about caretaker/interim/whatever manager. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8371-club-statement I doubt his "normal duties" would include picking the team. We are 'managerless' in the true sense of the word and 'enjoy' even more undue influence from Mr MASH.
-
There is no debate to be had. How can a football board have appointed McDowell in the first place and now, keep him in place ? Unless of course MASH want undue influence on the dressing room aswell as the boardroom. .......and if you are happy with that, then you run true to form in the consistency of your judgement.
-
Nothing to say about how the football board have been and are 'doing their job' ?
-
Ibrox has been a relative gravytrain for many on the footballing staff for a longtime. In recent years that particular gravytrain has generally been cutback with some individuals still on previous contracts that simply have to be honoured or settled. Our main problems centre on the new types of gravytrain that were created in recent times that have seen large amounts of cash go with directors and the deals they have signed up to that don't represent value for the football club going forward. Not forgetting the lack of revenue (eg.retail) because of directors giving things away. And the lack of revenue through supporters not trusting the serial misleaders and liars in and around the boardroom. So the multi-layered graytrain has to be studied in detail and appropriate attention given to the most damaging. That forensic study would only come if we can oust the present incumbents and their direct influence from the board.

If you don't appreciate the simple truth for a change then that is up to you. If you don't appreciate that to say he wasn't prepared to go along with this was probably opening the door to being sacked, fine. Remember that McDowell is really a coach, rather than a manager and the club announced that McDowell would be continuing his normal duties (which were coaching). The backbone will be required when Kenny is asked to pass by the office of Easdale and/or Llambias.
-
Two things I'd say, MB................ 1. It's no longer possible to look at this with only a footballing perspective. The very fact that the board is picking the first team only confirms this in the most blatant possible way. 2. McDowell and McCoist have every right to position themselves as they have done. The relevant contracts were agreed and ammended then signed by both the individuals and the club. Coming back to the original point, it's up to the football board to take the necessary timely actions regards the football operation and employees within.
-
I think he has shown more backbone and integrity than others ever did in coming forward and simply telling how things are in an honest and straightforward manner.
-
Who is in ultimate charge of the football operation and is responsible for hiring and firing ? That is where you have to point the finger.
-
A competent and honest football board have recognised the problems a longtime ago and had a new manager appointed to replace McCoist. A normal and hoest football board wouldn't have played bluff with our promotion chances in trying to force McCoist into walking rather than settling or immediately putting him on gardening leave. A normal and honest football board wouldn't have appointed McDowell and after so doing, wouldn't continue with the farce.

Can the SFA please take note of the influence coming from the Ashley direction and get their act together NOW........... instead of kicking cans down the road.

MoodyBlue There is a much bigger picture to this and concerns the continued existence or not of what may be termed the soul of Rangers. The football and the results pale into insignificance. Now given the importance of getting back into the top tier, the previous sentence should highlight the importance of winning the boardroom battle and giving ourselves a chance of re-establishing what we once knew and loved. Sports Direct Reserves in the top tier doesn't interest me.

Maybe Llambias can do away with the manager role at Ibrox and save some more money for his boss to be able to take away with another hand. Perhaps they could centralise the managers role with a Joint Caretaker and John Carver could add his tuppence worth of advice to Llambias in a weekly 10 minute phonecall. Sends out a loud message to all managers out there that only the meek need apply if the job were to come up. This is further backed up by the situation at Newcastle. Sends a loud message to players to disregard Kenny McDowell. Sends out a loud message to dressing room that they should divide. Clearly states that the board consider the football way behind the interests of MASH / Sports Direct.
-
Despite appearing the 'anything for a peaceful life' type, Kenny McDowell hasn't been slow in going public in a straightforward and honest way to show what is going on in matters that directly concern him. We could do with his type on the board !! -------------------------------------------------- What he says is further evidence that the football operation continues to be used as a tool in the ongoing 'War', rather than having a board that ever considers the medium or long-term,.....never mind giving scant importance to the short-term. The days of Mad Vlad were derided and laughed at but what we have at Ibrox is a lot worse because of the ingrained, determined, calculated, spin-backed, carefully planned to give a little (but take a lot more), 'heavyweight shark' aided and abetted by 'won't let go sp.ivs'. The soul of our club is at the edge of a cliff. --------------------------------------------------- It was Rangers, it's becoming Sports Direct Reserves. We can still get our club back but we need to act.

1-1 Comeback underway.........

Rumours of players from Newcastle being sent up here on loan have been doing the rounds since the summer of 2012 when the main Toxic conduit at the BBC, Chris McLaughlin told us about as many as 9 players. It's probably just another coincidence that they are eventually sent up in the transfer window following the Ashley loans.
-
I wouldn't believe that unless confirmed by Hamilton/Bolton and if there had been contact between clubs then I'd like to see exactly the form it took.
-
Add the onerous ontracts on to that and we are at least several tens of millions behind. In numbers, the door is open for Celtic to do 10IAR if they stay on the rails. This has been a transition season for them and I don't think they'll be as disjointed or as poor for at least the next 2 or 3 seasons.

Sports Direct Reserves A football club losing it's soul.

Shows how little Ashley cares about the Newcastle players (FIVE) working under a poor coaching set-up. Sports Direct FC..=..Newcastle Utd Sports Direct Reserves..=.. Rangers
