Ross County chief: chaos at Ibrox has caused sponsor delays...
buster. replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Scottish football is of poor quality from the pitch to the media to the governing bodies. We are a complete Omnishambles and have contributed to the general malaise but then on the day the obscene EPL TV was announced so has the economics of a business that has forgotten the sport. The Smaller provincial teams (bottom six) are struggling whilst the city teams are opening a gap on several levels and threaten to make the top tier into two different leagues within a league. Then you can add the one horse race at the top (in a transitional year for Celtic) and it takes on the look of a dysfunctional set-up. It's an inevitable downward spiral pushed by economics and new generations are increasingly going to look elsewhere for their hobby or football team. That isn't to say that a community run football club can't actually be of more benfit to their Town, rather than chasing footballing dreams, eg. Ross County. -
The Durrant pass to Miko was sublime, the cross was excellent and the finish was superb.

Rangers caretaker boss Kenny McDowall apologises to fans

Address questions about the running of the football operation to the chairman of the Football board, convicted fraudster Sandy Easdale. It would seem as though he is too busy with that address book of his in efforts to bring like-minded individuals to Ibrox,.......... or rather for them to buy shares in a company that he supposedly isn't a director of.......or at least not officially. Oceans are no barrier, one with fraud on his record seems to attract another. There has been no positive strategic management coming from the TRFC board towards the football operation in how long ? They are ripping the pish...... -
What they are currently engaged in is a serious of errors, strange decisions and courses of action that taken together paint a picture that is simply three prong,..Incompetents,... Liars....and..... Incompetent Liars. Or it is something more Machiavellian.
-
No, it's about Following the Money.
-
I think there are much greater problems for anyone at Ibrox to be getting on with. In fact we should recognize that our main problems ly within Ibrox and not chasing cabals or rainbows outwith the stadium. Not forgetting that the most damaging content for our club that has been written or broadcast by the media over the past few years has had it's origen from within Ibrox / St.Vincent Street.
-
They are proving themselves to be the full set................ Incompetent,.... Liars...... and Incompetent Liars. or They are Competent (with their own and related parties interests in mind),....Calculating & Devious.....and have recently brought out the sharp stick to continually poke the support & majority of shareholders with. or A mix of the previous two options

Barry Leach is very much the Sports Direct man on board, having resigned his many directorships within SD just before heading to Ibrox. Derek Llambias is perhaps more your Mr MASH man. Both are Ashley men and IMO therefore 'toxic'.

Rangers First the 12th Largest Shareholder in Rangers

Thank's for the reply Frankie. I too would be astonished if the RST did otherwise but I simply don't know enough about RF to know and for that reason asked the question. -

Is it a given that this 1.4% will be voting against the incumbent board and for the proposed directors ? -
I'd agree that this reeks of a PR tactic but I think it may go further than simple division. It may run alongside and possibly within the 'incumbent board's "Plan of Reaction' to the calling of the General Meeting. The apparent advice from the club's security men was broadcast several days ago and everyone knew of it and that the directors were going to heed it and not attend.............. WHY make an official statement on what was already known ? Who was the statement directed towards ? Being on the club website makes you think it was in the main for a support who already knew. A support who were not happy with the board, unhappy at being beaten by Raith Rovers and were not going to react well to such a communication. I briefly go back to last week and the Llambias communication to the RFB about the date of the GM which as we all know was wrong but our CEO was so sure that he gave Gary Gillian the OK to tell the world before an announcement was made to the markets. It would seem as though the incumbent board and those around them are looking to poke the support with a sharp stick every opportunity they can get......Why ? Coming back to yesterdays statement about the non-attendence of some directors (some don't usually attend anyway). Would they be putting together a case of flimsy evidence together so as to help justify a course of action they may want to take in the coming weeks ? -------------------------------------------------------- The hand of Jack Irvine was partly present in the LONG announcement to the stock exchange about the date of the GM and the boards thoughts on the various votes. I very much believe it is present in this latest tactic. If we look back to Irvine's 'crisis management' in the 5 months from the second Requisition (McColl/PM) of 2013, leading up to the AGM in December.......you'll remember he was on a handsome renumeration package from the club. Irvine's involvement also shows intent to go beyond the 'purly corporate' regards strategy. His on/off working relationship with the Easdale family is curious and it is my belief that he is effectively representing the interests of the 26% (Easdale's have always been a front). Who pays him and where does the money actually come from ? I would bet that it comes indirectly from the club.

DB, I think those scenarios stretch credibility beyond a reasonable limit. The question remains and the answer if there actually is one, could be relevant to the broader outcome going forward.

Between all concerned within or around the incumbent board there is a tapastry of misleading language, lies and incompetence. The bottomline is that they are there to represent themselves and/or related parties. One look at the state of our club, the infrastructure, the accounts from 2012, the jist of the commercial and retail contracts and it's plain to see who has benefited and who has been made to bendover. It's now not a matter of acting in our or in others interests, that much is clear. It's now incompetence or lies. They must GO.........or the club will lose it's soul and wither away.

Are you saying that they may not have really bothered to properly sort out logistics until '4 minutes into injurytime' ? No, not plausible. What was unusual, or at least I consider it so.......was for CEO Llambias to personally give the RFB the 'OK' to publicly announce the date of the General Meeting, in advance of the LSE annoucement. You could ask that as a seperate question altogether. What we are being asked to believe, is that at the time of the conversation between GG (RFB) and Llambias, the date was written in ink and that there was no forseeable variable to change that. What could that unforseeable varaible have been ?

Let's take them at face value for a second and go along with their having been a last minute change in date from the 6th to the 4th of March. What could be the unforseen reason that forced this change,....ideas ?

The RFB are being up front and honest, less than what can be said for the RIFC board. A bit like a straightforward and honest Kenny McDowall shouted down the misleading words of Llambias. Llambias is pouring petrol on his already burning bridges regards credibility. Focus should be on the RIFC board, it's disregard and dishonesty when dealing with supporters, shareholders and even the elected fans board. It would seem as every 'new RIFC board' that is born out of every AGM that pledges to tackle the problems left by previous boards are capable of finding new ways of misleading, lying, circum-navigating corporate goverance and ultimatly serving the interests of themselves as individuals and related parties. By God, do we need to shift this lot out of Ibrox lock, stock and barrel.

For some it is more comfortable to embrace the tapastry of lies or the grey mist of "cannae prove it !" because they are the foundation for a series of judgement calls they have taken over the last few years. Unfortunately, they don't seem to learn from previous mistakes.

Llambias alongside Green, the men who sold the idea of renaming the stadium rights to fansgroups talking about large sums of revenue and buying players when the deal had already been done for a pound coin................... ...............is starting to follow in the footsteps of Green, the serial liar. Don't forget the Llambias / Keith Bishop connection..... .....or the Stockbridge meeting last November ....or the Novo lie.

Remie Streete would consider a permanent move to Rangers
buster. replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
So does he expect a favourable referral from the same coaching team, advising Llambias what to do with him ? Smells like the usual meaningless BS,........... I'll kiss your badge, please love me / us / Llambias. -
Surely they can't get away with doing that or at least if a shareholder requested sight of the annoucement they'd be forced to give it. They are at least transparent in their MO. --------------------------- ps. May have confused a regulatory annoucement with a statement.

Where does the 'independent' Derek Llambias get his football knowledge from ?
-
In the statement following McDowall's resignation, the club said that he would continue with "his normal duties", nothing about caretaker/interim/whatever manager. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8371-club-statement I doubt his "normal duties" would include picking the team. We are 'managerless' in the true sense of the word and 'enjoy' even more undue influence from Mr MASH.
-
There is no debate to be had. How can a football board have appointed McDowell in the first place and now, keep him in place ? Unless of course MASH want undue influence on the dressing room aswell as the boardroom. .......and if you are happy with that, then you run true to form in the consistency of your judgement.
-
Nothing to say about how the football board have been and are 'doing their job' ?
